I got the assorted colors pack of six notebooks and received the correct colors and brand. I've been using them in college to take notes in (I know, I'm old school for not using a laptop or ipad.. but I just remember things better when I actually write them down) and they're pretty sturdy. Even though they're called one subject, I used some of them for two semesters. I'm a long-term user of 5-star notebooks. They are by far my favorite to write in. The durability, pocketed folders, & fun colors make taking notes way more enjoyable for me. After I already make the purchase for these notebooks, I read that a large number of customers were given wrong colors or even received completely different brands... These are good notebooks for high school! I received the correct colors I ordered. Very durable and thick, I have never had a page fallout that I did not purposefully rip out. We have been buying 5 star now for a few years, since the kids started high school. These are the notebooks to have. The paper is a little thicker than most notebooks which is nice because you don't have that impression mark of what you wrote on the next page. The pages are perforated so you get that nice clean edge instead of that ratted up edge. It has an organizer folder in the notebook itself which is good for getting school handouts or getting back graded homework. The Front and back cover of the notebook are like a plastic so they wipe up easily. There is only 1 little gripe that I have and it's about the price.. Normally they're $5 a piece, I have 3 Teenagers that have 6 classes each. It adds up fast so I wish these would go on more bundle deals prices. ... show more

Perforated better than some other brands so you can pull out pages without tearing the paper. Please take note that there's a new style of Five Star notebook that says "Study guide" included. These types look virtually the same as the classic ones I am reviewing. However, pages have a triangle next to each line that apparently has some electronic way to then load the page online. That might be cool but at this time my student only wants to write notes on a notebook piece of paper that doesn't have triangles to make it look busy and not then load those notes online. She of course can still take a photo of her notes and send them electronically without triangles. ... show more
