Adding an awning to our back porch was an afterthought so any awning that i wanted installed professionally wasn't going to fit. I needed 18 inches above the door and all i have is 12 inches so this is a good alternative to a traditional awning. It's not very sturdy, it's fairly easy to install. I don't recommend doing installing by yourself, it's annoying since the parts twist out of the grooves, etc. But other than that, you are getting a plastic awning for under 50.00, don't expect much. At the same time, it's not a bad idea. Mine has held up, it's on the back door of the house. I would recommend this to anyone in the same boat as i was. I did buy the warranty that was offered. I talked to a couple of local awning companies prior to ordering this and they were the ones who recommended something like this. They did give me the caveat that they were plastic and flimsy thus the reason why I bought the warranty when i purchased the awning. So far, so good.

Installation was a huge pain. Practically need to be an octopus to get this thing together. And it seems flimsy until you actually get it up there. Definitely need two people for install. But, it was a cost effective solution for my basement door that had zero protection from the elements. It has survived several bad storms with heavy winds, so overall I’m very happy with the purchase!

Ok so this is going to be the first part of my review I will update this after the winter to see how they hold up. So I received the product in the mail and it took me about an 2 hours to put them together and hang them by myself. A little patients is required for this just take your time. I would recommend going on U-Tube to look up some videos on how some people installed them. They were very easy to put together, but if you’re not handy I suggest getting an extra pair of hands. I would suggest pre drinking your holes and make sure you measure your distance for everything. DO not hang it too low to the door if you have a screen door as you need the door to open fully. If they withstand the winter here in New England I will probably give an even better review of the product.

Initially this product arrived and looked great! Shortly after it had been installed and we had rain we noticed the water somehow gets trapped in between the plastic and it NEVER dries out! Instead mold and mildew grow inside and it's impossible to dry or clean out. I tried time and time again to reach out to seller but they turned a deaf ear and avoided helping to resolve this matter. Not a good product and not a good seller. AVOID

This item is comprised of corrugated plastic, two strips of thin aluminum and is all held together with 4 self tapping 1/4 metal screws. The original engineering may have been sufficient, but the materials used and production tolerances make this a total waste of money. Take note of other reviews, if you can get this together, it wont stay that way to long, as it give away in any gusty wind situation. NOTE - if you want to return this, it will be at your expense, and with the price point, it is not work it. Mine is in a garage sale today.

Liked that the product is light weight. However the hardware sent was not able to be used because they did not take into consideration the thickness of the brackets. I had to buy my own. Screws that go through panel into lag Bolts needed to be longer by the thickness of the panel. Approximately 1.5 inches longer. So this required a trip to home improvement store and if you can believe this the Chinese hardware is not compatible with American made hardware. Now I had these shield in the wall which I could not get out and could not find a longer bolt that would tread into it because their tread pitch is not American standard or metric standard. What a disaster. Had to re-drill more holes and get new hardware. Then after installing found out that the edges of the panels are not sealed and with the first rain filled up with water internally. Bad design. Working on credit from vendor.
