Truly an outstanding vacuum. Has great power. Was very surprised, and pleased, with the amount of dirt in the canister after only two uses of cleaning about 1700 sq ft. Cord length, width path, and quiet operation made it very easy to use. Have to disagree with those who say it is hard to empty, at least by my experience. Red button on top removes the canister, one push of a button on top of the canister and a ccw twist and the top comes right off. Lots of dirt, but that is what you want. Easy to clean the dust cup filter, which you will want to do often. I just take it outside, make sure I am upwind, and use a 1' disposable paint brush to clean the filter elements. Have to put it together, not hard but did have an issue. Two screws attach the handle to the body into plastic predrilled holes. One went in easy, the other was a challenge since the hole had not been opened. It was filled with solid plastic. Rather than deal with the aggravation and box it back up I just took a portable screwdriver drill and drilled a pilot hole, then the screw went in. I kept my last Hoover for 25 years before it gave up the ghost. We will see how long this one lasts. That is the true test. ... show more

This is a very good vacuum as far as suction and ease of using. On the highest (?) setting it actually moves like a self propelled vacuum! On board tools work as expected. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is it’s EXTREMELY hard to unscrew the top to empty the canister-very hard! If you have nails-forget it. Once you get the top off it’s easy to empty, but then you have to find a place where you can “bang” the filter against to clean it out AND it definitely needs cleaned almost every time-lots of dirt gets trapped in it-guess it’s doing its job, but hard to clean w/o getting dirt all over yourself. I probably won’t purchase this again only bc it’s so hard to empty canister. ... show more

    • Started to Smoke with Normal Household Use, Also Does Not Work Well on Hard Surfaces

Purchased this vacuum for household use of about 1600 square feet, family of 4, 2 medium, short-haired dogs. We have a mix of hardwood and carpet. Dangerous, maybe defective product, beware! Under normal use, this vacuum began smoking, and smelled like it caught on fire internally. It has done this twice after vacuumin a couple rooms. We live in a high fire risk area so can no longer use the vacuum. We tried cleaning it out more throughly to see if that would solve the problem, but it did not. Long cord was nice and suction power on the carpet was good. However, on solid surfaces, this vacuum just shot little crumbs and whatever around the floor instead of sucking them up. I had high hopes for this vacuum and am really disappointed that not only did it become useless in a year, but it is actually dangerous. ... show more

The vacuum gets clogged way too easily and starts spitting debris. It works well but we are super disappointed we just missed the return window. Will be reaching out to customer support to see if they'll be of any use. It's possible we just got a faulty model, but won't know unless an exchange is offered. In general, it's way too much spent on what is touted as a commercial grade vacuum when it only lasts a few months. ... show more

Purchased this for our church and so far we are very pleased with it. It has great suction and the on board accessories are a bonus for a commercial grade vacuum to get in the nooks and crannies. I wouldn't say its very cumbersome or heavy but its not on the lighter side either. I guess its somewhere in the middle. The cleaning ladies at church are very happy with it so its a win win! ... show more
