Ah, so excited to give this review! Been wanting to get my cat, Mowwy Jane, an automatic litter box since she became an inside cat last year. To be frank, this cat could peel paint with what she deposits. It was a constant chore just to keep my space not smelling like I own five indoor cats instead of just one!! Automatic litter boxes are expensive, though, so I spent the past year saving money and doing research. Especially research. One style of litter box killed a cat and I did not want that to happen to my sweet girl. I learned the best idea was to have a litter box that did not cover the front of the box when it cycled (that’s what killed that one cat), and one that didn’t drop the droppings in a tray at the bottom (messes with the wiring). I had few options with that criteria, believe it or not. Either the Litter Robot, an open top litter box, or this one. This one went on sale so I made the purchase. The litter box came completely assembled. Even has a bag pre-loaded so you can see how to do it yourself. I just plugged it in, connected it to my phone and wallah! Now, my cat prefers my bedroom. I had to completely rearrange my room to fit this thing in it. It’s huge! But it has to be to give the cat enough room to turn and scratch around. Don’t want to give Mowwy Jane a life of using the equivalent of convenient store bathrooms!! I know some people think you plug it in, fill it up, and your cat will go, “Oh wow! Let’s use that!!” That is not how this works at all. Completely has to re-litter train her. Treats, cuddles, playtime, catnip, entrapment… She didn’t understand why I wanted her in this doom hole! Finally, I scratched at the litter myself with her in it and she was like, “…Oh…” Took all weekend, but she finally used it!! Hurray!!! I turned off auto clean for now until she’s more comfortable, but I feel like a proud momma of a kiddo that just went potty in the right place for the first time!! So yes, keep in mind the training time. The box works great, isn’t too loud, I swear the deodorization made my room smell better than it did before her usage, and the phone compatibility works great! And safety wise, it moves really slow, and goes around the hole, not in front of it, so no kitty injuries are expected. ♥️

This is not at all a good design nor does it function as it should. The bag has nothing securing it so if anything happens to miss or fall out the whole bag moves (you have no clue) and when you open the lid to empy everything just falls all over the place. Rotating and keeping the waste at the top is a poor design as well. This would be better kept at the bottom that way if anything missed a bag, it would remain in some sort of tray. Another problem is cleaning, this is seriously difficult to clean. you can't take to cylinder apart and there's no drain so everything just piles up in the cracks until you lay it down and you get to play the game of figuring out how to clean it while sticking your hole arm inside. It doesn't mask any smells, it's not any more sanitary, it's for sure much more of a hassle and I wish I would have returned it immediatly vs giving it a try.

The media could not be loaded. First when I placed the order I was being a bit skeptical - this looks to be a new product, and I have never used an auto litter box that has the waste bin on top. I’ve had Leo’s Loo first gen and Litter Robot 3 (wifi edition). They are bulky. They do the job but with both the waste bin and motherboards at the bottom, loose litter and other debris and gunk often find their way into the base. And since that’s where the electronic parts are, I could not clean and sanitize the base properly. This design resolves such issue and makes the machine more compact without compromising the internal space. (Make sure you secure and tighten the waste bag correctly.) It works perfectly for most house cats except some large breeds. The app lets you adjust the degree tilted for leveling the litter, the gaps between cleaning, and many other settings, which is very helpful since one of my cats has loose stool (he goes to the vet and has been improving). Also, with horrible stories of some auto litter boxes have killed cats, I started to pay more attention to the safety features. In the video my goblin cat literally walked in during cleaning (lol), the infrared sensor sensed him and the machine stopped right away. There’s no risk of cat getting pinched in this machine because it doesn’t have a gate or a bonnet (declaration: based on my understanding, having a gate or bonnet doesn’t necessarily mean a machine is dangerous, faulty sensors/glitchy programming are the direct cause to the tragedies). This thing is also very quiet. My scaredy elder kitty is still trying to adjust to it, but he is definitely not as scared by the noise comparing to the other two machines I’ve had. Overall I think it’s a great purchase. Very nifty machine. Has a lot of features. And you can’t beat the price.
