Bought this for a covered patio. It puts out lots of heat, but you need to be within 4-5 feet if it is really cold or very windy Portable, easy to assemble. Works well. Other comments about keeping the pilot lit are correct, it is a little touchy, but if you are patient and hold the pilot gas until the pilot flame warms up it will stay lit. We will likely add a second to replate a tall upright heater. We've had it for a few months and are pleased.

I love it it worked perfect in my studio apartment heated up on those cold days, just one thing after two months the igniter for the pilot stop working but it doesn’t bother me to turn it on with a barbecue later. A full tank on high last about 24 hours the middle setting handles about 36 hours and the lowest setting handles about 60 hours really warms up your place.

Great heater. We're using it in the big tent during a late fall camping/hunting trips. Various temperature output option is terrific: you can crank it up for a fast warm up early morning or before bed, then feel warm and cozy with heater on "1" all night long. Heater has heat deflector at the bottom of the elements, so it protecting surface underneath from overheating - nice feature. It is stable and sturdy. Wheels alow you to readjust it's position easily without lifting it. Real happy with this choice. Hope it will keep us warm and comfortable for years ;-) Definitely recomend. Editing (January 2024) Still own and use this heater. It's functioning well through the years, including multiple camping trips (+ transporting it over some really bumpy roads) and endless chill evenings on the patio. Love it! Even bought another one for our friends as a gift, which they using happily and often.

I bought this heater in Oct. & by Dec. I was having trouble getting it to switch from pilot to burn/heat. I've done EVERYTHING, from taping EVERY connection to insure no air leaks, to BRAND new tank, to everything anyone suggested to make it work again (it was not due to cold temps as it was not that cold out & in the beginning when it was colder it worked). It worked a cpl more times after I taped every gas connection & then SAME wouldn't let me switch it from pilot to burn/heat. Figured it was getting air but pilot burns great & you can see it start to glow but even after holding the pilot for OVER 2 MINUTES it STILL would NOT go to the burn/heat.. but the pilot doesn't heat your woodshop. In the beginning WHEN it did work it heated up my woodshop great & I loved that it was a cabinet heater which made it take less space n a small woodshop. I want my money back. It LITERALLY worked for ONE MONTH & the last 3 months I have been trying to get it to work. NOT WORTH the headache or now the trouble to return the piece of garbage. Tina B

The media could not be loaded. This heater is very easy to start, change tanks, etc. It is our only source of heat in FL... we used to use plug in electric heaters that draw quite a bit of power however they never warmed the place up as quickly and consistently as this propane powered heater does. There are 3 levels of heat.
