How to Make A Cup of Delicious Coffee?1. Fill the CO108-NK Gooseneck Kettle with the appropriate amount of water, press the "COFFEE/205℉" Preset, and wait for a few minutes;2. Grind fresh coffee beans to the right fineness with COSORI Coffee Grinder;3. Pour the freshly ground coffee into COSORI Pour Over Coffee Maker;4. Pour the boiling water over the ground coffee in a slow turning motion;5. The coffee drips slowly into the pot, and the delicious coffee is ready!How to Descale/Clean the Kettle?1. Filling the kettle with 1 cup of vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups of water;2. Boiling the liquid and leave it for 2 hours, then use a cloth to clean and wipe;3. Rinse the kettle with clean water, and dry with a soft, clean cloth;4. Repeat as needed.Notes:1. Add at least 118 mL of filtered water to the kettle. Do not fill above the 'MAX' line. Wipe any water from the outside of the kettle and the base.2.It's normal if your kettle exposes spots or rust on the stainless steel bottom after the first use if the water quality in your area is so hard. ​3. The media could not be loaded. As a long-time coffee enthusiast, I decided to take my home-brewing game to a new level a couple of months ago. The three cornerstones of quality home-brewing are: 1) a good grinder, 2) a precise scale, preferably one with a built-in timer, and 3) an efficient and reliable device to heat water. Our focus here is on the third element. After six weeks of rigorous daily use, brewing 2-3 cups of coffee each day, my electric coffee kettle has been performing pretty dang well. I felt compelled to write this review after reading some concerns about temperature accuracy. Naturally, I decided to put my kettle to the test. Using a high-end meat thermometer (which need to be accurate as people rely on them to prevent foodborne illnesses) I tested the temperature distribution of 500mL of water, freshly beeped from the kettle. This volume reflects my typical usage: I brew somewhere between one to two cups at a time, using 50mL to pre-rinse the filter and the rest for brewing. The results were impressive. The thermometer registered 204.3F at the top of the water and 205.2F at the bottom, indicating less than half a percent of error across the volume at the time of the beep. Importantly, the kettle pours from the bottom, where the temperature was virtually spot-on. These findings contradict some reviews I've seen. If your kettle isn't delivering the same performance, I'd advise contacting the company about a possible replacement. Remember, maintaining accurate temperatures is crucial for serious coffee brewing. Keep in mind, though, the kettle's maximum stated capacity is 800mL. Attempting to heat more than this could lead to a drop in temperature accuracy. This kettle marks my first 'serious' foray into coffee brewing, as opposed to boiling water in a stovetop saucepan. I appreciated its well-thought-out safety features. The bottom is exceptionally well-insulated and remains cool to the touch after brewing, eliminating any concern about damaging your countertop. However, the sides do heat up, which is to be expected. On top of that, it's very easy to use. Turn it on, choose a temp, and before it reaches temp, hit the Hold button to have it hold temp for up to an hour if you need to multitask. The pouring action is smooth and predictable, without any after-pour dripping from the spout. About the only other thing I'd want would be some kind of real-time temperature monitor (whether analog or digital) on the kettle itself to verify its ability to reach and hold temp over time. Considering the $70 price tag, I believe this kettle delivers 95-98% of the performance you'd get from considerably more expensive models. While I can see the appeal of the additional features offered by higher-end kettles as I continue to refine my coffee-brewing skills, I'm currently satisfied with the simplicity and functionality of this Cosori model. ... show more

I have never written a review of any kind before, but this kettle has inspired me to tell the world how great it is! The Cosori Gooseneck Kettle with Five Variable Presets is simply one of the best products I have ever owned! I have now bought seven of them because I love it so much, I want everyone I care about to have one too. I bought my first one in December of 2020 for myself. I loved it so much, I immediately bought two more for my daughters. Since then, I've bought one for a dear friend, one for my daughter-in-law, one to replace the one my daughter accidentally set on a hot burner of her stove, and now one to keep at work for all my coworkers to enjoy along with me. What's so great about it? First of all, if you've never tried pour-over coffee, you're missing out. I had an electric kettle before this one to boil water for tea, and it worked fine but all it did was boil water. When I started using the pour-over coffee method, I found out how good coffee could be, and I wanted a kettle that would get the water just right. When I found this one, with heat settings for not only coffee, but various teas and a boil setting, I decided to try it despite a number of reviews that complained of rust inside the kettle. Psssh! Just take care of your stuff, people! This thing works flawlessly, gets the temperature just right for whatever hot beverage you're making for the absolute best flavor, and cleans up like nothing I've ever seen. (I will never again have a nasty drip coffeemaker sitting on my countertop!) And it's beautiful! As I mentioned earlier, I bought my first one in December of 2020, so I've had it long enough for any potential problems to come to light. You can see in my photos that it is still in perfect condition. These are photos of the one I've owned for over a year - I'll be taking it into work on Monday to share with my coworkers. Here's my whole routine: 1. Heat the water according to whatever hot beverage I'm making (usually coffee), pour any excess water out of the kettle, and put it back on the base WITHOUT THE LID. The kettle and lid dry quickly, and I've never seen any trace of rust. 2. I have hard city water so when I start to see white spots in the bottom of the kettle (believe me, you will), I just pour in some white vinegar and let it sit for 10-20 minutes, then rinse until I don't smell vinegar anymore. Look again at the photos of the inside of my 14-month old kettle and its lid - no rust or no lime deposits - every part of it still looks brand new! Just don't set it on a hot stove burner like my daughter did. The bottom of the kettle is plastic and will melt! ... show more

It's very easy to use! I love tea and just recently realized that teas taste better when brewed at specific temperatures. The preset temperatures are incredibly helpful! It's a little smaller than most other kettles, that doesn't bother me, but I know others may look through reviews before purchasing it. Cleaning it is really simple, I just use half and half vinegar and water and put it on the boil setting and rinse it out when it's done. How often you need to clean it will depend on the water you use. Overall, this is a great tea kettle and I definitely recommend it if you're on the market for one! ... show more
