I got the assorted colors pack of six notebooks and received the correct colors and brand. I've been using them in college to take notes in (I know, I'm old school for not using a laptop or ipad.. but I just remember things better when I actually write them down) and they're pretty sturdy. Even though they're called one subject, I used some of them for two semesters. I'm a long-term user of 5-star notebooks. They are by far my favorite to write in. The durability, pocketed folders, & fun colors make taking notes way more enjoyable for me. After I already make the purchase for these notebooks, I read that a large number of customers were given wrong colors or even received completely different brands... First impression: The blue and teal covers look nice and vibrant. Covers are not made of paper, so they don't bend easily and are not as flimsy. I tried puting in an 8.5x11 white paper into the pockets, and part of the paper was still hanging out of the book, so it's best fit for 8x10.5 folder paper. When I received these 3 books, they were not wrapped together like the other pack that I bought. It was such a huge disappointment when I seen that one of the corner of the green book was dirty when I took it out of the box. It was like mud or something and I had to wipe it off, however, you can still see the stain it left in the corner of each page, which really bothers me. We have been buying 5 star now for a few years, since the kids started high school. These are the notebooks to have. The paper is a little thicker than most notebooks which is nice because you don't have that impression mark of what you wrote on the next page. The pages are perforated so you get that nice clean edge instead of that ratted up edge. It has an organizer folder in the notebook itself which is good for getting school handouts or getting back graded homework. The Front and back cover of the notebook are like a plastic so they wipe up easily. There is only 1 little gripe that I have and it's about the price.. Normally they're $5 a piece, I have 3 Teenagers that have 6 classes each. It adds up fast so I wish these would go on more bundle deals prices. ... show more

As a highschooler, I used these notebooks throughout my four years and absolutely loved them. The colors were appealing, the cover was strong, and the paper is high quality. 100% would recommend for anyone who plans to do a lot of writing. I even had to use one in the rain a few times, and although the paper was soaked, there was no tearing or ripping except along the perforation and I was able to use that notebook plenty of times after it had dried.
