The media could not be loaded. Cat box is big. My issue is the tray is so small it requires cleaning every 2 days. Constantly cleaning off rake to keep it from emptying unused litter I bought this open top litter box because my cat is so big. My old rotating unit got poo and litter all over his fur when he turned around I might go back to a regular litter box.

We purchased this unit as a second litter box to fit into a small space alongside our Litter-Robot. Despite the similar price point, the performance is worlds apart—and not in a good way. 🧱 Build & Design The unit feels reasonably sturdy, which some other reviewers have pointed out. However, that’s where the positives end. Its compact size was appealing, but functionality should never be sacrificed for footprint. ⚙️ Performance The raking mechanism is ineffective at best. The rake function is more of a suggestion than a system. Even high-end clumping litter gets left behind like it missed the bus. This litterbox struggled to remove any waste. The included sample litter was practically useless and failed to clump at all. A self-cleaning litter box should actually clean. This one doesn’t. It creates more maintenance, not less. It doesn’t really clean itself. It just moves things around and hopes you won’t notice. 📱 App & Connectivity The companion app was frustrating to set up and barely worked. Compared to the seamless experience of the Litter-Robot app, it feels like a beta product at best. 💸 Value for Money For the same investment, the Litter-Robot is a far superior product. It’s large, yes—but it works. It consistently scoops waste and only occasionally needs a deep clean. For the same price, the Litter-Robot is in another league. Yes, it’s big. Yes, it might not fit under your laundry shelf. But here’s the twist: it actually works. This unit, by contrast, seems to require full cleanings frequently due to its ineffective waste removal. This box? It works like someone doing the bare minimum at a job they hate. 🚫 Bottom Line I initially hoped this would be a refined version of older self-cleaning technology—streamlined, affordable, and functional. Unfortunately, it’s not. It underdelivers on every core feature, and I seriously question how it maintains a 5-star average. The reviews appear suspiciously generous. If you’re debating between this and the Litter-Robot: save yourself the frustration. The Litter-Robot is worth the space and delivers what it promises. This unit simply doesn’t.

Let’s be real—no litter box is 100% hands-off. I still do the occasional manual scoop for a deep clean, but that’s just part of cat life! I got this box for my older cat who had trouble with the Litter Robot, and it’s been a solid choice. It scoops reliably after each use, and the open, roomy design is much easier for her. There are a few trade-offs: the app doesn’t have tons of features, and sometimes clumped waste sticks to the bottom, which means a little extra scrubbing—especially since the box is white (same issue I had with the Litter Robot). Also, if my cats’ nails get too long, litter ends up everywhere. Keeping them trimmed really helps. All in all, for the price, this litter box is a win. I clean it about once a week, and even with two cats, it handles the job. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option that still gets the job done, I’d definitely give this one a shot. Honestly, even my pricey Litter Robot still leaves some mess behind sometimes.

I tried an automatic litter box years ago, and honestly, it was more hassle than help. This one, though, is a total game-changer. The app works great and the backup battery gives me peace of mind when I’m not home. My cat Whiskers (a 10-pound Siamese) had no trouble switching to the open design—it’s way easier to clean and just works better all around. What really gives me extra peace of mind is the built-in safety protection system. It’s reassuring to know that the sensors make sure my cat is completely out of the box before it starts cleaning. I don’t have to worry about her getting startled or hurt—huge plus!

This litter box really delivers. Between the smart sensors, WiFi control, and the litter recycling feature, it takes a lot of the work out of cat care. I was also impressed by the starter kit—litter mat, waste bags, a scoop, cleaning brush, and even a sample of litter. You don’t see that kind of attention to detail often, especially at this price point.

I use a fine, clumping litter and it works flawlessly with this unit. Just a heads-up—if you’re using larger pellets or non-clumping litter, this might not be the best fit. But for fine stuff, it’s spot on.
