Let’s be real—no litter box is 100% hands-off. I still do the occasional manual scoop for a deep clean, but that’s just part of cat life! I got this box for my older cat who had trouble with the Litter Robot, and it’s been a solid choice. It scoops reliably after each use, and the open, roomy design is much easier for her. There are a few trade-offs: the app doesn’t have tons of features, and sometimes clumped waste sticks to the bottom, which means a little extra scrubbing—especially since the box is white (same issue I had with the Litter Robot). Also, if my cats’ nails get too long, litter ends up everywhere. Keeping them trimmed really helps. All in all, for the price, this litter box is a win. I clean it about once a week, and even with two cats, it handles the job. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option that still gets the job done, I’d definitely give this one a shot. I tried an automatic litter box years ago, and honestly, it was more hassle than help. This one, though, is a total game-changer. The app works great and the backup battery gives me peace of mind when I’m not home. My cat Whiskers (a 10-pound Siamese) had no trouble switching to the open design—it’s way easier to clean and just works better all around. This litter box really delivers. Between the smart sensors, WiFi control, and the litter recycling feature, it takes a lot of the work out of cat care. I was also impressed by the starter kit—litter mat, waste bags, a scoop, cleaning brush, and even a sample of litter.     • Perfect Match for Fine Clumping Litter
I use a fine, clumping litter and it works flawlessly with this unit. Just a heads-up—if you’re using larger pellets or non-clumping litter, this might not be the best fit. But for fine stuff, it’s spot on.
