My refrigerator does not have an ice maker. Which is fine because I don't use much ice. Initially I got a huge tub and would buy bags of ice that got nasty before I wouldn't use it all and it took up way too much space. Now, I use two small silicon cylinder ice cube makers to make just enough ice for when I need it. In one I make plain ice and in the other I make coffee ice cubes. These little silicon ice makers work great and make just enough for two average drinks. I wanted something to hold the ice so I could build up a small supply to have on hand. This ice bucket looked like the perfect option. I could keep all my ice making in one container and with the lid I might be able to keep it fresher. This ice bucket is large enough to hold both silicon molds and a couple of quart bags if ice cubes. Now I have an ice bucket that is perfect to take from the freezer to the counter. Having the bucket prechilled will help the ice last longer on the counter too. My only drawback with this is that the lid does not appear to be double-walled too.

It's a great size ice bucket, used it a family gathering where the lid was being pulled from the bucket multiple times and that's where the only flaw I would say is in the construction over all. The lid has a flex to it not sure how that will affect it over time and after hundreds of more times being pulled off the bucket over all great insulated ice bucket the black color looks premium. This product was provided to me through the vine program, my opinions and thoughts on this product are my own.

Build Quality Other than the paint job this is a well built ice bucket. The bottom has a nice gripping rubberized foot. The bucket is well insulated and holds ice well. The lid closes tightly. The handle is well secured and works well. In my bucket there was 1 small pin point dent and a few scratches <1cm square. Paint job The gold finish on the unit I received is just bad. There are multiple spots of light painting where the underlying silver colored metal shows through. The top handle has a spot where the paint is worn off completely. Use The bucket actually works quite well for ice. Final thoughts This bucket is fine and I recommend it except for the gold finish. I don't think I would have any complaints with the brushed silver or painted finish options.

Construction seems good, we went for the natural metal colored ice bucket. Insulation is more than fine for several hours. We do have an ice dispenser built into our fridge/freezer, so this bucket is more for those times we are entertaining in our screen porch, and for that it is perfect.

There are two major pros and cons about this ice bucket. Pro: it really does have a GREAT seal to keep your ice frozen. Con: Where do you put the scoop?! If it had a little hook on the side that would be so nice since it can just slide off the top, and if you put it in the bucket it won't seal. I still love the ice bucket and think its perfect for chilling champagne or just serving ice at the table.

I purchase the sage green ice bucket for no reason other than the fact I thought it looked cool. Upon receiving it, it is cool. I'm a hand wash guy, so i'm not concerned about its door ability in the dishwasher. I don't think it would fare well. And since it only holds ice there's no reason for it to be in there. As far as holding ice it does a fine job of that. I put it out on my counter and the Ice stayed cold for as long as could be expected with multiple people opening it up and using it. It's a good looking ice bucket that seems to do the job. It's at an excellent price and comes with a handy scoop. The insulated lid stays on firmly and certainly helps everything stay cold. Over all this is a winner i'm glad to have gotten it.
