It’s a great kettle. I did have one replaced under warranty - just under the warranty period, the kettle stopped working. The people from Cosori were great and got me a new one - about 3 years ago - and this one is going strong. I love that equal parts water and vinegar, set to full boil will remove the lime and mineral deposits. I bought this before getting married and my wife has come to love this kettle.     • Simple, effective, works at high elevation (6300')

I'm buying another one after the auto-shutoff failed after 3 years. Simple and performs very well. A key feature for me is that the auto-shutoff works even at high elevation. I live at 6300', where water boils at 201°F, but the auto-shutoff detects boiling water and shuts off after about 15 seconds or so. The pour filter is too restrictive for my liking, but it's attached to the lid, so it's easy to open the lid at pour with no restriction. I would appreciate an audible alert when it shuts off, as well as a keep-hot function. But these are nice-to-haves, not requirements for me. Simplicity is a balancing virtue, so I'm not reducing my rating because these features are missing. We did experience some light rusting of the stainless steel bottom of the pot; however, this seemed to have no ill effects on the function or taste. ... show more

Unit was bought to replace a similarly-made kettle that had stopped functioning. Unfortunately, the first one that was bought stopped functioning about a month and change in. Contacted support, who requested a video of the issue, which was that the product didn't seem to be turning on despite clearing having power supplied. I bought it so I wouldn't have to heat up the kitchen in the summer to make tea or oatmeal, and I didn't want to spend too much due to my water-ruining appliances. Why did I wait so long to get this?!? So the wife and I both like various instant hot drinks, oatmeal, etc. For years we had been using a hot water heater/coffee maker. It worked but you had to continually add water as the water heater side capacity was low. Not bad if only making one cup, but two large cups and it was a pain. It finally gave up the ghost and would blink "add water" even when full and refuse to heat. Decided to give this electric kettle a try and wow! what a difference. Plenty of capacity to make both of us large cups and hot cereals if we want, and it does it so fast you barely have time to prep the cups and bowls before you have nice piping hot water. The clear sides make it easy to see as the water is heating if you want to pull it before its a rolling boil. The base is well designed so that the kettle is not going go tip or slide off and once lifted it instantly turns off. Definitely one of the better kitchen gadgets I've got. ... show more
