The trays are durable, and smooth, providing a nice presentation for your charcuterie and finger foods. The stands weren’t as sturdy as I expected them to be, but it still cascaded nicely when set up. I did find that you should only wipe clean with a damp cloth, rather than submerging in water to clean.

I ordered the Collapsible 3 Tier Serving Tray and Platters, Wooden Three Tiered Appetizer Serving Tray, Party Trays to use when entertaining. This past holiday season we got some charcuterie boards in a similar bamboo design, and I thought these trays would be useful when setting up a buffet table or a dessert table. This is a well-made, attractive set of trays. They can be used together or separately, on the metal stands or without them. The metal stands have a sort of “wrought iron” look to them and nicely complement the pale blonde wood color of the bamboo trays. Each tray has a raised edge that makes a sort of channel to catch crumbs or liquids and keep them from leaking off the tray. The trays are nicely shaped and sturdy. I was surprised by the weight of the package when it arrived, I expected bamboo to be lighter. The trays have the heft of a wooden tray. You can use them for charcuterie, for baked goods, for fruit, for a cheese plate, for hot or cold hors d’oeuvres… pretty much anything you can imagine. The trays clean up easily, too. There was no information regarding cleaning, so I’ve been handwashing, given my experience with other bamboo kitchen equipment. It’s not recommended to submerge bamboo, but a damp cloth has been working fine most of the time. If necessary, I hand wash under a thin stream from the sink and dry quickly. I haven’t used these trays for any food that would require them to be put through a hit dishwasher for food safety. I’m dubious as to whether these could survive the dishwasher, both the bamboo trays and the metal stands. I love how versatile these are. They can be used in countless arrangements, with or without their stands. The pale blonde bamboo color is attractive and neutral, letting the food be the star of the show. The design is sleek and can work with many different design aesthetics. I had only one complaint about this set of trays. The measurements given on the sales page, 15"L x 5"W x 6"H, we’re not the measurements of the set of trays I received. The trays I received were slightly over 17” long. They were 8” wide. It was difficult to measure a height for the trays, as they were curved and angled under the flat surface, but they were at least 1 1/4” thick, and maybe more. The three stands measured 3”, 6”, and 9” tall. So this was definitely larger than I expected. For some people, this could be a good thing. The extra size allows you to serve more food, and makes for a larger display. Unfortunately, I live in a very small house in NYC that is older than the Brooklyn Bridge. It is full of wonderful period charm. But it doesn’t have a lot of extra space in any of the rooms. We use a dining table my parents had in their dining room when I was young… with one of the flaps down so it fits in our much tinier dining room. This looks great on my dining table. It also takes up much more space than I was prepared for. Deep diving the sales page, I did discover that photo 6/6 had a second set of measurements that was somewhat closer to what I received. But that first set of sizes, which is in bold at the top of the sales page, was definitely off. Other than that, this is a great little set for entertaining. I may use it in pieces, or on a side table, but I love how it looks and how it showcases the food. Set of three bamboo trays come with metal stands, can be used as nesting trays or separately. These are larger than the product dimensions given on the sales page. Neutral bamboo color lets your food be the star of the meal, set breaks down easily to store.

Liked almost everything about this versatile and well designed attractive tray. Design: Not fussy, solid bamboo (no veneers - look at the ends) lends warmth. No screws, staples or nails to detract from the simple, appealing looks. Heavy matte black metal frame adds a bit of dignity to the package. Worlds better than the local big box run-of-the-mill set. It is evident that plenty of design thought went into this to give it a minimalist attractiveness. Easily cleaned in sink. I wouldn't subject any this to the dishwasher. Very solid thick machined bamboo: around .8 inches thick (trays are nice and heavy, no flimsy plastic or fragile china here!). Contoured edge on trays to help keep items on the tray, not on your table. Trays lift simply off the frame for serving on their own. Weight and contours of trays are enough to keep them well seated in their respective frames, even without implements or food on top of them to weigh them down. Trays contours look very nice from the side when you use them flat on the table without the elevation stands. Gives you more options when entertaining. Well manufactured. Even the tray bottoms. Mine have no splinters or mars. No evidence of any manufacturing defects or handling problems. Wish everything arrived in this good a condition. Stands make for a very stable platform for table serving. Staggered (tiered) elevations let you get fancy with table arrangements if you're serving smaller (non-towering) items to your guests. And lastly - usually the spoiler in my experience - this group packs up and stores as compactly as you can imagine. Every thing folds to the flat. Probably not going to clutter your house or life. BE SURE TO SAVE YOUR CARDBOARD BOX FOR EASY STORAGE! Perfect to fit into your storage area for entertainment supplies. Stores so easily, you will save valuable kitchen storage space if you keep things like this boxed up when not in use. STRONG Recommendation. Everyone in the family loves this. Even those who avoid the kitchen and party planning.
