The delivery was unusually fast. Ordered the device on Sunday afternoon and it was delivered Tuesday morning. This was normal order with a standard delivery. The device came with all items and i was able to use in in less than two minutes. In my opinion this devise is as good as Starky’ Xeno, the device i have been using until now. I had to get an authorization letter from an ENT to obtain a new device and i did not want to wait a month for an my appointment with an ENT. So i ordered this and i can not tell how surprised i was. I did not notice any significant functional difference between this unit and the device i was using previously!. I am pleasantly surpriseed with its quality and performance. My Starky Xeno had to be replaced as it was damaged due to an accidental water exposure. I had moved to California about a year ago so i could not go to the place where i had originally bought the Starky. This unit is $2500 cheaper. It is essentially comparable to what i was using. I actually like this device more because it has 10 levels of volume adjustment of 5 dcb each as opposed to only three in my Starky. This offers a greater flexibility and control. I would strongly recommend that everybody on a tight budget should try this device before going to very expensive brand name hearing aids that are available on the market. If you are not satisfied fully you are entitled to return it in 30 days for a full refund . This is a federal law. The company gives a generous 45 day return policy.

10 years ago I was told my hearing in my left ear was terrible and couldn't be repaired and although my right ear was better it was still bad. After two more hearing specialists tested me the consensus was I needed a programmable hearing aid for my right ear and a mic and transmitter for my left side to transmit to my right side. Total cost about $5000. Last test was a couple of years ago. I finally decided to try this $150 Apex in my right ear because it had a money back guarantee. I couldn't believe it. I was so happy I decided to try the $400 Encore in my left ear. The headline says it all. $550 and I hear so good it's unreal. And I often work in very noisy environments. One click on each unit and background noise is gone. This review was copied from the Apex. I am thrilled.

Second one I've ordered and return both did not work period. Followed instructions and watched all the video's very poor product. I guess when they say you get what you pay for its the truth.

We tried several of the rechargeable type aids and they were ok. This one comes the closest to the quality offered by high dollar brands like miracle ear. Batteries life is excellent, quality of sound is excellent and very easy to customize.

User: 91 year old woman profoundly deaf in left ear; marginally better in right ear. Product: left ear otofonix hearing amplifier. Usage time: four hours. Immediate improvement. We took advantage of program/volume settings. This required about 30 minutes of testing. In the end, we were able to get to my asking " What is three plus two?" as I was standing behind a corner wall. My friend's response was eleven (the punk.) A couple of things to note: 1.) subs on tv are still required, but not a necessity --- it's just easier for her comprehension. 2.) She does better using her right ear on phone calls. I don't know why this is, but I'm working on it. In the end this is a heck of a product, almost immediate gratification. I had a good sense about how this was going to play out when opening the package. The first thing you see is a leaflet with a phone number to call if you need assistance. Recommended.

I lost my left hearing aid in the yard while I was being chased by hornets (stung many times). Once the nest settled down I eliminated them and had no luck searching for my hearing aid in the grass. My old one cost over $3,000 and the replacement period expired. I was not willing to spend another $3000, so I thought I would give the OTOFONIX Encore a try. Over all, I am pleased. It performs about 80% as well as my old one, for 1/10 the cost. I've already recommended it to someone who simply can't afford spending $6,000 for a pair of hearing aids from the audiologist and will continue doing so.

A month before this purchase I bought aids from another company $2000 They were OK but not $2000 worth. I returned them and purchased these $250 for one. For me they are not perfect, but it's not the aid...it's more the type of hearing loss that I have. I love them they help me a lot. The key is to give it time and be patient, it took me three months. Customer service is there for you...call them. Good luck and God bless.
