The Vitaler Memory Foam Rowing Machine Seat Cushion has been an excellent addition to my rowing setup. I’ve owned my rowing machine for a little over a year, and one consistent issue was discomfort during my workouts. The hard seat would often leave my whole backside up to the middle of my back sore, which made it difficult to fully enjoy my workouts. I had considered purchasing a cushion for some time but hesitated because I didn’t want the hassle of constantly adjusting or repositioning it during my whole workout session. I finally decided to move forward and get the Vitaler Memory Foam Rowing Machine seat cushion and I’m glad I did. The padding is thick and provides a substantial layer of comfort between you and the hard rower seat. It uses a 3 inch high quality, medical grade memory foam that maintains its shape and support throughout the entire workout rather than compressing flat over time. The design is also very practical. Adjustable straps on each end secure the cushion to the seat. There’s silicone micro dots on the bottom of the cushion that grip to the seat to help prevent shifting. At 220 lbs, my main concern was that the cushion would slide around during use, forcing me to stop and readjust it repeatedly. Fortunately, the combination of the adjustable straps and grip material works extremely well. After multiple workouts, the cushion has remained securely in place without needing any adjustments. Another aspect worth mentioning is the build quality. The materials feel durable, the stitching is tight and clean, and the overall construction appears to be designed for long term use. In many reviews I try to suggest something that could be improved, but in this case there’s honestly nothing I would change. The materials, design, and functionality all serve a clear purpose and work together well. If you use a rowing machine regularly and want to improve comfort during your workouts, I highly recommend the Vitaler Memory Foam Rowing Machine Seat Cushion. So from the seller photos I'm thinking they don't know what a rowing machine is. I'm here to tell you that you may or may not want the object itself, but the footprint exactly matches the cutout of the official thin stick-on Concept2 grey pad on my (much upgraded) Model C. The pad is more or less as described. The little nubs on the bottom aren't as grippy as expected, but the elastic straps hold it in place well and don't get in the way of the slide. I'm still not sure I like it, but that's not really a flaw in the product. As a reviewer I just figured I'd give it a shot, but you're here looking for the thing. It is very thick, and looking at it I thought it would change my seat height more, but the memory foam compresses a ton, so you end up feeling "locked in" at the usual level rather than "floating" above the seat. It definitely changes the usual stroke experience a little, but not in a bad way, and when I did my last marathon, I ended up sitting on some washcloths for padding... I can see how something like this would have been useful in that scenario. That's how I plan to use it- occasionally for long slow distance days. I thought it would make me hotter, but no issues there. It's not inherently cooling, just doesn't really feel different either way. It didn't come with any cleaning instructions, but the pillow has a zipper, so I'm thinking I'm going to wrap the foam in a layer of vapor barrier and can then clean the cover with yoga mat cleaner, hand wash if it gets gross. If it were my own money I might cross-shop the silicone pads that have more comprehensive reviews from Dark Horse and the like, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with this as long as you understand that it's like sitting on/sinking into any other pure memory foam pad. No stars off, because this all is entirely a matter of taste.
