Initially I like to state my typical clarification and cautionary note that I assign to all Hearing Amplifiers that I review as an Amazon Vine Reviewer and it goes as follows: Practically all of the Hearing Amplifier sellers on Amazon list somewhere in the description that they are selling Hearing Aids and in the very basic sense of the word they do aid in someone's hearing but they are definitely not true hearing aids. To me these should be listed as Hearing Amplifiers only and whatever hearing amplifiers you decide to purchase they are not true hearing aids but what most would consider as PSAP's (personal sound amplification products). These hearing amplifiers are sufficient for helping the elderly or hearing impaired with mild to somewhere below moderate hearing loss. True hearing aids amplify only certain frequencies based on your hearing profile or what's normally called an Audiogram where over the years you begin lacking the ability to hear certain sounds due to one reason or another, but PSAPs amplify all sounds equally so if you use these aids to assist you with your hearing loss just be sure to start your volume level at the lowest level possible that offers a benefit to your hearing because if you crank them up too loud it may sound good at first but you may, over time, lose what good hearing you have left... This review is for a pair of Saban's Hearing Amplifiers, as I mentioned in my review title these don't come with any vast amount of high tech features or as what I sometimes call the bells and whistles that some other amplifiers may possess but the one feature that means the most to me with these amplifiers is that their sound reproduction is very good, better than many other amplifiers currently being sold on Amazon. The current retail price point without any discounts could be considered a little pricey for these amplifiers but when they do offer a discount you won't regret picking these up and giving them a try. One thing I appreciate about Amazon is their liberal return policy if you're not completely satisfied with the product you purchased and they've fulfilled. I've included a picture of their box, that carried these amplifiers and accessories, and it was padded so well you won't have any worries about them being damaged while in route to your home and once you unpackage your amplifiers you will find a large, protective charging case that initially I plugged in overnight to be sure that the charging case as well as the enclosed amplifiers were fully charged before I began using them. I like that once fully charged with all three blue LED lights on the charging case lit up on the front of their case then it can recharge your amplifiers in approx. 2 to 3 hours and it's capable of multiple charges before having to recharge the case. Another plus is that once the amplifiers are fully charged they will be ready to use for up to 20 hours at a time. Personally I never leave my hearing devices in my ears for that long. I extract them from the charging case when I rise in the mornings and place them back into the charging case that evening as I'm preparing for hopefully a restful night of sleep. These amplifiers are very simple to use, they only have one rocker switch which controls the volume (to increase or decrease the sound) and holding down the top of the rocker switch for 3 seconds will power them on. I would suggest that you place them in and on your ears before you proceed to turn them on. These amplifiers are very discreet when wearing due to their small size and skin tone color. The manufacturer has provided an assortment of ear domes (what they refer to as ear plugs), a cleaning brush and a USB Type C charging cable but no charging adapter for your A/C outlet but most individuals that have a cell phone would have a charging adapter around their home and if not then do like I did and plug it into your Desktop or Laptop PC while it's powered on. I really liked the sound that these Saban Amplifiers can generate but I do have a wish list for these amplifiers based on their current retail price point, one being that the current technology would allow these to not only turn off as they do when placed back into the charging case but would also turn on without having to use the volume switch to manually turn them on and another being, since they have 5 volume settings, although I appreciate that once you set the preferred volume level that it memorizes and holds that setting on these but I would like to hear an increasing number of beeps for each increase in the 5 levels of sound and at the current price I would have appreciated seeing a power adapter included in this kit. None of these are deal breakers for me since I've been using hearing aids for the past 15 years or so but I think some of these items would benefit the new users needing to get back to the world of the hearing. It means a lot to use a device like these and finally be able to carry on a conversation or listen to TV and not have to ask "what did they just say" which I was famous for back in my late 50's. So if you're on a budget and can't afford a pair of true hearing aids which can range upwards from slightly over a thousand dollars thanks to the newly enacted laws pertaining to OTC (Over The Counter) hearing devices and as much as four to six thousand dollars on the high end then these amplifiers and others like these will get you back into the world of hearing but as I said earlier just be very careful about cranking them up too high or you're likely to damage the good portion of hearing that you possessed before using the amplifiers. I got this hearing aid for my dad, and the device is really small and nearly invisible, making it easy to use throughout the day. My father was born in 1955, his hearing isn't exactly the greatest and he has tinnitus to boot. So I ordered this for him in hopes that he be able to hear the world without struggling. So firstly he tells me that they are comfortable and he doesn't physically notice them during his activities, and they are invisible, I couldn't even tell he had them in. Apparently the only issue he has with them is that they are too sensitive. When he has these in he can hear stuff happening in his body, like when he's swallowing, chewing or even shuffling things in his pockets. He said he was unlocking a door, and as he slid the key into the hole he could hear the tumblers jingling and shifting as he unlocked and opened it. I told him he probably had them set to high, but it is apparently the only level that lets him hear anything over the tinnitus. So unfortunately tinnitus sufferers may not get the relief they're hoping for. Luckily Not everyone with hearing loss has tinnitus, and I believe these people will absolutely get the clarity they are looking for with this item. ... show more

Yes, these are more pricey then the others but the sound reproduction from this is amazing. Works perfect. LOVE to be able to charge and use. The days of changing batteries are gone!! Somebody with moderate hearing damage or hearing loss at an older age would benefit from these. They are very light and comfortable easy to recharge and store. They also have noise canceling feature which works well. There is the obvious background noise still light all the other hearing aids out there. But overall at the price point these are comparable with some of the more expensive ones and are very beneficial with some getting used to. ... show more
