Although I did not use it for the pool. My outdoor patio covers always sag and collect ice / water then tear. So this year, I got a pool pillow to keep water from pooling. It works great and was a good value. Don’t know why I did not think of this sooner. It is far less than replacing expensive covers every few years. It was easy to inflate (with an air compressor). This pool pillow is made from a thick, very durable material. It was easy to inflate. The only thing that I do not like about it is that it has single seams instead of double seams. However, they do appear to be well sewn together and durable.

So this pillow has helped keep the extra water that accumulates on the pool cover off which also keeps the mosquitoes we get from hanging out in the standing water. It’s seems well made and durable, the material is pretty thick. Only time will tell if this holds up. It is being deflated and stored away soon so hopefully it will do just as well for next season! ... show more

I ordered these two pool pillows for my 15 x 4 foot above ground pool that I should have unassembled but decided to leave it up through the winter months. I had inflated a large oval pool pillow and centered it under the pool cover. When it rained the cover accumulated water that sunk the pool cover two areas around the middle placed oval pillow. I easily inflated these two pillows with my electric inflator and installed these two pillows and although rain water still accumulates on the cover it is not enough to sink the cover. I don't need to pump water off the pool cover any longer. So far these two pool pillows are staying fully inflated even when temperatures drop to below freezing which in my area has been 14 degrees. I found this to be a very good value for the price. It’s definitely 4 mm thick and has well sealed seams. You will need the same kind of pump you use to pump an air mattress. I currently don’t have one like that but I can use my air compressor with an adapter, although I’ll need to be really careful not to pop it. If you have a pool in a climate where it drops below freezing, you definitely want one of these. Comes with the tie cords to center it which is great. Hopefully I can use this over a few seasons.
