Half the time we only need one burner. The only problem we had, as with all our Mr Heaters, is the tip over safety switch goes out in about a year. There is a clip on YouTube on how to fix it. Been happy with it ever since the fix.

I had a 20+ year old propane heater that is finally dead. I needed a new one. I am just heating a 2 car insulated garage in Northern California. When the garage was in the 40s during a cold snap, 34 degrees outside. (Cold for us, I know) I had the garage at 72 in about 20 minutes. Then I would shut a burner down and have the other to the lowest setting and it maintained 68 - 70 with no problems. I get about a week in the garage for a 3-4 hour wrench session in this way. The negatives (not deal breakers); it does not have an igniter. My old one had a push to spark ignition. The other is to shut down one side you have to shut both off for about a minute. Then the thermocoupler cools off on the one you don’t want to run. Then ignite the other side. ... show more
