This is a really high-quality bench. It’s sturdy and also moves around pretty well when you need to store it. REP doesn’t make a lot of attachments yet, but you can use some from Bolt (Venom) and maybe a few other companies. The adjustments are great, the material on the pad is fantastic, the bench never feels like it’ll move when you’re lifting. The wide foot can be used for calf raises (using the inclined bench to steady yourself). The decline also works well for press, if you hook the edge of the pad behind your knees. I’ve heard the REP stabilizer, the leg roller, isn’t super steady). Note that if you want to do a decline dumbbell press, you’ll want some crash pads on either side: Getting the weight up to start isn’t terrible, but putting it back down on the decline (especially without the leg bar) is near impossible. If you can set them down on taller crash pads, you’re golden. The incline settings on the back are really solid. The incline settings on the seat are solid, though it could use more angle when the back incline is higher. The wheels are just what it needs, and the bench feels solid when stowed vertically. When it’s set vertical, the bench does move just a bit, so be careful if it’s up against something dragons (within a few inches). Putting it together takes 20 minutes, because there are four parts. The instructions are totally fine. Tools come with it. A few notes: (1) The long back of the incline portion is tall. I’m 6’1” and can’t do a seated triceps extension without the back getting in the way, because the inclined bench is so tall. An Abmat bench wedge solves that problem. (2) You *can* do preacher curls (one arm at a time) on the inclined back, but the firm, grippy pad isn’t great on the elbows. The Bolt Venom preacher curl attachment (search the Garage Gym review and drill the extra hole) is a great addition. (3) There’s a 1.5” gap between the seat and back. It can be a little annoying, but the back is so long that you can avoid the gap by starting to sit on the gap and then lying down. Then you’ll recline off the gap. I stayed away from the zero-gap Blackwing due to its weight. You’ll want to fold up the Nighthawk because it’s so easy to move. (4) REP has very few attachments. The leg developer is taking forever to release, and it looks very bulky. On the other hand, some attachments from other companies will work with this bench, and there are likely to be more coming soon. Overall, this is an excellent bench. I did a for amount of research and comparison before choosing this bench with the intention of it being “the last bench we will ever need”. The quality is outstanding down to every last detail, if you want a premium look and feel this has it. Rock solid and sturdy at every angle and good angle options (my main bench pressing angle of choice being 15 degree low incline). One of the main features that led me to this bench was the compact footprint and vertical storage; truly a game changer for our small home gym space and no sacrifice in terms of sturdiness and stability. The pad is very solid and grippy and this newer vinyl material is easier to clean. The width of the back pad is sufficient for those of us with broader shoulders and upper backs I wouldn’t want anything narrower and it’s better than a lot of commercial gym benches with 10-11” pads. No fat pad option for this bench vs the other higher end rep benches. Like the Blackwing it does have the port for attachments and we may consider the leg developer attachment at some point. For those noting the 700 lb rating for this vs 1000 lb rest easy as that refers to the inclined positioning- the flat position will hold much more and furthermore no one is incline pressing that much lol. A lot of flimsier/cheaper benches than this will list even higher capacity claims and they’re nowhere near as robustly built, this is more of a true functional rating and this a gym quality bench fit for a serious lifters home gym. For the comparative price point (and good benches worth investing in long term aren’t inexpensive these days) you can’t go wrong with Rep’s line of benches and they’re just some of the best on the market period ... show more

Very high quality product. It was very easy to assemble (able to do it by myself). The all metal construction definitely gives me reassurance this will last the test of time. The wheels work well too so it is easy to move it around if you need to. The seat is sturdy as hell, not the most comfortable - granted I have not had a chance to break this bench in so maybe over time it will soften up a bit. The size is great and I say this because it folds up nicely so you can store it easily. Overall I highly recommend this bench. Dont see myself getting another bench anytime soon. ... show more

Easy to assemble, easy to move. High quality materials and a pad design and fabric second to none. I’m 210 and regularly use 100 pound dumbbells for incline presses and not a shake or shimmy anywhere. Very stable. Glad I didn’t go for my lungs with the Rogue Manta. I’m very happy with this bench. The build quality is excellent, it is sturdy, and the size is plenty big for me - I’m 6‘2“ tall and I have a couple inches to spare above my head when I’m sitting in it. It’s also very easy to move around, and easy to stand on end for storage. I didn’t understand how it stood up cause I it wasn’t clear to me in the photos, but I kept reading “folding design” which I couldn’t figure out, but it just stands up. You just lift it up from the handle at the foot and stand it up. It’s fantastic since I have a small gym area. i’m also happy that the attachment point for the optional accessories is at the head, not at the foot like Rufus told me. With the attachment at the head it is much better because it means I can still do decline presses and better options as well as for sit-ups, etc. even though this bench does not have a decline position for the back. in fact, I almost canceled my order and ordered a higher level model REP bench that has a decline position and shows the optional attachment point at the head, but I kept this one because it’s smaller and fits my space better and the attachment is where it should be at the head giving me decline options etc. so I am very happy! ... show more
