It’s a nice water kettle. I got this for my mom and she uses it on a daily bases. It’s an average size and even I use it often for teas or cup ramens. It carry’s a good amount of water but usually I add half the kettle and it takes like 4 minutes to fully boil. The water tastes normal, no metal taste after. The main color is grey (as visible) and the kettle has this feature that I love which is the auto shut off. So if I go quickly to the bathroom ( I recommend keeping an eye on it though) I can come back and not really worry. I recommend 10/10. Just make sure you don’t get the Electric part wet (like the bottom).

It just died. Why 5 Stars if it just died? Cause it just died after several years of abuse multi times a day, every day. For 20$ This thing is a beast. Fairly quick too!

Large Capacity and fast heating! This kettle has the auto-shutoff, which I will never be without, and it is easy to use. I prefer to have the power switch on the handle and not some flimsy plastic piece below the handle, and this has the handle switch. I have noted with the large capacity, if I fill it up to the 2.0L and then try to pour the whole amount out by almost upturning it, the volume of the amount of water coming out the little filter at the spout, is too much for it to handle and it then leaks, or more like, drips. My solution is just to not fill it all that way, and only pour "normally", not being in a hurry. This alleviates the drip factor. Great little kettle and only hopes it last 3 years of daily use, like my last one did. Time will tell, but it IS a good item and durably built without being too heavy when at maximum capacity! Would buy again.

This has been a great addition to our kitchen. Not only does it deliver hot water is a short period of time, the black and glass decanter and blue lights blends in well with our kitchen decor and it fascinating to watch it go through its boiling stages.

EDIT: When my first one died, I absolutely did not blame the manufacturer as I was using it WELL beyond normal daily usage, however my second unit was only used as intended ( a few times each day for tea) and it still hasn't lasted as long as I would expect. 18 months really is a sad life expectancy. It works great while its working, but it will randomly die on you in the not too distant future leaving you sad and looking for an emergency replacement. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I was amazed when I saw a young girl at work using one of these for her tea. Although I'm a coffee drinker, I also love tea and cocoa. I was so impressed with how quickly this thing not only heats, but actually BOILS water. In addition to water for tea and cocoa, I've also used it to heat water for my Idahoan Potatoes, and last winter when my water pump died and I was bringing 35 degree well water up from the basement for a week, this heated water for washing dishes and bathing. It did the job again for TWO WEEKS a few months later when my water heater died. If you are a tea connoisseur, this doesn't have temperature control to select the perfect temp for the particular tea you're brewing. However, if you're looking for something super simple that just works, and works great, this is it. You literally just flip one button to turn it on, and it shuts off automatically once boiling. It then keeps the water hot for quite a while. I will say that as of this morning, my unit is no longer working after 1 year, 5months. However given how heavily I've used it, I'm not going to consider that a fault at this point. In addition to my normal daily use MULTIPLE TIMES, remember I had used it for heating large quantities of water, running it back to back. Sometimes four times in a row. It's absolutely safe to say that I've gotten my money's worth.
