I have been hearing impaired about 10 years, and have purchased and tried many in ear and behind the ear hearing amplifiers, and finally those now sold as true hearing aids. Of all those, I have seen steady improvement, but this one beats everything I have tried. Not only do they have 4 mode adjustments from normal conversation to heavy background noise and 4 different volume levels, but the background noise cancellation actually works. In my vehicle with my grandchildren or wife, the previous road and vehicle noise is practically non-existent, and I can still hear the conversations normally. 1000% improvement over what I have used before. No comment yet on longevity, but they come with a 2 year warranty, and it has been a pure pleasure dealing with this vendor via Amazon. I highly recommend you give these a try. You will be pleasantly surprised. And, oh, I failed to mention the price is very competitive and reasonable, and not like those from hearing aid professional at $5,000 per pair. I have a relative that has the $5k versions, and he says they do little to block the peripheral noises.
