I highly recommend this fan! It's very powerful but very very quiet, which I was not expecting. It's lovely to be able to turn it on and control it from the other side of the room thanks to the remote- and to actually FEEL the airflow. This is not like your average fan. I know there are other fans that also have a remote but they don't compare at all to this! It gets very warm where I live and there is always some sort of activity I can be doing (gardening, sitting on the patio, having a BBQ outside) but if it's too hot I don't feel up to it. The mist attachment is a game changer. It truly makes such a difference in handling the heat outside. I love Shark products for their quality and ease of use. I have so many in my home, but was initially skeptical when I ordered this. So many brands claim their fans are quiet and are still super loud even on the lowest setting. I historically have purchased Vornado tower fans, and they are obnoxiously loud with poor air flow. But oh my GOSH this fan is quiet! It’s beyond quiet, it’s practically silent. There are so many features - adjustable angle with wider oscillation distance (up to 180°, so you can actually get full room air flow), quiet, nice and cool, but powerful air flow (even on the lowest setting), it can be used corded or CORDLESS (hello!) and can convert between tower and table top. It’s also great for both indoors and outdoors. Assembly was extremely easy, great quality and the base is very sturdy. Seriously, what is not to love about this fan? Wish they made this years ago; definitely cheaper than running the AC all day and night. Worth every single penny. I also recommend purchasing the fan cover to keep it clean when not in use during the off season. Very easy to get on and off and keeps your fan dust free. Starting off with the packaging, it arrived double boxed and each piece was secured and wrapped for safe travel. Assembly was very quick because the instruction manual was broken down into easy to follow steps. Battery life came to me 51% charged and took 3 hours to fully charge. The design is very sleek and easy to clean. Now onto performance! This fan is very versatile in that it can oscillate, tilt, become cordless and has a mister attachment for outdoor use. The fan housing is not very heavy however the base is which makes it very sturdy/stable. The fan has POWER, on its highest level you are getting blasted with air. It is nice and quiet up to level 3 in the home (barely notice it running). Level 4 and above you can hear the fan running but it's not as loud as a garage utility fan (if that makes sense). There's a very handy mini remote that magnetically attaches to the back of the fans housing (which is great for storage). My favorite part is the oscillating and tilting feature that can be used even in cordless mode. Now to the downside of this purchase. For the hefty price tag on this unit the only accessory to came with my fan was the outdoor mister attachment. I would have liked to see a cover for the fans housing and a car charging adaptor included as well. I understand these can be purchased seperately but I feel this should be included in the original purchase cost. The cover would prolong the sleek look and reduce dust build-up while not in use (during winter time or outdoor sun exposure). The car charging adaptor would make portability of this fan on road trips or to the beach that much easier. In conclusion, if you can splurge on something to help cool you down during those scorching summer months this versatile and powerful fan will make you happy. ... show more

I think the fan is excellent. It does say 24 hour charge that is not true but all in all it is a great product little pricey just started using it for about a week or two and have been very satisfied so far.

This has been an extremely long and hot summer! I have very bad asthma and I need the rooms I am in to be cool at all times so I can breathe easily. As hot as it's been, the air conditioning was struggling to keep my house cool so I needed an extra fan to help with that. Seeing as show Shark usually has such a good reputation, I ordered this fan. When it arrived and I set it up it worked pretty good. It had a great breeze to it and it did help with the room temperature and my breathing. I had problems with the fan shutting off like it was on a timer from the get go. I attempted everything I could find to try and find a timer on the fan or set it to run continuously. Nothing worked. The fan would sometimes shut off six or seven times within a 10 minute period then run for several hours before shutting off again. Eventually, after about a month and a half, the fan stopped working completely. It doesn't work on battery or being plugged in. All the troubleshooting in the world can't save this fan. I need something dependable and this fan just isn't it. I bought it on June 18th and it stopped working in mid-August. Such a waste of money. This makes me not trust the Shark brand as much as I used to. ... show more

I HATE fans but my husband loves them. I just opened this fan up and set it up and I’m shocked at how silent it is at the lowest setting yet still very powerful. I cannot hear it on the lowest setting but I can still feel it from 5 feet away. The highest setting is INTENSE. I am pretty sure I can function on the middle setting as it is so quiet. The portability of it off the charger is great for doing projects around the house and needing the cool air. I HATE fans, but 15 minutes into having this in my home and I have no complaints at all. My husband gets his fan and I get to sleep without noise. ... show more
