I like the quality, it has a strap webbing sewn inside the hemmed edge instead of what looks like sewn folded fabric edges on other brands. The size was something I learned by trail and error. I had a 12x12 distance between the 4x4 posts and with the shade rings attached directly to the posts, the shade had about a foot sag and droop on the sides and the low spot in the middle. Then in the slightest breeze, the shade would flap in the wind a foot high then a foot lower for a 2 foot change. It was like in grade school gym class with the parachute everyone would flap the edge to billow the chute with air. When I pulled the edge about a foot closer to the post, it was fairly taught as I expected so I ordered an 11x11 shade from the same company and just installed with adjustable turn buckle set and the new shade is almost taught without stressing it and is a much better fit. I kept the 12x12 as a backup since it had been maybe outside the return window. Unfortunately the 11x11 was a “custom size” and about $90 instead of the 12x12 for about $40 something. The bottom line is I found the shade size matching the area size sagged considerably so in my experience go a foot smaller and use the adjustable turnbuckles. It would be nice if the description had some fitting suggestions to select a size smaller to avoid sagging.

Put it up today and cools off the porch completely. I put up the sun shade plus a couple curtains and lights to jazz up the space and it has completely changed the feeling of our back deck. I feel good sitting back here now whereas before it was just a hot mess that burned my feet. Haven't had rain on it yet but from the texture alone I can tell that it'll be able to stand a few inches. I'll probably take it down during storms, but other than that, it feels very sturdy. Would highly recommend for the price.
