Pour the boiling water over the ground coffee in a slow turning motion;5. The coffee drips slowly into the pot, and the delicious coffee is ready.How to Descale/Clean the Kettle?1. Filling the kettle with 1 cup of vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups of water.2. Boiling the liquid and leave it for 2 hours, then use a cloth to clean and wipe.3. I have never written a review of any kind before, but this kettle has inspired me to tell the world how great it is! The Cosori Gooseneck Kettle with Five Variable Presets is simply one of the best products I have ever owned! I have now bought seven of them because I love it so much, I want everyone I care about to have one too. I bought my first one in December of 2020 for myself. I loved it so much, I immediately bought two more for my daughters. Since then, I've bought one for a dear friend, one for my daughter-in-law, one to replace the one my daughter accidentally set on a hot burner of her stove, and now one to keep at work for all my coworkers to enjoy along with me. What's so great about it? First of all, if you've never tried pour-over coffee, you're missing out. I had an electric kettle before this one to boil water for tea, and it worked fine but all it did was boil water. When I started using the pour-over coffee method, I found out how good coffee could be, and I wanted a kettle that would get the water just right. When I found this one, with heat settings for not only coffee, but various teas and a boil setting, I decided to try it despite a number of reviews that complained of rust inside the kettle. Psssh! Just take care of your stuff, people! This thing works flawlessly, gets the temperature just right for whatever hot beverage you're making for the absolute best flavor, and cleans up like nothing I've ever seen. (I will never again have a nasty drip coffeemaker sitting on my countertop!) And it's beautiful! As I mentioned earlier, I bought my first one in December of 2020, so I've had it long enough for any potential problems to come to light. You can see in my photos that it is still in perfect condition. These are photos of the one I've owned for over a year - I'll be taking it into work on Monday to share with my coworkers. Here's my whole routine: 1. Heat the water according to whatever hot beverage I'm making (usually coffee), pour any excess water out of the kettle, and put it back on the base WITHOUT THE LID. The kettle and lid dry quickly, and I've never seen any trace of rust. 2. I have hard city water so when I start to see white spots in the bottom of the kettle (believe me, you will), I just pour in some white vinegar and let it sit for 10-20 minutes, then rinse until I don't smell vinegar anymore. Look again at the photos of the inside of my 14-month old kettle and its lid - no rust or no lime deposits - every part of it still looks brand new! Just don't set it on a hot stove burner like my daughter did. The bottom of the kettle is plastic and will melt! ... show more

I bought this mainly for pour over coffee and itโ€™s been great. The gooseneck spout gives you really good control over the pour, which makes it much easier to slowly saturate the grounds compared to using a regular kettle. It heats water surprisingly fast and the temperature presets are convenient depending on what youโ€™re making. I usually use it for coffee but itโ€™s nice having the options for tea as well. The controls on the base are simple and easy to figure out after using it once or twice. It also looks really nice on the counter and feels well made. Compared to a normal kettle, the controlled pour and temperature settings make a noticeable difference when brewing coffee. Itโ€™s really nice effective works fast, does exactly what itโ€™s meant to do. I bought this for my mom for Christmas in 2023 and I would have given it 5 stars but the goose neck part broke after only a year of using it. She used it on a daily basis so I would assume itโ€™s because she was using it so much but I still think it should last a little longer. After a grueling search for a kettle to itch my tea obsession I have come to the conclusion this kettle is the best option out there. It offers zero plastic contact with water, something I'd think to be common sense but sadly isn't for many. It offers great durability that is shown through its 2-year warranty and customer reviews. It also allows for precise temperature control on the Bluetooth model (slightly more expensive at $77) for connoisseurs. As someone privacy focused, it's annoying I need an app, but the tradeoff is ultimately worth it as it's a massive convenience to see the temp of the water in the other room and start the kettle remotely (or even set a schedule). Super cool to know I've got enough water for my next cup of tea. That is a genuinely useful feature! There are always ways to get around privacy issues if you're determined enough as well, but the features it offers are worth the hassle. The Cuisinart GK1 was my close second based on research but ultimately did not provide the same value for the money in comparison to this kettle. The GK1 has plastic nubs on its lid. It offers a 3 year warranty but is almost double the cost of this kettle at $130. It offers temp control in 5-degree increments (instead of precise 1 degree) and has no smart controls. There are other kettles out there even more expensive, but I've just gotta say why? Even if you have the money this is simply the best value and offers everything you'd ever need. The build quality is great! I love the feel and look of the kettle. The black color is slick, but I think they should go beyond just black of the Bluetooth model to accommodate more kitchen styles. It would also be nice to see a little more water capacity, but 0.8 isn't too bad. Cosori seems like a great brand. Good on them for marketing no plastic contact. Avoiding microplastic exposure should be a priority for everyone! Overall, I'm super happy with this purchase. It took a lot of research to find the best value, and this is it.
