So we bought the anchor size intended for a 20' boat it seemed like it was very small and light weight but we tried it out and it worked great even in water that was a bit rough causing the boat to Bob up and down. The anchor held!

Good anchor, but lost it at the lake, anchor came off the chain even though clip was still on the chain. Ring on anchor must have come apart? I ordered another one, so far so good

This is a really nice fluke anchor for the price. I have this on a 12' chain and 100' of rope for a 19' boat, for which it is technically oversized, but works great. I also have the one size down of the same model on 6' of chain with 60' of rope which also worked well, but I wanted a second anchor so I can tie off two if necessary. Since I already have the other one, I went one size bigger just for some added assurance in sandy bottoms. In most other cases I would have used a different type of anchor for secondary, but since I am almost always anchoring in sandy or silty bottoms, I went with this style. I like how easy to release it is if it gets dug right in. If you just run up on it, the ring slides to the head of the fluke and it pulls right out. Great anchor. ... show more

We purchased this based on other reviews for a pontoon boat. This does NOT hold our pontoon in a lake, in muddy conditions. I would purchase a heavier weighted anchor in order to hold steady. We had this anchor down and we drifted in the lake quite a bit. We also tried it several times in many different locations throughout the lake. Go heavier. ... show more
