Love love love love this boiler!!! My husband and I use this on a daily and we can’t rave about it enough. This inside is a stainless steel which is the main reason I purchased this one, which makes it easy to clean and also there’s no plastic heating up constantly!! There is a small portion that’s plastic that I see (see photo) but it’s only on the lid and it doesn’t touch the hot water pot. I haven’t timed how long is takes to heat up fully but with the amount of times I’ve used it I’ve never had to wait for it to finish. When I click the unlock button a blue light shines and shows how much water is left, which I love because it’s hard to see how much water is left on other machines I’ve used. I have the 5L one and it’s perfect for a family of four who uses hot water on a daily. I was gonna get the smaller one because it was cheaper but I’m so glad I did not because we actually do use the entire 5 liters and have to fill it up every few days. We’ve have it for almost a year now and no complaints and it has held up great since then. It does take up a little space but then so does an electric kettle so no space lost honestly. ... show more

    • Great tasting water at the perfect temp

Originally bought a zojirushi water heater, which is more compact but the inside is silicone rather than stainless steel so we just tasted gross plastic water for a few weeks. Switched to this one for the stainless steel pot and as promised, zero weird taste since day 1! It has since worked exactly as promised and I can’t be more satisfied. It has 3 temp modes and they are all perfect. Now I get perfect hot water on demand. The lowest temp is actually perfect for ready to drink temp but I had to switch back to their default temp since I don’t drink fast enough and it cools down too quickly. ... show more

PROS: Nice looking, good capacity and good temperature control. Also, although it is difficult to get a tech to talk to (may have to wait a day or 2 for them to get back), they do stand behind their product and replaced when I asked. Also, it seems reasonably priced and has a good form factor. CONS: When half full neither of the units I got pump well. Comes in spurts once the unit is half full. Solution: keep it pretty full (which means consider your effective capacity to be half of what it's rated. Also, no on-off switch but that's a minor nuisance. Also, each use requires that you first press an "unlock" button before pressing the dispense button. It may be possible to turn that off or wire around the switch but I just put up with it (a little bit like Chinese water torture but I'm sure people with toddlers crawling on counters will like that safety feature. ... show more

    • Very disappointing and misleading

I could not be more disappointed. I was looking for hot water very quickly as the marketing implies but that i not what this product delivers. Also, this item appears to have been opened and returned before as the power cord and packaging for the manual were torn open already when i received. I filled with water up to about 90 percent capacity and turned it on. It took 34 minutes to reach 185 degrees. I was expecting something much faster than that. I had planned on using this in my concession trailer so speed is very important. 34 minutes with a 750 watt drain on my battery reduced my concession battery capacity down to 70%. Had hoped to utilize this at a scheduled event is 3 days but will need to find plan B. Water is easy to dispense so at least that is an accurate statement. ... show more

    • A perfect solution

To a problem I didn't know I had. I've had this water boiler for a little over 7 months now, and I could not possibly be happier with it. It's great for making multiple cups of tea per day without having to wait for the kettle to boil each time. It's also wonderful for foods that cook with boiling water (instant noodles, oatmeal, etc.). I like the standby feature to stop the heating for a certain amount of time, even though I don't use it. It takes approx. 25 minutes to boil the water when cooled or just filled, and I want my caffeine NOW in the mornings. I haven't seen any noticeable increase in my electric bill with leaving it on all the time. There are times when the water won't dispense, I think due to air in the line somewhere. I've noticed it mostly when I don't fill the carafe all the way to the fill line before letting it boil, and it's quickly remedied by opening the lid and closing it again. The black and stainless appearance fits in very well with the rest of my kitchen appliances and decor. I'm thrilled with this product. ... show more

Very good design. 3 temperature presets. Hot enough. The water level measure actually lights up. Last one I had did not light up. It's very important. Lid comes completely off. I didn't like that at first, but then realized it's very useful for cleaning.
