Experience is the best teacher and I went through four hearing aid experiences that I returned! First was an over the ear type that cost over one thousand dollars through a medical supplier. They were destined to be lost between hair and eyeglasses. I began my search for "in the ear" help. I will skip the fault finding of three different in-ear choices. So, imagine my "happy" when I ordered and received the Wuvee set! Put them in and easily pushed the button. They worked as directed. Went to Church on Sunday and told my daughter - "I can hear the sermon!" Television has been turned down (big time!). And, I can speak at a normal level. So far: VERY GOOD!

I bought these amplified headphones and was pleasantly surprised. I put these in, and they worked well, and fit well right out of the box. Now, I know these are straight up amplifiers, and they are cheap, but they WORK! Almost too well. I heard stuff I have never heard before! That is the problem. I set these on the lowest level, and they are still bionic. I went out under my steel roofed porch in the rain, and just about died. I hear creaks in my floors I never heard before. Now, everything is louder. Not uncomfortably loud, but loud. I have a mid range hearing loss in my left ear only. It is 15 decibals lower in the 2k to 4k range. All of the other fruequencies are normal, and my right ear is normal. I have been like this since i was a kid. Now, I get that I am hearing things for the first time, but if my right ear is normal, then I don't need anything in that ear. That's fine. I tried wearing just the left one. The problem there is that the levels are so unbalance, that I can't tell direction of the sound anymore. I know I could get used to these, but I will try something more customizable, instead. If you have a 10 or 20 db loss in either or both ears...along all frequencies, then these are for you. When i was wearing them, I could turn the TV down so low, that now my wife couldn't hear it! I just need something to enhance my loss in the one ear, not be superhuman, so they are going back. But still, a great product for the money!
