To shade my front porch from the late afternoon sun. It was not a totally simple thing to install. Some of the instructions were not clear or were missing. I wish I had gotten one that did not have the “open” lines. The sun shines through and it is hard to sit facing the screen. Also, I would not leave it down during a windy day or storm. If not anchored it flaps in the wind and knocks over items on the porch table. Overall, better than nothing. Might purchase again but would get one with more dense weave. ... show more

This is my second purchase, first was for a 8ft panel. These bookend my patio to manage morning and afternoon sun. They do a good job of shading the sun without complete blackout and have perforations to manage wind pressure (highest wind speed to date @40mph). They come with anchor ends to the bottom that make ties downs easy. Takes a couple of weeks for the material to relax so some kinking when rolled up until it does. I think if you can buy this for under $15 it is an OK blind. My opinion may be a little skewed though. I am used to exterior blinds that have a rod. For me, it was difficult to install. Took a lot more time then the more slightly more expensive exterior blinds that have rods to retract them. This is my first exterior blind of this style also, I am not used to have long strings and having to tie cords up on a cleat in order to get them to stay up. Not the blinds fault, but as a purchaser, do think about that before you buy this blind, do you ant to deal with a very long cord that you have to tie off and get tangled up? I would not buy this style blind again. I think for $15 and if I was never going to be adjusting it on a weekly basis it is ok, but for $63…..save another $20 and get one with a rod that raises and lowers it. Instructions were hard to follow (for me anyways), I can’t speak for the quality since it has only been installed for 30 days, so I am not sure how long it will last. ... show more

I love these! I purchased 2. Needed help to install. X2 people needed for 7x6. Durability and light weight. I especially loved the eyelet on bottom rod that allows the bungee to be fastened down on those windy days.
