  • I'm Glad I Purchased The NEAT! I'm Glad I Purchased The NEAT!
Size: 17-piece (Neat Steam Cleaner)
UPDATE I've been using the NEAT for some carpet cleaning jobs (quite a few actually) and it has been great so far. I've been able to clean two and three bedroom apartments, and small homes with one fill of the reservoir, and actually haven't run into a situation where I've run out of steam and had to refill, so the runtimes ar actually really good. The amount of steam, and the dryness (?) has been fine for what I've used it for, and when you pause to allow it to reheat (which isn't really necessary, I just do it when I move the unit) it generally is ready again in less than a minute. I've been using the floor cleaning pads to clean carpets by putting some elastic hair ties around to keep the pad from being able to move, and it glides smoothly over even thick carpets, and generates plenty of heat (remember that this is a contact steamer, so a few inches away from the nozzle the steam is actually cooled quite a bit, so it's best to use attachments that keep you in direct contact to what you are cleaning). So below is my initial impression of the NEAT... I purchased this and it arrived in less than a week. It was in one well packed box, and the unboxing experience was fine. I noticed it had a swivelling floor nozzle, unlike the rigid one earlier reviewers had complained about, so it can easily maneuver to get behind and around toilets and other fixtures when cleaning. All of the individual accessories seem to be of high quality and fit well together and overall the NEAT has a nice modern appearance. The white color has a good durable look to it, and it will be easier to keep looking clean than some other brands in this price range with more contours and crevices that will trap grit and look shabby after a while (this is important for me as I use equipment in customers homes, and having your cleaning equipment looking shiny and new lends to your appearance, so hard to keep clean equipment makes more work for me to maintain it). It got to operating temperature in under 8 minutes, and even when used with the trigger lock on maintains adequate temperature and pressure and recovery time is fast enough for me. I used it for floors and carpets and it worked great. On carpets I found the floor pads work best as they simply glide over most carpet. Stubborn carpets where the pad doesn't glide easily, I simply put velcro straps towards the end of the floor tool around the pad to hold it in place and that fixed the problem (you can easily find double sided velcro in cut to length strips and make the parts you need, as well as use the same velcro in longer lengths to wrap the cord and hose if you don't want to use the cord wrap under the unit, which I don't use). I have used it to clean other items, with some success on some, and on other items, I found that steamers aren't the best option. An old microwave oven that no one had cleaned in about ten years (with old chili and spaghetti sauce etc that had been in place for years) was no match for the steam and everything came loose and could be easily wiped out. But a fiberglass shower that also hadn't been cleaned in ten years, with a heavy buildup of thick soap scum, and hard water stains didn't respond too much to steam (and had to be cleaned with hand scrapers). So some things can be cleaned with steam, and in fact are the only way you'd really want to clean them, while some things aren't worth the time and mess that steamers create for the slow headway you'd make using one. They are good on carpets, and upholstery cleaning, but on hard floors you may want o have a microfiber mop or wet/dry vac because they can leave floors wet. Hot dry steam hitting cool hard floors will cause condensation, and this moisture has to be either accepted as a by product, and you allow the floors to air dry, or you need to deal with the moisture with a mop or some other means. No big deal once you understand how it works. I love the NEAT so far, and Dupray has been a pleasant company to buy from. I have contacted customer service a couple of times, and they were helpful. One call was to ask the PSI of the unit (50 psi), and another was to see if an extension cord could be used ( one rated for 1500 watts, and 12.5 amps @ 110v is acceptable). They respond to by the next day or better, and phone calls are usually immediate, or they will call back within a few hours. Overall I would give this product highest marks in all categories, and Dupray is a pleasant departure from the average to poor customer service that is normal for most outfits these days. If you are in the market for one, and can't decide between this unit and a competitor, I recommend going with Dupray! ... show more

  • Hamburger Helped me with combating mystery flea infestation.
Size: 17-piece (Neat Steam Cleaner)
I’ve been battling a flea problem for months. Spent $300 on my own methods and $600 on a professional extermination. Maybe $200 more on other prevention items. The issue was so extreme that my home was unlivable and was told to find other (temporary) living options until this was resolved… For 3 months, my home had many extermination attempts and the fleas should be starved and eradicated due to no other living mammal being in the home. I’ve tried so many things, even freezing them out (a/c on high, open windows with freezing temps outside..) Not sure how this all happened in the first place considering my cat is regularly treated and mostly outdoors (yard treated as well). I’ve lived in my home for 3 years and never had an issue until months ago. The infestation seemed to be under control, but I still found fleas after everything. So far, my method below has been working well. Shipping took a while longer than expected, but when it arrived, I had some hope this would do the trick. I’ve done a lot of research on temperature killing points and the what might break the “glue” substance that binds bug eggs to surfaces. A lot of mixed information, I’d say it’s safe for anything above 250F. Dupray steamer gets to 275F and there’s another product they have that reaches 320F. Because of this, I gained some confidence that this is the one tool that would provide me with the upper hand at combating the fleas. While using this steamer, I noticed fleas jumping onto me (to try and survive?). Put me in a panic but reminded myself that this is doing its job. Using the white microfiber cloth provided was great because I could see how many fleas and other bugs this was killing. Even after killing my back and scrubbing the floors with PineSol, sweat, and tears, Dupray steam cleaner removed much more dirt. Being slightly physically disabled, deep cleaning is already a hassle, but this makes it so much easier with the extension arms. I do think a way to view water levels would be helpful and a temperature gauge would be a great feature on this product. Regardless the functions are durable. For anyone combating bugs (in this order): bag up all bedding and clothing to wash -dryer on high for about 10-20 minutes to kill any fleas. Wash everything- Premo brand laundry additive, soak clothing and bedding with this for about 15 minutes before washing and then wash with more of the additive. Helps keep the bugs away and off bedding and clothing. Vacuum everything -A good quality Shark vacuum (anything with a HEPA filter that intakes debris and doesn’t push it back out). Make sure to keep the vacuum running for about 10 minutes AFTER use to make sure the fleas or bug are really in the canister. Empty canister outside your home and tie the bag tightly after. Spray- Black Flag flea and tick spray. It’s potent so I recommend wearing a mask while spraying and leaving the home for a while. I sprayed literally everything. Wondercide has been recommended too for a less toxic and more everyday preventative, but I have not tried it yet. Vacuum again after about 24 hours of the spray odor has left the home. Just giving it enough time to set in.. STEAM -This Dupray steam cleaner, on everything. Use the white microfiber cloth provided so you could see what it’s all picking up or just anything white that will collect debris. Right after steaming sofas or other fabric types of furniture, use the Bisslle Hydrosteam upholstery cleaner while dirt is still “broken up” from the Dupray steamer. The Bissell does not at all have as hot of steam as the Dupray, but it’ll help get the furniture extra clean and pick up any dirt or bugs that the steamer could not (all about the suction on the Bissell). And DON’T get complacent. Depending on your level of infestation, repeat anywhere from daily to once a week until you feel you are completely bug/flea free. Pets: I was treating my cat with a super simple generic topical from the local feed store and Adam’s brand Flea shampoo. After finding out about this whole flea ordeal, I did more research and started to treat my cat with a combo of an oral and a topical -Capstar & Cheristin at the same time. But please speak to your vet first! My cat is a chonk (Maine Coon) and I wanted to tackle this from all angles, but safely. On top of all the bug issues this has helped with, it really does the deepest clean without any toxins or chemicals. ... show more

  • Nifty, multi-use cleaner Nifty, multi-use cleaner
Size: 17-piece (Neat Steam Cleaner)
★★★★★ from Amazon Customer on July 27, 2018 Nifty, multi-use cleaner I bought this steam cleaner because I was looking for something to help clean carpet, but I didn't want one more appliance taking up space in the closet. I was drawn to this Neat steamer because of its compact size and myriad uses. Pros: - It does a great job of spot-cleaning carpet stains (see before and after attached). Much faster and easier than spray cleaners or soap and water. The heat may be problematic for some kinds of carpet, but if you're trying to fix a stain, then there's not much to lose in the first place - I loved being able to go straight from carpet to laminate flooring with the flooring attachments, so fast and easy! - The accessories and attachments feel very solid and durable, a heavyweight plastic that seems like it will last a long time - The tank capacity is voluminous. I read other reviews that complained it was too small, but I spot-cleaned and steamed our dining room and kitchen floors, bathroom toilet and floor, bathroom grout lines (before/after attached) shower floor, 6 large windows (inside and outside), and my kitchen counter -- about 2 hours of cleaning -- and still had water left over. - The steam has amazing cleaning power. It dissolves sticky messes so easily and doesn't leave a residue. It removed dirt and dust I didn't even know were on my kitchen counter. Cons: - The unit handle and hose get very hot with prolonged use. Not hot enough to be painful, but enough to be disconcerting. Just something to be aware of. - The unit tends to drip a bit here and there, either from steam condensation or the ends of attachments. You definitely want to keep a microfiber towel on hand. The one included is wonderful, but to do more than one or two things at a time, I had to use more. Other notes on use: As the manufacturer notes, the steam is very hot. There is not really a trigger lock (just a button that keeps the trigger open), so you may need to exercise extra caution and vigilance when using it, especially if you have little, curious kids at home (like I do!) Overall the machine is very quiet, except if you use it with the trigger attachment in an enclosed space like a small shower. I would definitely recommend using ear protection in that situation. I would give this a B+ or A- for carpet cleaning. To be fair, the manufacturer does not advertise this as a carpet cleaner. It gets spots out very well, but mostly "refreshes" the main carpet if you use the floor attachment. The carpet is definitely cleaner and looks better, but doesn't feel as clean as if you used a shampooing/wet machine. However, I feel like it is adequate for my needs, and is much easier to use than a shampooing machine. The price point for this machine is highly competitive. It is more affordable than similar machines, and feels like a good deal, given its apparent high quality and cleaning power. That being said, I feel like there is a missed opportunity for built-in storage for the hose and accessories. However, you can easily fix that with a simple storage bin. Overall, it's a great product, and I'm happy to pay a lower cost on a minimalistic machine and add towels or storage options as I need them. ... show more

  • Not a miracle worker, but nothing short of fantastic!
Size: 17-piece (Neat Steam Cleaner)
This is a fantastic steam cleaner (the only one I've ever owned or used), but temper your expectations if you think this is going to be a miracle worker. It takes a little longer then advertise to get up to temp, it took around 12 minutes. Definitely not a big deal, because usually I'm prepping the area I'm about to steam clean. Take this with a grain of salt, since I don't have any scientific calibrated temp tools (nothing other than a meat thermometer). I was not able to reach the advertised temperature. The temp hovered around 171 degrees. Now for a couple of things that I've used the Duprau Neat Steam Cleaner on: The first thing I use the neat steam cleaner on was the stove, The stove we currently have is around 6 years old (black, which shows dirt, grease, and streaks perfectly) and came with the house we purchased about 6 months ago. The neat steam cleaner was able to cut through the dirt and grease like it was nothing. I was also able to clean the range hood which was covered in grease. The oven and range hood looked like it was new. I was so impressed with the results, that I was eager to find the next challenger. Next, I steam cleaned the refrigerator (which always has streaks and fingerprints on it no matter what product we use). The steam cleaner made quick work of it. It was simple as steaming the surface area and simply wiping it down with a clean cloth. With everything being so simple, and easy. I moved over to the dishwasher that looks like it hasn't been cleaned on the inside in years. Once again the Dupray Neat steam cleaner did not let me down. Now that the steam cleaner was warmed up, it was time for it's real challenger...The Shower, armed with this glass doors, curved surfaces and non-slip surface that dirt loves to sit in. Showers has been my nemesis since the dawn of time. I have tried every type of spray (Spray Nine being my favorite). I have tried every tool, and even attachments for my drill to tackle the dirt that settles in the non-slip surface (Cleaning stone works great, but you have to put your back into it. Also, I eat through the cleaning stone quick with the pressure I use). The neat steam cleaner came to temp and gave me the green light. I attached the Lance followed by a small nylon brush which was included in the 18-piece cleaning kit. I pulled the trigger and lightly scrubbed the non-slip surface that had been my arch-nemesis for so long. The neat steam cleaner detached all of the dirt with ease. I started on the glass doors, and it remove the soap scum, but sadly not the hard water stains. It didn't matter because at this point I was in love, and no one or thing for this matter is perfect. I have never had this much fun cleaning and at no point did I have to use any type of harsh cleaners to get the job done. For $150 this is "The Little Steamer That Could". ... show more

  • Just Great - A wonder in the kitchen and very useful in the bothroom. Just Great - A wonder in the kitchen and very useful in the bothroom.
Size: 17-piece (Neat Steam Cleaner)
I got the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner for 25% off, at about $150. Easily the best use of $150 in years. This steamer is as easy to use as a vacuum. Kitchen floor: My marmoleum (like linoleum) floor holds on to grime, especially in high traffic areas below the sink and food prep counter. Scrubbing with a conventional sponge mop with hot water and soap would not remove the worn-in grime. After the first pass with this steam cleaner most of the grime was gone. I figured I was passing over the floor too quickly. I let it dry and did a second passing back and forth over the floor slowly in the highly trafficked areas. When the water dried, it was clean. This is SO MUCH easier, no scrubbing and no bearing down hard on the mop handle trying to get the grime off. Next, I used the steamer's handle and floor attachment, which has great clamps for using your own microfiber cloths, to apply two coats of liquid finish to the marmoleum. When I was done, I squeezed out the microfiber cloth and popped it in the washer load, and then rinsed any liquid finish off of the floor attachment with hot water. Stainless steel cook top: I had a baked-on oil spot on the edge of the cook top and I could not remove it regardless of scrubbing, hot water, or chemical cleaners. Using the nozzle attachment, I slowly passed over that area then rubbed it briskly with a nappy all-cotton rag, and it was gone. Then I went after those annoying baked on spots under the burners. See the photos. Ceramic tile bathroom floor: This was a breeze. I ran a vacuum over the floor to get up loose dirt and dust, them a single pass with the steam cleaner around the toilet, along the base of cabinets and shower, and then the rest of the floor. Once the floor dried, it was spotless, and no chemical smell. I attached the nozzle and did a quick pass under the inside rim of the toilet, then a light pass with the toilet brush in the bowl. Best part, nothing cast-ff from the brush while cleaning under the rim. In the walk-in shower: I used the nozzle to clean out the base, corners, and insides of the slider door track. I'd cleaned this regularly, the corners were always hard to get and it would get grimy and moldy fast. Now I know why. I hadn't been able to clean deep enough in the groove and underneath parts of the track; this left grime/shower mold that re-populated quickly. The volume of grime I cleaned out was unreal, like how did it all fit in there. Now there's nothing there to re-populate it, so it should stay much cleaner betweemn bi-weekly cleanings. I tried using the steamer and squeegee on the built-up mineral stains on my shower doors. Honestly, I hadn't been cleaning it off the doors for about the last year because it's a lot hard scrubbing with harsh chemicals and it would only remove most of the build-up; plus, I had to be inside the shower with the doors closed (without kids, no real incentive to deep clean). The steamer alone didn't remove the heavy caked-on areas, but it did soften the build-up. It did remove lighter built-up residue, but left streaks. This is what I found worked: - In the lighter areas on the upper parts of the doors, I sprayed with low-chemical cleaner (I use Purcay, but I'm sure Method or Mrs. Meyers would work fine), let it sit a minute, passed over with the steam cleaner using the squeegee attachment, and the wiped lightly with a dry cotton rag to wipe of anything remaining. - On the heavy buildup areas, I passed over with the steamer and squeegee then immediately (while the residue was still soft) used Borax on a damp no-scratch dish scrubber with a light circular scrubbing pattern. I rinsed it off and the doors are clean. So much easier and a lot faster. Now the hard work is done, keeping it cleaned-off using just the steamer, or a light cleaning spray with the steamer should work. My next weekend project are the carpeted stairs. I'll use the triangular brush attachment with the microfiber "bonnet" with the steamer to kill of carpet moths and their eggs without chemicals. ... show more

  • Perfect steam cleaner for the entire house Perfect steam cleaner for the entire house
Size: 17-piece (Neat Steam Cleaner)
I am a classic overthinker, so I've been researching a steam cleaner for a couple years now. I already had a steam mop that works great, but I wanted a steam cleaner that could be used for other areas. Real talk: I wanted it mainly for the bathroom. I live in a house full of boys. Very tall boys, aiming at a relatively small area far below. I don't want to be indelicate—turn away now if you have a weak stomach!—but I need something to blast pee out of those toilet hinges. I clean the bathroom three times every week (like I said, boys, and I have just one bathroom), but the smell still lingered, and I was positive the problem was those hinges. Let me tell you, sister: as soon as I opened the box... well, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start at the beginning. The Neat steamer is a small cube, very minimalist and, well, neat. The 16-foot-long cord (that's long, you guys!) wraps around its holder hidden from view on the bottom of the unit. I worried that I would have to wait to wrap the cord and put the cleaner away until it cooled off and was emptied, but no, I have flipped the cube over while still hot and full with no problems. The carrying handle is recessed into the top of the cube, and yes, it's light enough to actually carry around, but you likely won't need to. It also has casters that roll very well on my hard floors and a berber carpet. And the accessories! My goodness, so many accessories. I thought I really only wanted and needed the nozzle to concentrate the steam, but I'm finding I'm using all of them. I love the nylon brushes for my grout. I also used them for my cabinet doors and the grubby corners a kid grabs to keep himself upright as he barrels around the house at breakneck speed. The window squeegee makes quick work of the gazillion dog-nose smudges (but put a towel down at the bottom to catch all the water that will drip down). If your windows are particularly tall, using one or both of the included extension wand sections really increase your reach. My couch cushions (again, look away, you with weak stomachs) were beginning to take on a slight boy-butt odor, with maybe a suggestion of boy feet, after several weekends-long marathon group gaming sessions... the corner tool with the included bonnet took care of that quickly. I *think* I could do it even faster using the floor tool and a cloth. Speaking of the floor tool, I thought I would not use it, since I have a perfectly wonderful steam mop already, but I was wrong. I love that I can use the included microfiber mop cloths or *any* cloth I want, simply by clipping it on. Perfect! And the steam from the Neat doesn't reach the same temperature as my steam mop does, which sounds like a downside, but what I had not realized before I bought the steam mop was that the super-high-temp steam would ruin the finish on my vinyl flooring. Had I bought the Neat years ago, my vinyl would still be shiny, so let that be a cautionary tale for you. But back to the bathroom. I believe it would be worth the cost of the Neat steamer for the bathroom alone. Because of the timing of the delivery, I used it just *after* I'd cleaned the bathroom (and I should tell you, I am a very thorough cleaner). Yup, those toilet seat hinges were the problem. I used the nozzle to concentrate the steam, and it blew through those hinges and allowed me to wipe up the offending particles with a paper towel. While I was there, I went ahead and used one of the nylon brushes to clean the edges where the tub trim meets the floor and gave the tops of the baseboards a good wipe, too. I hadn't thought of it until just that moment, but I steamed the inside of the wastebasket. It looked clean beforehand, but I like the idea that I killed any germs that may have been lingering. One thing in the bathroom that I always seem to forget is cleaning the lightbulbs. Dust and hair (how the heck does dog hair keep getting into a room the dogs are not allowed to enter??) and the steam that results from long showers combine to leave an almost concrete-like substance on baseboards, tops of medicine cabinets and window trim, etc., and on the lightbulbs. It was amazing how quickly the steam melted it right off those neglected bulbs. Maybe the best feature of all is the trigger lock. My hands would be stiff claws if I had to keep the trigger squeezed the entire time I was cleaning! For quick jobs, I just pull the trigger and let it go, but for longer tasks like mopping the floor, the trigger lock is invaluable. I have very few complaints, and they aren't even really complaints. In my extensive research, I saw several people complain that some water shoots out before the steam begins. Yes, there will likely be some water in your hose or attachment that will come out ahead of the steam, but since you know it'll happen, it's a problem easily solved by starting with the nozzle pointed into the sink or even just at a cloth or towel. One valid point I'd seen made and have observed myself is that there is no water level indicator. When you're out of water, the steam stops with no warning. It's a slight annoyance to have to fill the reservoir and wait the 5 or 8 minutes for it to heat and pressure to build, but it's not an insurmountable problem. I would have liked to have an accessories storage included, but I just slide the cardboard box they came in into the closet beside the Neat unit (you can see in the picture how this fits even in my ancient house's tiny linen closet). Which brings up my last "complaint": the hose does not detach from the unit, and there is no "holster" for storing the hose. Again, not a deal breaker. I just coil the hose and hope for the best. IMPORTANT: Don't use tap water! I have very, very hard water, but even if yours isn't as bad as mine, those minerals will eventually ruin things like your wonderful steam cleaner. Just buy yourself a gallon or two of distilled water and know you're lengthening the life of your precious Dupray. In summary, I highly recommend the Dupray Neat steam cleaner. Update: It's 2.5 years later, and I still love my Dupray Neat. There was recently a recall (see recall info in your "Accounts & Lists" up there at the top of the screen), and the fix is dead simple. First, look at the rating label on the bottom of your unit. Only model number DUP020WNA is included in this recall. If that's your model, go to Dupray.com/recall and enter the batch/date code from your label, and Dupray will mail you a replacement cap at no charge. ... show more

  • A must have - forever A must have - forever
Size: 17-piece (Neat Steam Cleaner)
This is a must have for me now. My husband got me it after we bought a new house and I had been wanting it for a year or so but always talked myself out of it. It ended up being perfect. I got this cart to put it on top of and store all it's pieces and cloths in. I drag this thing around with me everywhere. I can clean 3 rooms with it typically before needing to refill. But I use it for everything. I'll clean my cabinets and counters and then switch on the floor attachment and clean the kitchen floor then go clean the livingroom floor and switch attachments and clean the big glass door and then switch and clean my kids yogurt off the rug. I'd definitely recommend getting this specific cart. It fits perfectly snug and it makes the use of the actual steamer way easier. It has a spot for everything, the clean rags and bonnet have their own shelf on mine that I use the wooden top cover on to cover them and keep them clean. The bottom is where the large attachments go and ill throw my dirty ones there while im cleaning and them take them to the wash right after. Definitely get a pack of bonnet and it'll quickly become ur favorite cleaning tool. I haven't needed to buy more of the floor pads because 3 has been enough for me. I usually clean 3 to 4 rooms at a time and by the time im ready to do another round of rooms ill have them clean already. If you don't have a washer and dryer, u can hand wash them, but if ur not going to do that then buy twice as many as you think you'll need. I know because when I didn't have this and didn't own a home and lived in a 800 sq ft apartment there still was never enough rags in between laundromat visits. But if u have a wash and dryer- 3 floor pads should be fine and an extra pack of luke 12 bonnet is good. Keep a towel on the cart if you don't want to wait for floors to dry too! The steamer has wheels, but this way let's u have everything all together in the area ur using it constantly and then when ur done wrap the cords up onto the hooks and ur done. Stick it in the closet til u need it again. I have a set of 14 stairs in my house and it's light enough even on the cart that I can easily carry it up and down. Everything being compact like this let's me use it whenever I want without it being a whole ordeal. If I know my livingroom or my bedrooms are gonna need cleaning I still and start it up ahead of time to make sure by the time im ready to go its already good and ready too. This has saved me soooo much money already too on cleaning products. I only have one enzymatic cleaner I need now. I buy a gallon of that every 3 months and im good to go. So it's definitely worth the purchase. This is becoming a 3 item/part review. Lmao Oh and I needed to replace the cap because the gasket broke and when I had a hard time finding a replacement I called the Dupray (I cant remember the names spelling) customer service and got to speak woth a human. She asked me what part of the knob was broken and I told her "the rubber ring" and she got me the oart nu.ber so that I could just get more of those instead of replacing the whole cap. Super helpful!!! 👌 10 stars from me. When this one finally does break (🤞 long live the king) ill be back for another one for sure.. Last thing- my son dropped it one time and it lived. So it's durable! Lol ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY THE DUPRAY NEAT STEAM CLEANER
Size: 17-piece (Neat Steam Cleaner)
As mentioned in title, DO NOT BUY THE DUPRAY NEAT STEAM CLEANER - THE COMPANY MAKES IT AS HARD AS POSSIBLE FOR THE CUSTOMER, IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH IT! I only had the steam cleaner for less than a year, when it all of a sudden it didn't work as well as it always had! I was told it was still under warranty, and not to worry! Which sounded wonderful, of course! I used it often, meaning as soon as it stopped producing the high heat, and only spit out luke warm vapor, it was obvious it had a problem and no longer was working correctly. So! I called the company, and told them about how while it was still shooting out the water vapor as usual (or how it should- as I know, because it was a tool I found to be very useful to have around the house, especially with stainless steel appliances, and all the little fingerprints that come with having those! I ended up using it way more than I thought I initially would! So yes, to having a good steam cleaner in the house! Just...not this brand, as I've learned customer service makes it as hard as they can for you to be able to get it fixed, especially if you are a little older and not of the generation that is a tech savvy!) That it although it IS producing the steam vapor, it ISN'T producing the heat anymore, and that is essential for a steam cleaner to work effectively! I discussed all of this over the phone with them... and I said, can I send you a video to your email, or send it through a text somehow to you? How about I make a video of it, and stick my hand right in front of where the boiling steam should be - I said, if it was working as it should, there would be no way for me to put my hand anywhere in front of it, without being hurt and it causing pain... I said that is the only way I can think of proving it to you that it isn't working correctly, other than just boxing it up and shipping it to you for you to open it up and check to.find out that it's not working, and what to do to fix it. Here's where I got upset. As I've mentioned, I am not very techy. I can push a button to order something, but that's about the extent of my abilities. Instead of making it simple where I could maybe figure out how to email it directly to them... they wanted me to go to a whole new program/system thing, and sign up to use something called Dropbox. I followed directions, and did just what they said. I spent time uploading my video, all for them to tell me nothing was sent... so I had my husband sit down and help me, and when I asked if they received it...still said no! I was like, okay...neither me or husband isn't doing it right... let me ask my niece... she took over for me... said they still are getting a blank video. I asked my cousin when she came over if she could figure it out for me, and told her all that we did on our end, and she couldn't figure it out either. By this time, the free trial of Dropbox had expired, and I was not going to pay for a new subscription, just for the Dupray company to MAYBE make things right. I figure, at this point I can just use the money for a Dropbox subscription that I obviously don't even know how to use, and put that money instead toward a DIFFERENT brand of steam cleaner that I am obviously now going to have to buy. They said they were getting a notifications or whatever, but that no video was ever included.... at that point, I realized they were "never going to "receive" the video - wink, wink. Some good amount of time has passed now, and I am in need of purchasing a good steam cleaner, since after they figured out that sending me to a different place (Dropbox) in order to send them a video of it not working, wasn't able to happen they should have made other suggestions...ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS... even telling me to ship it to them... even if it ended up not being able to be fixed, it would not have mattered if they didn't want to ship it back to me, as it's literally worthless, since it isn't producing hot vapor! Instead, a few months has passed since all of this, and I am finding myself in the market to purchase a steam cleaner yet again. I will be looking in detail to buy one that has great customer service reviews, and that backs their product easily, without sending their customers on what felt like a wild goose chase! I will not be buying or supporting DUPRAY brand again after this, as they never wanted to make things right, even with it being under warranty! I will include one of the videos I made to send to them, that they supposedly never got. If this information was helpful at all, please give it a "like" at the bottom, so I know spending my time writing all this was worth it and hopefully helped somebody! Thanks! ... show more
