The steamer doesn’t remove the grime, but loosens it enough to remove it easily with the scrub/brush and avoid using any detergent or other cleaners. This was a 20 min job and required 2 full tanks of water. I’m going to keep it.

The unit functions by creating a good amount of steam. The build quality though is very poor. As the plastic handle heats up, the metal fitting become loose. Since the steam is so hot, having the fitting get loose doesn't inspire confidence that it won't break while in use. I have a strong feeling that this unit will not hold up over time since the thread on the plastic are so fine (probably why the metal fitting become loose), that with repeated use the handle will eventually fail. ... show more

We had a bigger steamer- a large steam mop with handheld attachments- but I opted to buy this for portability. It's very simple to use, light weight, and portable, but the attachments are so flimsy! The metal brush head was unusable after about 5 minutes. No matter how well you screw things on, they constantly need adjustment. The handle is plastic, and gets very hot after a few minutes, and if you're working at an upward angle it drips (and burns) on your hand/arm (even with the o-rings provided). No difference in output turning up the settings. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. Don't do it. ... show more

Also smaller, lighter and faster to start steaming. On the plus side, this comes with a metal extension tube which I bent using a tubing bender so I can now get into all the evaporator drains that the Sunjoe wouldn't fit into. On the minus side, there's no push-button on the handle so once it starts steaming, it keeps going. This isn't actually a problem, although it was nice to be able to stop the steam on my old steamer without turning it off. All things considered, this is the best steamer I've ever owned, and I use it several times/week when servicing refrigerators. ... show more
