These are nothing but amplifiers. They work, but the button that controls settings is hard to work with and the different settings don't appear to make any difference in sound quality. And they hurt my ears with the smallest cone on them. But they do help me hear more. Would I recommend them, no. Would I buy them again knowing what I do now? No. I got them on a black friday deal. That is the only reason I am keeping them. They aren't worth anything more then $40 which is about what I spent. Anything more is robbery.

Have had for over a week and no matter what I do (including various tip sizes) can't get these things to stop screeching in my ears. Units are fully charged according to the green lights on the charger. Thank god the cost was so low that this is not a major financial problem.
