I have several of these lap pads as well as a few of the larger size because they are the bomb. I purchased one for my sister and my friend and they are now addicted as I and use theirs every day too. Not just for my TV chair, but in bed to both warm up the sheets and help calm me to sleep. I also travel with a lap pad because once you have one, you can't be without (take out of your luggage like you do your computer to save time as it gets pulled). Heats up within seconds and the hot setting is quite hot making it nicely penetrate through layers of clothing. Can't recommend enough. If that isn't enough....Some reviewers talked about them not working after a bit. I had two that were 2 years old and stopped working. I noticed on their website that they offer a 5 year warranty, or 7 years if you take the minute to register your product. I thought what the heck (shot in the dark), I will email them and attach my Amazon invoices for those 2 lap pads and see what happens. I sent that email at 5:23pm and they responded 4 minutes later at 5:27pm and are sending me replacements. You can't beat that customer service!! ... show more

    • Long Story Short —- Best Heating Pad Ever

I bought this heating pad because after I had Covid in 2020, my period cramps had become mind numbingly painful. I used a friend’s heating pad and while I was at her house, I purchased this one from Amazon in March 2021. When it arrived, it did it’s job and eventually my cramps would become less painful, but still ever present. At the absolute same time I was dealing with breathing problems from the 2020 Covid infection. I went to the doctor for over a year and they could not find what it was. After way too many doctor trips, in February 2022 my pulmonologist realized I had what is referred to as “slipped rib syndrome”; it’s rare and very hard to diagnose. It gets mistaken for other things and at one point my doctor thought I was making the pain up. Essentially, I coughed so hard I broke a rib. Luckily, it has no long term health consequences associated and it can heal on its own. My doctor told me heat therapy and a brace are effective at addressing the issue, and I was happy to have this weighted heating pad. I’ve used my heating pad every day since February 2022 for hours on end to relieve the pain. It’s been 5 months straight and I am finally having less painful periods. I can feel the rib moving, which is a very weird sensation. Once you know what that “feeling” is, you can’t mistake it! I really have a fear of burning my house down with one of these, so the automatic timer comes in very handy. I think it shuts off after about an hour. The weight isn’t too heavy, but definitely not something you could travel with. The pressure is also a great pain relieving component. I also like that the heat can be lowered or raised! I thought it would’ve given up because by now bay-bee! I have really gotten my moneys worth out of it and then some. Matter of fact, I’m laying on it right now! I use this heating pad literally every night. The level of weight is perfect and it can fit across almost my entire back if I want it to. It took a little bit to get used to the 1-hour auto timer after my old one was 3 hours, but overall I really like this one!

This heating pad is an unsung hero. Stays where you put it without having to hold it, and the weight provides a little extra comfort when you’re in pain. It’s very soft, provides three heat settings, has an automatic shut off in case you want to fall asleep comfortably with it turned on, AND very reasonably priced against other comparable products. After a long day working outside, this weighted heating pad makes all the difference in the world to my achy muscles. I liked mine so much that I purchased one for other family members and recommended it to other family and friends. They really liked it, so they recommended it to their friends. I previously had a microwavable weighted heating pad, but I couldn't find another really large one. Then I saw this particular weighted heating pad and decided to give it a try. The cord is long enough that I'm able to plug it into the outlet by my nightstand and still have room to move around in bed. It has 3 heat settings which is nice when I don't need the highest setting. It's a heavier weight than my previous heating pad which I actually like. There are a couple of improvements I'd love to see in an updated version. 1) A way to turn off the auto-off feature. There are times that I want/need the heat for a longer period of time. Obviously not a deal-breaker, but it would be a nice feature. 2) I would LOVE to have a removable cover for easier cleaning. I'm not sure how that would work given the power button is built right into the unit vs on the power cord. It would just be a nice option. I really like the fact that if the cord comes unplugged, you don't need to unplug it from the wall outlet before reusing it. (With regular electric heating pads, you get an error message when the cord unplugs from the unit, and you have to unplug from the outlet to reset this feature.) Overall, this is a really nice electric weighted heating pad. I love the large version as it covers my entire back OR if I shift is sideways, my lower back and abdomen.
