We know that the litter box filters out clumping litter and retains it, so we recommend granular clumping litter rather than strips (strips or clumps won't pass through the filter). Why does the litter box make a mess inside after spinning? Due to the type of litter, some cat litters are slow to clump, which can cause a mess if the litter box starts to spin. We recommend setting the cleanup time to 5-15 minutes after the cat comes out (you can set this in the mobile app). Why has my litter box started spinning on its own and won't stop? When powered on initially, the device undergoes a 1 to 3-minute self-test. In addition, the litter box must be placed on a hard and flat ground. Do not place a blanket under it, which will cause the litter box to rotate abnormally.

I have 2 cats, and one is so picky about her litter. Does not like to use the litter box if the other cat has already used it. With stage 3 DDD, scooping the liter multiple times a day is killer on me. This has been a lifesaver! Initially, it was not what I wanted. I was looking to buy the name-brand, $700+ ones, but decided to settle for this one after reading the reviews. I was not disappointed! Instructions were a little hard to follow at first, but I am also very impatient. But the company has a great step-by-step walkthrough video. Connecting to the app was difficult at first, but the video explained that you have to let the litterbox auto cycle fully for the first time. This process took ours roughly 10-20 minutes to complete. Once completed, it connected right to the app with no issues. My picky cat hates my auto vacuum, and so I was worried about her taking to the litterbox. She was actually the first one to use it. For the first day, every time it auto-cleaned, she would step into it. I noticed every time weight was added, it would stop immediately. It is super quiet. The is no litterbox smell. We've had it going for about 2 full weeks now, and by the end of the first day, the old litterbox was removed, and both cats use this one with no issues.     • Not What It Promises....Messy, smelly design
Although this litter box has a lot of bells and whistles, it is quite possibly the worst litter box I have ever owned. The main issue is the fact that the litter box spins around, imbedding the wet litter all over the drum. This is not an issue with the litter I used, it is just the nature of the design. I was constantly cleaning around the drum and the little trap door that sends the used litter into the connected trash bag. Because of this, there is always a smell around it that the fragrance bar could not conquer. Another flaw in the design is the space between the rotating drum and the stand. Litter is constantly collecting there from the cats natural instinct to bury their waste forcing you to remove the drum in order to clean there. If you don't, the drum starts to make a grinding noise rubbing on the litter. I finally gave up and disposed of the box to use the other design that rotates the drum front to back such as the Pet Pivot litter box. This design seems to work much better in that the collection box is underneath the litter box and the waste drops down into it. I regret spending the money on this box when I could have purchased one that has a better design. I did read the negative reviews, but was drawn in with the promise that this box had so many upgrades I would love it. I did not love it. ... show more

The litter box requires some trial and error to figure out how everything works. The instructions could have been more comprehensive and complete. Plus, the app isn't intuitive or easy to figure out. It keeps texting me every time it does something. Other than those issues, it's easier than scooping and cleaning a regular litter box. ... show more

DO NOT BUY. The litter box has great reviews when I bought it. After experiencing a number of difficulties I’ve noticed that the reviews have dropped significantly from when we bought it, indicating a huge decrease in quality and functionality. This litter box has a number of issues and the functionality is terrible. It’s not sturdy and started to have problems only after a month or so. The flap on the inside keeps going inwards causing the litter to fall out of the bag and under the box. This litter box caused even more hassle compared to our normal one we had before. The pee constantly gets stuck on the walls even after making sure our cats haven’t gone in recently before cleaning. Rather than cleaning the actual feces this litter box just takes all the clean litter and dumps it into the bag leaving the actual feces to be cleaned with a scooper. Setting it up is clunky and the app bugs quite often causing the litter box to spin endlessly. I was able to set it up after some tweaking however it should not be this difficult to set something this expensive up. ... show more

    • Not Too Impressed With This :-(
I really wanted to like this but it leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly, it does work but, there's a few glaring issues for me. The first is there are many screws built into this thing and the screws tend to hold onto waste and kitty litter which isn't optimal. The second is, no matter how hard I tried, I would always seem to end up with escaping urine under the barrel or near the rear lip of the barrel. It got to the point that I was cleaning it more often than a regular litter box, so I had to retire this to the garage. It could be user error on my part but I just wanted to share my experience for the next person. ... show more
