  • Perfect for us fur mamas 🐾
Sorry so long I hate long reviews but they do help those that research while shopping so I want to contribute! I was looking to replace my shark steam mop that I’ve had for four years as it finally kicked the bucket and stopped steaming. As a replacement I was looking for something that didn’t have a thousand attachments because my shark had it and I only used them once. I’ve gotten my routine down to where I vacuum the whole house and then steam and that’s a timely process. I didn’t even know they made two-in-ones like this one! I have a messed up arm from heavy equipment like hand-held vacuums and the shark steam mop because it swivels all crazy. This one ended up being heavy but it didn’t aggravate my arm at all. It doesn’t allow for crazy swivels so there was minimal risk for hurting my arm. And let me say, vacuuming and steaming as you go is the BEST! I was so nervous because it completely changes the routine and I found myself overthinking about how I was going to work it literally. Like do you vacuum and then steam, or do you do both simultaneously? Like, how do I do it?! I finally just went in and went with it. And it went beautifully and cut my floor-cleaning in half! Whole house done in just one go! I only had to refill the water tank once compared to three times before with old product. And the cord is the usual length. The handle is adjustable if you need to make it shorter or taller. And I like to have multiple pads on hand so I can change as I go. I like to dedicate one pad to our master bedroom, one for the kitchen and one for living area. And then when I’m done, I toss them all in the washer and hang-dry. It’s what I did with my old product. Also, emptying the vacuumed debris from dirt tank was super easy too. I have replacement filters on the way. Bravo, this two-in-one is AWESOME especially for its price. I’m super happy! I still have my super lightweight vacuum cleaner for daily maintenance to alleviate my arm, and a spray swiffer-like mop for daily spot-checks and its own washable pads. I’ll be using this two-in-one once a week ;) PS I’m a GSD fur mama and she’s currently shedding, there couldn’t have been a more perfect time to try this new thing out! Her ball of fur was in the dirt tank nice and dry while the mop pad clearly picked up the dirt tracked by her muddy paws from recent rainy weather. This is a must-have for fur mamas! ... show more

  • Works Perfectly, Designed Well
I love this vacuum/mop! I have a long-haired cat who sheds like crazy. This is the perfect vacuum/mop for me. I vacuum and mop all in one step, saving me a lot of time and effort. I use this on my tiled floors and on my sealed hardwoods. I use this all over a couple of times a week and spot clean when necessary and it is wonderful knowing that not only do my floors look clean, they ARE clean. The steaming function sanitizes as it mops, which makes me feel good about walking barefoot in my house. My floors are clean without harsh chemicals, which is an added benefit. I purchased additional mop heads, which means I machine wash all of them at once, once a week with bleach and standard laundry detergent and then throw them in the dryer. There is very little fuss or trouble with the process. I have a few rugs, and I simply snap off the mop portion and vacuum the rugs as I would with a regular vacuum. This vacuum/mop was worth every penny. I've had it for several months and I've never been happier with my floors. I can highly recommend this one without hesitation. ... show more

  • Great device with some minor inconveniences *ETA
I used the vacuum option first before I steam mopped my kitchen floor and although it was difficult to push around, it did a good job sucking things up! My old vacuum wouldn't even suck up pieces of dog food. This Bissell had no issues doing that. With it being so small, it can get under the entertainment center and my couches better than my old, chunky vacuum. The two things I didn't like about it was that I couldn't vacuum without pressing the steam button on the handle and it definitely doesn't glide on carpet like my other vacuum. Those are my biggest complaints. With it being difficult to push around on the carpet, you really have to put some force on the handle to get it around and there's no avoiding pressing the button during that. That's why I gave it 4 stars. Maybe they could put a sliding cover over the steam button so you won't press it during the vacuuming process. And maybe some roller wheels (idk what to call them but you get the gist lol) on the front of the vacuum to help glide on the carpet better. Now on to the steam option. It's very simple to use and cleans incredibly well. The picture I attached was after one use! My floors are shiny and smooth. I love that I can vacuum and steam my floors at the same time. Overall this is a great machine and worth the money. ***ETA Okay so I've used this about 4 times now and wanted to add to my review now that I've had a good go with it. I do not think this vacuum/steam mop is good for houses with a lot of carpet. I'm saying this because the container that you have to dump out after it gets full is so small that in order to vacuum my carpets, I have to empty it out about 3 times and my house isn't very big or dirty... I vacuum my floors just about everyday bc, well, I have 2 children and a dog, so things get a little messy. I think this device would work better for someone who has mostly hard floors. For that reason and the other inconveniences I mentioned above, I'm going to return it for something else. I do still recommend this, but not for people who have a lot of carpet like I said. ... show more

  • Tested out 4 products and this one was best.
After purchasing and returning 3 mops/vacuums I finally found this one and I love it. I love my prior Bissel Steam Mop but it had run its life course; about 5 years. This product is great because it actually vacuums as you mop. I tried the Bissel Crosswave All in One floor cleaner and it left tons of wet pet hair along the floors. I didn’t like that so I tried this one and LOVE IT! It actually vacuums all of the pet hair and other debris and then steams it all in one shot! So far I’ve found it easy to go a little slower and allow the vacuum to work fully, rather than going too fast. Even with slowing down a bit I still was able to clean my entire upstairs flooring in less time and less energy than using a broom and steam mop, which was my prior routine. After purchasing and returning multiple vacuums and mops I finally landed on this one and am very happy. Another great bonus, you can purchase throw away pads if you prefer. Because let’s be honest, sometimes you’re just not in the mood to deal with washable pads. Other people mentioned that it leaks. It does leak if you overfill the water reservoir. Put a little less than recommended and you’ll be fine. Also, the water reservoir is larger and easier to fill than the Shark steam mop. Vacuum function really does work and the dirt reservoir stays dry. A bit heavier than a steam mop, but that’s bc of the vacuum function. I didn’t find it too heavy or difficult to maneuver. If you have weak fingers or arthritis it may impede you ability to use comfortably. ... show more

  • Efficient and easy to use
I got my Bissell the other day and couldn't wait to use it. I still wish it were cordless, BUT it makes mopping way easier. I still ended up with a steam mop, which means no cleaning solution, but cleans with heat. It's way more efficient than my shark steam mop, and I can turn it off. The vacuum part is awesome! My 7 year old son spilled salad in the bathroom (don't ask) right before I mopped it, and it just swept it right up while I mopped, love that! The handle it adjustable, so the kids can run it, and I can easily apply steam when I want, and turn it off when I want. That is so convenient. The reusable pads are easier to put on and take off than on my shark...BUT that's because you take the plate off the machine with the tap of a foot and the pad easily pops on and off...the plate is NOT easy to put back on. And turning the machine upside makes it leak. (That doesn't happen with the shark). I need to get like two more of the pads. I'm not sure if it holds more water or is just more efficient but it does last longer in the Bissell. And the Bissell seems to heat up faster. Plug and play....vs plug, wait....wait....wait....start steaming.....wait for the pad to get enough moisture...now you can mop. ... show more

  • First one stopped steaming in 2 weeks, warranty replacement leaks everywhere
I bought this back at the end of August and was super excited to get it. Within 2wks the unit stopped heating up to make steam. Amazon encouraged me to reach out to Bissell for help, and I did. The process of reaching out to Bissell took a little over 2wks all in, so I was out of my return window by the time the warranty replacement Bissell sent arrived. But to back up a bit, help from Bissell was effectively non existent. The tech I was paired with for emailing back and forth kept giving me directions on what parts of the unit to remove and check for clogs, but this unit had none of those pieces as removable. All of the places he was telling me I should be able to slide a panel or easily click to remove pieces of the machine to check are securely screwed together. It’s like he was giving me advice on different steam mop units (also semi confirmed from the amount of YouTube scraping I did to try and find troubleshooting for this exact model; what he was telling me to do would have worked for other models I saw). Finally he said no problem, he would process a warranty replacement and a new unit out. In most cases, I’d have rather just returned this to Amazon, but this was the first time I’d seen Amazon suggest reaching out to the manufacturer, so I followed their lead and got what seemed to be a reasonable outcome: a brand new machine. WRONG. This outcome was no bueno too. About a month into owning it, I found the ground beneath it absolutely soaked one morning. I assumed maybe I hadn’t closed the tank fully when I refilled it, or maybe one of my in laws staying with me knocked it over and didn’t realize it had effectively emptied the tank and wrote it off. This happened again when it was just my husband and I at home, shortly after I’d finished spot mopping an area. Went back to finish after dinner and again, a puddle under the unit. This is all on my laminate floors, too, so now I have these nice little hooved up edges where the water sat and soaked in. Anyway, I thought it was user error and used some of my previous self taught troubleshooting techniques to try and fix it. I limped it alone for the last 6ish wks, just hoping I’d make it through the holiday season. I made sure to always empty it when I was done and everything. But, just before thanksgiving, the unit began leaking near constantly when in use. Steam mopping was pointless because you left a trail of big droplets behind you. Still, I kept trying to fix it. Then, this morning, it effectively stopped steaming. It didn’t *entirely* stop, but the stream of steam that comes directly out of the body is so minute it’s ineffective, and the majority of water that comes out of the body just dribbles out in a steady stream when you hold the handle down. The unit is warm to the touch, but it’s just not making much steam at all. I considered maybe it’s my water, but I switched to filtered and distilled only on this second one and it still crapped out. I’m over it. I’m done. This machine has so much potential to be good and when it worked I LOVED it, but there’s clearly some sort of issue with the steam end of the whole process. Fwiw, I contacted Amazon about this whole issue and made it clear that the reason I was outside of the return window was their own doing. After 3 chat techs and 29min, they finally refunded me in whole and said to just toss the bunk warranty replacement unit. What an absolute shame, but at least I got my money back. ... show more

  • Do not get fooled. Traditional mop is much better
After doing days and days of research I bought this Symphony Powerfresh vac and steam. All the research I have performed points to this machine as being perfect for tile. I have a 2’400 sq foot tile home. Only tile, nothing but tile. We have 7 cats. No children. We normally use a hot water bucket with pine sol a and foam-roller mop to do our floors. Just to give you an idea we have to change the water in the bucket at least 6 times to do the whole house. The mopping consists of dipping the foam roller into the hot water, squeezing the foam to get the majority of the water out of the foam, doing back and forth passages over the tile, and then soaking the foam roller in the water to clean it then squeezing it, then repeating the operation. Pretty straightforward, right? I wanted to find a better and less time-consuming method for the above, so I performed all this research. In the end, the research was inconclusive. Despite watching countless videos, it did not tell me if I should buy a normal mop and bucket, this steam mop power fresh machine, the more expensive machines with rollers (cross wave, etc), The Hoover Floormate Deluxe, or even those two shark and Bissell machines with the rotating steam mops. I guess I will try them all before deciding which is good and which is bad. I tried the power Fresh for 30 minutes, and I judged it to be as follows:. I only did a small tile room about 10’x12’. The steam mop took me twice as long as I normally employ the bucket and mop. The steam mop just adds steam to the floor and mixes all the dirt together, then pushes the dirt from one place to another. It does not pick up dirt. The vacuum feature on this machine is pathetic. Quite frankly, for all the years and decades Bissell or any other vacuum company has had the time to perfect a vacuum cleaner, this is really a pathetic attempt. It’s weak, and simply leaves the dirt to be mixed with the steam on the ground. The bottom pad has to be changed every 6 minutes; it gets so dirty. I would have to change about 25 pads to do the whole house. So, to conclude, is this power-fresh steam mop better than a real mop for tile floors? No, absolutely not. It just wets the dirt (heats it up too), and moves it around. ... show more

  • Best hard floor cleaner I’ve ever owned!
This has some unfair reviews. There are reviews about it not working well on carpet, but it’s not a carpet cleaner or vacuum, it’s a hard floor cleaner and hard floor vacuum . This thing is amazing! I’m an animal foster and I have a lot of hard floors in my house ranging from tile, laminate, to hardwood. This thing works great on all my hard floor surfaces even with all the animal fur. I love that you don’t need to purchase special cleaners, only distilled water. There are two levels of steam and they get my floors cleaner than any mop has with less effort. You can vacuum and steam at the same time, which is such a time saver, or separately. I’ve owned other mop vacs from Shark and Swiffer, this one is far superior. Other mop vacs require expensive, disposable pads. Some brands won’t even vacuum without the expensive disposable pad. This one has a reusable, washable pad which saves money and space in the land fill. You won’t regret this purchase! ... show more
