UPDATE: DO NOT BUY THIS LITTER BOX!!!!! The errors continue with no resolution. I was out of town for several days and returned to a disaster. The litter box was stuck upside down in a cycle, therefore preventing the cars feom entering. Thankfully, my back-up standard litter box was there. However, it wasn't being cleaned due to being out of town. A complete mess. Also, when the drums does rotate (still with the anti-pinch error of course), it throws litter everywhere. Litter comes out of the cracks and seams of the plastic drum, and fills up the inside of the machine between the drum and the outer case/housing. The cats have still not used it since this. Waste of money, waste of time, and has actually been MORE work than a standard litter box. It might be too soon to tell, so I will update this review if my opinion changes or if I decide to return it. Every time the machine tries to clean, I get an error message about anti-gravity pinch and it stops mid-cycle. The manual/instructions are terrible, and it just says to clean the sensor on the bottom. Where is the sensor? How do I clean it? On a positive note, one of my cats seems to use it better than the other so far. I am leaving a normal litterbox until I can be confident that the error messages are resolved and that both cats will use it.

I love this litter box. It works exactly as expected. It's super quiet and big enough for a large cat. The cat sensor is excellent and immediately stops operation when my curious maine coon cat pops his head in to inspect the cleaning process. The app doesn't allow you to track each cat individually but considering the price of the unit against its competitors, I can live with that. It records the weight of the cat and the time in the box in the operations log. That's enough for me. You can customize the interior light color and brightness. I turn mine off since my cats aren't used to having a light in their box. You can also customize the cleaning interval (number of minutes to wait after the cat has finished before running a cleaning cycle) or run in manual mode, if your cat is skittish about the cleaning process. The waste bin is high capacity so if you go away for a week, your box can handle the waste of multiple cats. I have three cats and this box works well for them. You could absolutely get by with one box for three cats. However, I like it so much I'm getting a second one, one for upstairs and one for downstairs because that's what my cats are accustomed to. The box is well built, sturdy, easy to set up and easy to operate. It's definitely a great value for the money. I highly recommend this litter box! Two paws up. =)

It took time and patience to transition my cats to the robo box. I have two cats and at first both were very hesitant. The braver one took to it within a few days, considerably longer for the second. I tried all the tricks....putting treats in front of the box, adding attracting powder to the litter, leaving the top off, I stopped cleaning the old boxes, etc.. The fraidy cat would still not get in that strange contraption. Finally, as a last ditch effort I took away the old box. I figured either the robo box would get used or I would deal with a mess. Thankfully both cats are now using the robo regularly with no problem. At this point I am still leaving the top off, only putting it on for cleaning. When I'm sure they are both totally comfortable with use I will put on the top. The top has to be on for cleaning so thus far I have only done manual cleaning. I have no problem with that and run the clean cycle a couple of times a day. I started out just using the litter I had on hand. It does not handle the urine well. Before cleaning I do have to use a scoop to loosen sticky mud clumps from the corners, otherwise it just stays there. I've now purchased litter that is supposedly designed for the robo boxes so hopefully that will improve the situation. In reference to the lid, when it is locked into place it is extremely difficult to remove. One must press in latches located on each side. Arthritic hands make that an onerous task. To clean I just position the lid on the box but don't latch it. That does not prevent cleaning. The scale is a feature that I wanted to love but it doesn't come close to being accurate. I have an 11 pound cat and a 16 pound cat. The readings I have gotten ranged anywhere from 13 to 19 pounds. With that I can guess which cat has been in the box. It has been a couple of weeks now and I just emptied the waste box for the first time. Awesome! pull out the old bag, tie it, put in a new bag, and done. Even with a couple of inconveniences I still recommend this to anyone wanting to simplify their lives.

I really tried to like this product and it is not a bad one but I suppose robot litter boxes are not for me. Yes, it does eliminate the amount of scooping each day especially if you have more than one cat, but you will have to deep clean the robot regardless what other people tell you! No matter how expensive litter you buy, whether it seals and clumps well, there is going to be some amount of dirt that sits at the button of the litter box anyway and unless you clean it, wipe it or whatever your method is you will have to do it unless you want your room to smell like urine all the time! This specific litter box has some kind of a fabric at the bottom which absorbs the dirt and starts to smell to a point that I would wash the entire litter box at least once a week! Don’t believe people who tell you that it is life changing and no maintenance required! It is simply not true! It is the same as your own toilet, which I am pretty sure you clean on a regular basis. This specific product is not bad, easy to connect, worked perfectly, the cleaning cycle was great, the safety features are awesome and it looks like a good designed furniture in my office 😊 I liked it overall and I wished I could keep it but the smell! No thank you, unless you have a less sensitive nose.

This is one of the best litter boxes my cats will ever have the privilege of using! It’s set up is ingenious & great for both single or multi cat households. When I see things that could potentially injure my animals, I make sure to thoroughly test them out. I put this one through the rounds. Let me tell you… A quick shoe tossed into it, my hand crossing through, just the weight of 2 fingers on the edge: All of those made the rotation stop, telling me that my cats current & future including to overly curious ones will be safe using this! I have one that is similar and it like it fine as well, but this is becoming my new favorite. I added a video of it running a cleaning mode triggered by me & showing that I only need to wave my hand inside the litter box for it to stop its rotation. There is a several second pause before it begins the rotation again. I am satisfied that any size kitties or children wont be hurt, even if they get close while the box is sweeping out dirty litter. What a fantastic device with the smart features over wifi as well. I never could have dreamed how to put it all into one machine, but my kitties are glad to have these! Sorry, I couldn't get any kitties to appear for a cameo when I was taking pictures and videos of their box. Its probably because I dumped all the litter out. Either way, you get the drift on how it works.

It worked great for a few months, I’ve kept up with cleaning and maintenance yet the sensors started slowly messing up. I would watch and make sure my cat didn’t interfere with the cleaning process and that the drawer wasn’t messing with the sensors, I also ensured they were cleaned yet half the time the sensors would pause cleaning and hold the whole process until I manually unplugged the litter box and reset it. I tried everything, even changing cat litter. It would stay in the upside down position and cause my house to smell due to the drawer being exposed. Find a better, more reliable product. I posted a picture of today’s app results. In between attempts to reset it I unplugged it and even took the top off to check nothing was keeping the mechanism from spinning. Ultimately I’ve exhausted myself trying to figure it out and contacting the service team. Today was my last straw

I really wanted to love this but I ended up giving up, cleaning it fully and discarding it. Pros: - Safe for you and cats, doesn’t close the entrance off, and if it’s bringing to spin and clean it will stop if something pokes inside the entrance - Easy to set up and control - Cats took to it okay Cons: - It’s very large on the outside, which makes it more difficult to find a good place for it - It’s way too small INSIDE, my 9lb cat couldn’t really turn around in it so she would walk inside and spray her urine out of the entrance, getting urine all inside the small spaces in between plastic pieces, and onto the trash bin underneath… my 20lb cat had an even harder time and used it minimally, preferring the regular cat box instead. - Cat little sticks to the walls and gets stuck under the grate, so it makes the space smell WORSE because there’s urine soaked litter open to air all the time. - Cleaning the dirty litter stuck in the crate and on the bottom part was difficult and gross. Wet litter isn’t supposed to get stuck inside the grate, that was for the clean litter to hang out while the dirty litter is dumped in the trash bin… - It was difficult finding a litter that worked well with this product. Pine pellets are my favorite because the urine just turns the pellets into saw dust and it doesn’t stick to anything - much easier to clean, cheap, and biodegradable. This obviously didn’t work well with this box, so I tried walnut litter because it clumps. It stuck to the walls, grate and bottom when the cats peed on it… using clay litter just isn’t an option for me - it’s nasty and it’s not biodegradable. The products manual and info sheet did not specify types of litter, I had to come back to Amazon just to see, and that wasn’t even that helpful. - The trash bin 🤢. Our litter box got stuck in the middle of cleaning itself all the time, and the trash bin would be open to air, which is NASTY because then you have feces and urine soaked litter that’s been sitting for DAYS (because you can wait like a week or two before dumping the bin) smelling up your house. - Cleaning it was the absolute worst part. Never again.
