Bought this backpack vacuum to use at my church. It is very easy to use and lighter than I was expecting. It has great suction. I like all the tools it comes with too!

    • Commercial Grade. VERY Powerful (brushless). Perhaps not the BEST choice for MOST households.
My overall impression of this backpack vacuum is POSITIVE. That said, I also must admit that it is a POOR CHOICE for MOST people. Yet, for certain COMMERCIAL users it could be exactly what they need. HOWEVER, the BRUSHLESS motor causes this unit to be VERY POWERFUL for its wattage rating due to the extra electrical efficiency. My thoughts: COMMERCIAL USE CASE: The most obvious consideration here is the fact that this is a WIRED unit. Obviously, that means power is endless, but of course, the compromise is that the wire has to be moved around. I found this to be a mild frustration in my own home. A battery-powered unit would be better, but of course that comes with compromises (battery expensive & life, expensive machine, limited power). Further, a backpack unit like this is a little excessive in the home. Therefore, unless you are 5000+ square feet, I just do not see a lot of value here for a HOMEOWNER. While the unit is VERY powerful (and loud), the lack of a roller brush is a definite disadvantage. It just cannot work carpet nearly as well as a traditional (even cheap) vacuum. First. This vacuum is extremely well-made. The fit, finish, build quality, & construction of all the parts included is top-notch. The filter is easy to remove and replace through a straight-forward latching system. It appears to be a dense HEPA-style filter "pocket". Second. Brush accessories are complete and include floor tools & a crevise tool. It fits my 5''8 size frame perfectly fine. Third. The belt and front strap are a VERY comfortable addition. The unit itself is relatively LIGHT and surprisingly easy to move around as long as you mind your back and avoid knocking things off of shelves (have done). Fourth. The brushless motor makes this unit VERY powerful. I think they are up to 40% more efficient. This machine is a step above in that way. Highly RECOMMENDED for COMMERCIAL customers. My overall impression is that this is a high-quality machine that quite possibly could last a decade or more of consistent use. It's also quite user-friendly. Although I don't think it is a correct choice for MOST residential customers, I did notice that it does an incredibly good job of cleaning and could be useful for an especially large home. ... show more

This is a powerful vacuum, the suction is good, it is lightweight and easy to maneuver. It's very quiet! The backpack setup is secure and easy to adjust for different people using it. Good quality buckles. Easy to change the bag, decent size too. I have a hard time not humming the Ghostbuster song when using it... On to the negatives, which this may seem long, but it's just very specific. There is nothing "on board" about this vacuum as advertised though. There should be an additional bag or clips to keep accessories handy. Dealing with a business that has three levels, having to return to the main floor, or trying to tote around all the brushes, attachments, and tubes is not ideal. We have different flooring through out the business, so it's a unique situation, but not uncommon. The metal tube doesn't seem to want to stay connected well until the vacuum is on. There should also be some way of keeping track of the cord when it isn't being used. I also hoped that there would be more adjustability in the metal tube, as it functions differently for one employee that is quite a bit shorter. Overall, this is a solid option for a commercial vacuum. Fantastic cord length makes for not having to stop to unplug constantly. Great variety of attachments. Could be better in a couple areas, but that shouldn't over shadow all the benefits! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love my backpack vacuum!! I didn’t even know these existed until a professional cleaning crew came in to clean and prepare a newly constructed house that we were moving into. I jumped at the opportunity to have this vacuum from Sanitaire. The power and the convenience of the backpack format make this a great vacuum to have, even if you aren’t using it for commercial purposes. I have a fancy canister vacuum that I love, but I don’t always want to drag it out. This is my go-to vacuum for when I go over to help clean my elderly father’s apartment (it is actually way more practical than either a canister or upright), when I need to do a deep cleaning in my art studio/workship (better by far than my shop vac, which is suited for spills or specific circumstances), or even a quick deep cleaning of some rugs I have. It does a better job of cleaning up the kitchen floor and dining areas after a party, and is far more efficient than my rechargeable stick vacuum. It is quite comfortable, even though I’m not a huge guy. And for me, it is easier to maneuver around with than my canister. I even love using it on my stairs. I know this format is more commonly seen in commercial settings, but I think that this format is fantastic for residential settings. So many floors and rugs recommend that you not use a beater bar (pretty much my entire house). So this is an ideal solution. I love it!!
