The one litter box really cleans itself! I’ve had three self-cleaning litter boxes so far for my two cats, this one is the one gets the job done! It’s designed to effectively clear pees and poops from the chamber, and the container is properly sealed so I don’t have to be reminded of the presence of cats litter, it runs quietly. But I have to make sure there is no litter stuck on the bottom once in a while to eliminate the buildup. I take out the trash bag once a week for my two cats. App on the phone works well so I am informed whenever I want to check on my cats. I’ve had the unit for three weeks now, so far I’m loving it.

3 days in and will update again in a couple of weeks! Super excited when this arrived at my home and right away ran into an issues . Before I even unboxed I scanned the bar code on outside of box that brought me to a blank page. Then after opening I scanned 2 more bar codes that were suppose to bring me to the pet cove app, they too directed me to a blank page. I then scanned the code on the litter box itself that only brought me to the pet cove store site. Annoyed I didn't see any real directions on set up I searched on my Google play store for purrtek and no exact match so then searched pet cove and after scrolling down I found an app. Once installed the app I spent the next 2 hours configuring my wifi so that I could have 2.4 on my phone and to connect the litter box. The app is not helpful in the sense of helping with set up or how to use. It identifies the buttons on box but no explanation of what each button actually telling you what it's use is for. For example the infrared sensor detection is by default off- does this mean it needs to be on to detect my cat? I have no idea but I always want the box to detect my cat to insure my cats safety so why would it be off..ever? I also have no idea on how to use the cleaning cycles, like if I have it set to clean every hour will it only clean every hour and not after my cat uses it or will it detect that my cat is in there if in the box 😳? Same with clumping feature, I have no idea how long it should clump for. I also don't know if there is a way to have the app set for multi cat weights and my cats have similar weights but the app varies a tiny bit as it's not exact when I see my one cat go in 3 times in the matter of a couple of minutes the weight slightly changes and I don't know if both are using it. There are no instructions on how to disassemble to clean or how to get the litter inside so I made the mistake of just pouring into small opening so I spilled a ton onto floor and now I pour into a cup and pour into box that way but that can't be how it's done so I'm either a little behind technically or this could use some improvements but instructions with more explanation of how to use would be helpful to know how to properly use the machine. As far as as changing the bag it is simple and main function of the box is good. I haven't smelled anything which is quite impressive as my cats have the stinkiest poops ever. Will update soon! UPDATE, AS PROMISED Have now had the litter box a couple of weeks and have worked out some of the issues on my own by playing around with it. I figured out how to take the drum out to fill litter and clean out. There is a latch on back that isn't as obvious as one would think at least not to me. Customer service is super important when making a large purchase or really any purchase and I was contacted very soon after my initial review letting me know that they will gladly help me to understand the machine so that I can use it correctly and to it's potential therefore making my life easier which is why I purchased. I was kind of annoyed because I felt like I was being told that if I wanted help with the problems I put in my review then I needed to ask which to me was pretty clear that if you know the issues I'm having then yes please send me the guides I need BUT in the last response I was informed that was Amazon's policy that I can contact the seller but the seller needed to take certain steps to reach me to not violate policy through Amazon! Anyways PetCove has been very responsive and has even refunded the purchase in hopes that I will continue to use the product that they are confident in and hope that I can spread the word. In all sincerity I actually am liking the auto litter box. It's pretty basic, not complex and does exactly what it is supposed to do! I just wish it came with clear instructions or any instructions! Customer service is top notch! Product is very good!

Pros - great for multiple cats, can go a week before changing the bag. Easy to put together. Price point is not bad in comparison to other models. I love the convience of the of litter box. Cons- the hole for the cats to enter is a bit small for my larger cat and she won't use it. I wish it came apart for easier cleaning. If not cleaned well it will smell.

Updated review after 5 months of owning this litter box: I hate it. It’s messy, it smells and it has a poor design. I played phone tag with the customer service department for a few weeks and then I just gave up since the guy who I needed to talk to was never there. Do yourself a favor, just buy a different one. This one is Crap. I’ve had this litter box for 1 week and these are the pros and cons. I’ll update again after more time. PROs It’s quiet, I can barely hear it clean The litter sifts out the poo and leaves it leveled for the each use I like that I can manually clean it from the app and set the timers to clean after every use My kitten thinks this thing is a toy, and plays in it I’m saving more litter over all (so far) and once my kitten doesn’t play in it anymore, I’m sure I’ll save even more. For reference, I’ve never been a scooper, I’ll change the whole box weekly. It’s a more affordable option than others on the market and it looks sleek And, how can you beat a lifetime warranty. CONs It smells, this was the one thing I was really hoping this machine would take care of. But unfortunately, I can still smell the waste. You can only use specific bags for the waste, I’d prefer it to be more versatile and be able to use regular garbage bags or at least ones I can buy locally instead of online Setting it up was somewhat easy, but getting the gunk from the tape off took a while ( thank you Goo-gone) I wish the app would let me program what cat is using it by name based on their weight. My adult cat is not a fan, I’m hoping she’ll warm up to it eventually. But as of right now she’s pooping on the side of the box and it’s getting stuck instead of getting sifted out (this is also contributing to the smell) The size of your cat matters. My older cat is 10.5 pounds and long hair, it’s not as easy for her to use the box than it is for my 5lb kitten Speaking of my kitten, he’s flinging the litter out if the box. Again, he thinks this is a toy, not a fault on the machine, but definitely annoying and I have more litter in the ground now than I did before. Notifications on the app are intense and constantly go off. If this bothers you, turn those off (again, kitten) I’ve had to add litter to it twice in one week. This is most likely due to my kitten being able to fling the litter out, but a higher lip or lower barrel could eliminate this. I haven’t cleaned the barrel yet, but I need to. Unfortunately with a robot litter box I was hoping I could get more than 1 week before I would have to scrub it. I’m avoiding scrubbing it currently and writing a review. Again, I was really hoping I could go longer without having to take the machine apart to scrub it, but here we are. I submitted the lifetime warranty, but I never received a confirmation email. So, I have no idea if it’s registered. That’s annoying, that lifetime warranty is the exact reason I chose this box. Overall, I’m ‘meh’ on the litter box. If you have the money and clean litter for every use and no sounds while cleaning is what you’re looking for, with a lifetime warranty, this is ideal. If the smell and ease of use, or cutting down on your cleaning is your priority, you might want to consider a different option. I’ll update this after more time, I’m still on the fence if keeping the box is worth it for me. Updated review: Cleaning this beast is a nightmare. Poop a was flying on to my floor so I checked and sure enough, the bag was full but the full bag indicator was not on. I ended up pulling it all apart to clean it. I had to vacuum the litter out that couldn’t be dumped. There was waste remnants stuck to the side and bottom. I had to scrub them out by hand, more like scrape them off. It took me a good half hour to 45 minutes to clean this thing. Ugh, that was disappointing. Then, be aware, you have to reconnect it to the WiFi and app after disconnecting it.
