To shade my front porch from the late afternoon sun. It was not a totally simple thing to install. Some of the instructions were not clear or were missing. I wish I had gotten one that did not have the “open” lines. The sun shines through and it is hard to sit facing the screen. Also, I would not leave it down during a windy day or storm. If not anchored it flaps in the wind and knocks over items on the porch table. Overall, better than nothing. Might purchase again but would get one with more dense weave. ... show more

first 2 did so well I ordered 3 more to make our screened in porch nicer when the sun is setting. After you get the hang of installation on the first they go up quickly. Only issue is the way the cord is routed through the screen gives you a very long cord to wrap around the (supplied) cord storage cleat when they are up. Not a biggie but... Addendum: have 4 four foot wide screens and one 6 footer. They match perfectly other than the cord for the 6 footer is a lighter brown. Again no biggie but, why? ... show more

First photo is the shade installed. It works for us. Second photo is partially rolled down. Third photo is those problem brackets sliding up, locks washer might help. Fourth photo is a must. You need to the screw through a large washer or the bracket pops off. One more thing, if you're installing this on any type of metal, you'll need to buy metal screws.
