This fan is great! I love that it has 6 speeds vs. the usual 3-4. It's great in my bedroom on the low speeds while sleeping-Keeps the air moving without blasting air on you. It is also VERY quiet (especially at low speeds). On higher speeds all you hear is the rush of air. The fan I replaced had a pronounced electrical buzz-Very annoying. The remote it comes with works great and fully controls all functions of the fan and light. As an added bonus this fan is compatible with smart home controllers. I use Alexa and this fan works very well with voice control. It uses Bond technology which costs $100 to add to a "dumb" fan. Alexa can turn the fan on, off, select speed and direction-Great in the middle of the night if you want the to adjust the fan. Alexa also can turn the light on, off and adjust brightness. I've had the fan installed for over a month and it works flawlessly. I'm not the most handy guy, but I installed it myself. Installation was fairly straight forward with no surprises. I also bought the wall switch which offers full control of all functions direct from the wall switch. It's a nice to have, but honestly with the full function remote it isn't really required-a simple on off switch will do if you don't mind using the included remote. If you utilize the built in voice control via Alexa or a compatible smart home assistant, the wall control is even less necessary. I find myself using the voice control over 90% of the time because it works so well. There are cheaper fans for sure, but this one is worth the money and has all the features. Once you have 6 speeds you will wonder why every fan doesn't offer this feature. I recently bought a second one of these for my home office. Definitely recommended!

3 1/2 years and the receiver went out. My electrician has tried to find a replacement with no luck. He tried a universal receiver no luck. I loved the look of the fan BUT… I now have to purchase a new fan. It will Not be a Minka-Aire.

It may have been me, but this has been the most difficult fan install I have ever done. The control box did not want to fit causing a major headache. There are also a lot of wires to connect with connectors. The remote seems reliable but I am not a huge fan of the extra light button for a light that my fan does not have. The reverse direction button is located prominently in the bottom middle of the speed controls which may be hit accidentally. Now on to the good, the noise levels are superb and the airflow is impressive. The smart controls are well thought out. I appreciate that in the app, the fan can choose to remember the last used light and speed setting when turning on and off via the switch, or default to a certain setting if desired. The color of the light is warm and not changeable, which I prefer.

I bought this brand because the house I just moved into already had a Minka Aire fan which works well. I bought this style because I liked the rustic wood look of the blades. The fan I got looks nothing like the photos posted on the product page. The blades are made of thin plastic with blue/green tint. They're really unattractive and looks really cheap. I was planning to return the fan but my contractor's helper installed it by accident. It doesn't look AS bad hung and I probably would've kept it since I paid $$ to have it installed but it doesn't operate like the one I already have. There's a delay of about 3-5 seconds for the fan to start moving, which I've since learned is a common feature of fans with DC motors. It does turn off immediately but I have to wait for the fan to stop completely before it will turn on again. My other Minka fan allows me to turn it on and off without having to wait. The worst part is that I'm unable to use the wall light switch to use the fan light as a light fixture. The wall switch will sometimes turn the light on but most of the time it will not. Not sure if this is also caused by a DC motor. I do not recommend this fan. It's ugly and doesn't work like it should.

The fan was easy to install, it's well built and like my other Minka fan.. super quiet! Don't be fooled, the blades are large so it can move a lot air in a small or medium size room. Possibly the best feature in the integrated smart controls. It works great with Alexa. In fact, we set up a routine on the Alexa in the room where it will automatically turn it on and off based on the measured temperature in the room. We don't use the remote since all controls (speed, brightness) are accessible through smart controls.

I had nice looking ceiling fan in my living room when I moved into this place. However, it made so much noise and tried everything to level it and finally gave up. I ordered this one and it's one of the quietest fans I've ever owned. I'm surprised at just how much air it moves at the lowest setting. I would highly recommend this fan! It is a bit difficult to attach the blades without a second person to assist. Tough to keep the unit from moving while you're holding the blade with one hand while attempting to screw in each bolt with the other hand. That's no fault of the fan, it's really just easier with two people and that goes for about any fan installation.
