I have this kettle in white and absolutely love it!! It heats up so fast and turns off automatocally! It is well built and user friendly. I have had mine for well over a year without a single issue. I have not experienced any of the issues as mentioned by other reviewers and believe me this little kettle has been put to the test as I use it on the daily!! I bought it because the price was perfect for my budget and I LOVE that it lights up...adds fun to the kitchen!

My old stainless water boiler finally quit working after four years - this one is very nice, it works great - we'll see if it lasts four years. I bought a different one that I returned because it took too long to boil - this one is much faster, and shuts off properly. So far so good, I would recommend this.

EXCELLENT kettle for the price. It boils water for my tea very quickly. Stop using your microwave and get one of these… you will love it! It does make noise as it heats the water, but it is not as loud as a microwave. The glass does get hot as the water heats so be careful to use the handle when picking it up to pour water into your beverage receptacle. Because it is glass, there is no extra metal taste or smell added to your beverage.

Perfect for 3-years and beyond
3-year Update: I never wrote a review after the first purchase three years ago but here I am now back to buy another one. This has been hands down the best EVERY SINGLE DAY USED electric kettle. It’s never lost how fast it heated up nor how hot it got. Pretty much everything worked on it until maybe a year ago when it stopped turning off on its own after boiling. It is a nice feature to have because of piddling around but not a deal breaker. I’ve primarily used it to boil water but recently tried boiling tea in it and turn out perfect. There are some what I suspect rust spots in the heating metal where it meets the water but could be the Houston water and I used a Brillo pad once to clean the junk from the hard water. I’m here to buy another one that’s fresh and new and will continue to use the old one but primarily for tea and stuff. Highly recommended!

Heavy, tough to clean
Bought to replace an older one (different manufacturer). The good: heavy 3-prong plug, adequate base that could be a bit heavier. Heats water pretty quickly. Filled to the max line, it took just over 9 minutes to full boil and shut off. Emptied the water and refilled, second boil came in just over 7 minutes. Looks nice. The less good: the lid doesn't come off, and for someone with large hands (and/or arthritic wrists) this might be a drawback. There are instructions for removing scale, but if you dislike hard water spots on the glass, reaching into the interior to clean or dry is tough. The kettle is sturdy and heavy enough you probably won't tip it over; however, when filled, it is QUITE heavy, and pouring becomes uncomfortable for arthritic wrists. Gradual pouring (for making coffee) is iffy because the spout is more or less "all or none." It does the job and was cheap enough I won't bother returning. In the future I'll probably search for items like this in a store, where one can examine things better.
