Like most folks, I've been a daily Amazon user for years. This is one of only a few (if any) reviews that I have posted. I have been a veteran beach goer my whole life (60 years) and always use an umbrella. I don't like direct exposure to the sun. I don't want to sound dramatic, but this product is the most innovative umbrella / sun shade that I've ever seen. The bottom line is that it works with the wind instead of fighting it. It only needs a minimal breeze to work effectively. It makes a much larger area of shade than a typical beach umbrella. Because it works with the wind, like a wind vane, you only need to adjust your chair as the sun moves. No need to re-install like a typical umbrella. It's a little pricey but well worth the investment....

The media could not be loaded. We bought the shade September of last year. This is true review. I was not paid to say anything, but I figured after using it a few times now it was time to review it. We just had this on the beach Hatteras in North Carolina and it was a very windy day. You can see by the video a consistent wind of 25 to 30 mph with Gust quite a bit above that, And we had absolutely no issues. If you look at the picture I created a cotter pin to put through where they had that little knob of plastic, which for me, mine broke off the very first time we put it up. I just drilled a hole through that exact spot Rigged up a line holding the pin and now when I set up, I just pushed it through. And to me it made it so much more stable and I would highly recommend they create a better pin system to hold the top portion on during very windy days. I highly recommend during set up. You just take the auger part out of the bag first Clear the loose sand, and then screw it down in and I would go as far as you can like past the little red line that they show, before putting the top portion on, I just felt like it made the the base way more stable, and as you can see from my video, it worked perfectly. This is mainly for two people. It will not shade a huge area, but for my wife and it works perfectly and the set up takes literally about two minutes, mostly just auguring the base down into the sand as far as possible to taking it down. It’s easy. It works better with two people on a very windy day like that day where one can hold the end while the other kind of pulls out the Bar and starts to wind it up that way it’s not flapping and pulling out of your hands just my suggestion. We love it and we will keep using it. If anything changes I will update my review. The unit is also very light. I mean I would guess maybe 2 pounds or so and it’s got a shoulder strap, but it is quite easy to carry around.

The media could not be loaded. Best sunshade ever! I did a lot of research before buying a sunshade and I’m 100% satisfied with this product. First of all, it costs less than competitors & yes, I know it costs more than a beach umbrella but do you wanna be running down the beach to chase after it when the wind blows it away?? It’s lightweight, doesn’t take up much room in my Kia Spectra (sm car), and is super easy to install. Plus, it offers enough shade for my family of 4 to find comfort/shade from the sun. Oh & a huge difference between Solbello and its competitors is that you don’t have to reposition it bc it moves on a swivel with the wind. The sail and its poles are very durable. I’m sure it came with instructions but I didn’t need them. It’s that straightforward. You take out the pole, pop out the handles & twist it into the sand then open the sail out like wings and click it into place in the base pole. A lot of reviewers said it’s noisy but that was not the case for me and I’m one that has a keen ear for noise. This company blew me away from the start. Before I’d even had a chance to write a review or take my beach trip, they sent me a free quiet shade. I am so thankful for Solbello & am strongly advising you consider this w/o hesitation!

Perfect for the beach!! We always struggled with umbrellas on days when the windy was stronger and I was never completely comfortable leaving them up and walking away since it's not uncommon for them to take off down the beach! None of those worries with this shade since it works with the wind and not against it. This shade is so light, sets up easily and quickly and is just as easy to take down and pack up. It doesn't take much breeze to keep the shade up so we never tried the tie outs. We had enough shade for 3 people all day & this shade doesn't block the view in any direction. If we find that we need more room, I'd love to buy another. The shade square does move with the sun throughout the day but that happens with any shade. We didn't have any issues with wind shifting direction but there's a pin that can hold the shade pole in place if necessary. Great build quality and great company to back up the product. Couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: We are very experienced beach-goers, and have tried a ll kinds of shades over the years. My husband broke his arm this summer and I knew I needed something easy — after doing a little research, this seemed like a great option. Immediately I was impressed with the quality. Everything from the bag, to the fabric to the components are really well made. Everything fits in the bag without a struggle. The best part, though, is the set up. I am not exaggerating when I say it takes less than 2 minutes to set up, and only needs one person. The design is brilliant — it pivots with the wind, works in low wind conditions, stays put even as the tide comes in. It’s also way quieter than you’d expect. Taking it down is also a snap. It would be a great option for a single person/parent, small family or older couple. It’s effortless and very lightweight. Not having to predict the wind direction, fill up sand bags and deal with lines is a huge upgrade. Lots of people on the beach were admiring our set up after struggling with 10x10s, umbrellas flipping inside out or complicated set ups. I predict we will see more of these on the beach later this season! Wind resistance: Great in low or high wind Build quality: Great quality and attractive design
