Background: I have a 15-pound, 7-year-old male cat who treats litter like a competitive sport—no matter the type of box, he somehow manages to scatter it everywhere. Despite his messiness, he’s always adjusted well to new litter boxes and has never had issues with accidents. I was initially worried that the motion and lights from this automatic box might scare him off, but surprisingly, he took to it immediately. In fact, he was intrigued by the lights and movement. Setup & Design: Setting it up was simple, with clear, easy-to-follow instructions. The unit itself is compact enough to fit comfortably in most spaces and has a sleek, modern design that doesn’t scream “cat box.” We placed it in the loft just outside our master bedroom, and as a very light sleeper, I was nervous about the noise level. Thankfully, I’ve never heard it through the wall—it’s impressively quiet. Pros: App Features: The app sends alerts when your cat uses the box, which is great during the transition from a traditional box. It also tracks your cat’s weight and usage time—helpful for monitoring health and weight. Starter Supplies: It comes with multiple rolls of waste bags, unlike some other models that only include one. Portability: It’s lightweight and easy to move for deep cleaning without needing help. Button Lock: A handy feature that prevents my curious dogs from accidentally pressing buttons. Reduced Maintenance: We used to scoop once or twice daily—now we only need to empty the waste about once a week. Litter Mat Included: A thoughtful addition you can never have too many of. Suggested Improvements: Deep Cleaning: The cylinder is a bit tricky to dismantle for thorough cleaning since it only detaches in one section, making it hard to remove all the litter. We added a third cat to our household which caused all sorts of drama! Among the issues were the cats preferring different areas of the house whereas the resident two had been completely fine with using two liter boxes downstairs. I’ve never tried a high end brand, but this one is definitely superior to the generic self cleaning litterbox that retails on here for about $240, which we bought first, because the sifting grate is smaller. I’m not a huge fan of the waste collecting on top in a bag as I feel like a bin would have done the job just fine and it doesn’t hold as much litter as I’d prefer, but it’s great to not have to empty every day and cats seem to like it. I also like that you can schedule how long it waits before cleaning as clumping takes time. The log of cat visits is a nice feature but the weights it records vary widely so it isn’t too useful in discerning between even cats that are a couple pounds apart in weight. Still a decent purchase that will continue to come in handy!

Being without a cat for the past 4 years we evaluated the pros and Cons of getting another. The biggest Con was the Litter box. After doing considerable research, we decided to get a 3 year old cat and a Lelo Elves Self-cleaning Litter Box. We are very happy with both. The Lelo works as advertised very well. The best feature is having no unpleasant odor from the litter box. I have set up weekly reminders on every trash day to empty the litter bag & top up the litter. Every 2nd week I replace the litter and every 4th week I do a complete clean of the barrel & new litter. I especially like the option of adjusting the clumping time and the ionic deodorizer.

I received the product with very basic & minimal instructions printed on the shipping box flaps! I had to download a thrid party app to get connected to the litter robot. It's not the Company that made the Robot. It's basically a smart device hub app that pushes cheap ads. They insist you attach all your smart devices to thier app! On the app they want me to pay $29.99 a month for extreamly cheaply made videos of commercial ads! The font on the app is the smallest font available! I needed help so I tried the Chat. It would only respond "Sorry, I do not understand". There really isn't any need for the app. I'm not comfortable with an overseas seller that doesn't understansd English & won't support the product purchased. The clean-up of the litter doesn't get all the waste so some waste is deposited on top of the"cleaned" litter for your cat to walk on. My cat won't use a dirty box so I'm now scooping the litter left behind in this cheap Robot! It's also much smaller on the inside than anticipated. I compared sizes & most were similar. There is litter everywhere my cat walks after using a litter box so I'm not going back to a box. I'm ready to invest in a good product made in the USA. I now realize you get what you pay for. I love my cat but hate the time I invest in cleaning up after him. I've already purchased a more adaquait litter robot. It has such positive reviews & appears to be more of what I would want. It's made by a well established USA Company that stands behind thier product & even replys to reviews! I've already processed the return. I highly recomend purchasing a much better robot. It'll be worth the extra money.

It masks the smell amazingly. It’s super simple to set up. It does require a certain litter . But overall it’s pretty great. I did learn that if you don’t tuck the trash bag under the lips it does NOT catch the soiled litter.
