I give my husband a MVMT watch each year. This was the first year I purchased a metal strap rather than leather. It looks really cool and seems durable so far. These are great watches that generally don’t show wear after a year or so of use.

    • Very aesthetic but not great quality
The watch is very beautiful as advertised. But, the quality of the material is not great for the price they are asking. Overall I'm happy with it, I just think the price should be lower for the quality of the materials.

I had a Movado that needed repaired. This watch was just a bit more than the estimated repair cost. I have a MVMT that I use for a daily work watch and was happy with its accuracy & price. I purchased this new watch instead of repairing the expensive Movado. It was a no brainer as these stylish watch keep accurate time and look sharp! Update April 2023 - after about 9 months I did notice paint starting to come off, but that was only on the bottom and only after I typed a few times putting the watch directly on my desk, and even then the paint coming off was minimal and really didn't bother me. The band, however, snapped in one spot after just over a year. This was quite light use as well. The watch was worn 1-3 times a week for only a few hours at a time and on rare occasion worn around 8 hours on some days. With that light usage the band should have lasted a lot longer than that. While the replacement band is not horribly expensive, $50 a year extra for a new band that is worn only 1-3 times a week for only a few hours at a time is silly. They really need to increase the quality of their bands. I like how it looks, better than I thought I would. I saw one photo on a wrist that made me think I would not like it, but it is a very nice sleek looking watch. Pros: -Looks great, enough so that it catches other people's eyes. -Great budget watch price without feeling cheap. -While the metal doesn't feel heavy duty, it does feel plenty sturdy. -No paint chipping. I have been watching this very closely, been wearing it for just under a week now and every day I inspect it pretty closely to see if black paint is chipping off the band and none is at all, so very happy about that. -If you're looking for a sleek minimalist watch, it doesn't get more minimalist than this. Cons: -No way to see time when dark. I thought it would have a touch of glow in the dark or something, but it doesn't. So if it's dark and I want to see the time, I first look at my wrist out of habit and then after being annoyed that I can't see anything, I have to pull my phone out to check the time. -Super minimalist with this color means every imperfection on the face is seen. On most watches you may not have to wipe the face down very often as you can't see little specs of water or dust very well. On this watch, I have to clean the face multiple times day because of water or dust or whatever else touches it because it's so intensely noticeable. Good part of this is that it forces you to have a very clean watch at all times. -Similar to my last point, if the screen gets a scratch/scuff on it, I feel it's going to be game over. It will be extremely noticable to have that kind of imperfection on a watch like this so I can only hope the watch is made with some very high quality/anti scratch material. -If you like the feel of a heavy watch, this is not it. It's quite light, which is taking some getting use to for me as I used to get very large heavy watches a few years back. -If you are used to any other features other than time alone you may get frustrated, I keep looking at my wrist for the date and then remember it's not there. While this is not a large con, I'm simply saying that if arw used to any additional features then they will not be there. No seeing time in the dark, no date or timer, etc. Overall, I knew I was buying a minimalist watch and I am happy with it, just wish it allowed me to see the time in the dark. ... show more
