  • Excellent Flail Mower
Color: Orange Size: 48''
Thank you MechMaxx!!! This flail mower is an absolute Hoss and a great value! The build quality is very nice and it took some seriously rough terrain and tamed it. I mounted it to a MF GC2300 and the tractor had no trouble powering this flail mower even though it's considered a compact tractor. The only recommendation I have is that the bearings for the rear roller were installed so that they were difficult to grease because the zirk fittings were on the inside. I just flipped them and can now reach the fittings w/out having to raise the mower and be a contortionist. Other than that, this thing is a great value and has done a great job. We feel it has been a far superior option to a rotary mower given our rocky and heavily bushed terrain. ... show more

Worked GREAT till it broke after 12 hours. Update!!!! It wasn’t broken. It was operator error!!! I’ve used used it several times since and was so impressed by the help they gave me I went ahead and ordered the stump grinder I’d been thinking about. Thanks guys. Super machine and terrific advice!

  • Very good, but not perfect. Still a good buy.
Color: Orange Size: 60''
Great for the price, but a few Quality control issues keep it from being 5 stars. I didn't find any assemble instructions, but it's easy enough to figure out. You just need to assemble the A-frame and add oil and grease. You can put the A-frame off-set right or left, but either side the frame doesn't want to sit flat where the wholes line up because the welds are a bit fat (or the brace is too big). Just a little gap on one of the 4 bolt connection. There was some welding slag in one of the feet's adjusting bolt holes that needed to be drilled out. Adjusted everything to the highest point to start out and that seems good for cutting the lawn. Used on a Mahindra 1626 shuttle shift 25hp tractor. Not the best for tall and thick grass unless you go slow. At speed but will cut a nice lawn and still chop-up sticks into mulch at a good pace. ... show more

  • Good price, and fast delivery. Questionable quality in manufacture.
Color: Orange Size: 48''
I bought this machine after seeing it on YouTube. It is an excellent buy. I'm having a slight problem with an oil leak at the bottom of the gear box. It is an irritant, but MechMaxx seems willing to see to a repair. Nice people at MechMaxx, and I have confidence in them. The machine was delivered about two weeks before expected. Update 07.09.2026: I contacted MechMaxx shortly after writing my first review, concerning the oil leak from the transmission box. With their instructions, through email, I've taken the machine apart, and have reached a point that I can no longer work on it. I still am unable to find the leak, and, not being a technician for MechMaxx, I'm at the end of my tether. I'm not sure if I can return the machine, but I'm definitely not pleased with the outcome of my purchase. What will happen? We'll see. ... show more

  • Don’t judge a book by its cover!
Color: Green Size: 60''
Buyer Beware! Yes, much like all of us - review, read about a product. Look at countless videos - contemplate buying the flail mower - it is an investment no doubt, compare all the different types, sizes, weight and think about it some more. However, it’s a piece of equipment. I’ve always wanted to have on my farm to take care of the overgrown fields and beat back the invasive species along our field edges So I finally decided to purchase the Mech Max EFS 60. The color really doesn’t matter, but I chose green to match on Deere tractor. The shipping company was great, open up the container it was shipped in and reveal a truly beautiful machine. Now you may ask why I say one star? As we all know, you can’t judge a book by its cover. I had read that you need to check every single bolt on the piece of equipment from someone else’s review and they were correct! 70% of the bolts on the machine were not tight in fact just about every single bolt needed to be tightened in some small way. The directions for assembly are technically nonexistent. In fact for a heavy piece of equipment, the directions well they’re really aren’t any. Fortunately, remember all the reviews and videos I watched I made my way through. Now comes the fun part. Directions, it’s fair to say the directions are nominal at best. Technically not descriptive on overall assembly. Thankfully, I remember seeing a lot of reviews and videos on what to do. So after an hour of tightening every bolt and having to change wrench and socket sizes to accommodate the machine, it was time to add gear oil to the gearbox. Remember those directions I mentioned, there’s no information provided in on exactly how much fluid is required. Mind you they do mention to take the overflow valve out until the oil reaches that point. Sort of a poking hope a man of gear Oil is what you’re adding. So I finally attach the machine to my John Deere tractor and the three-point hitch, proceed to pick the machine up and to my surprise and horror the gear oil begins leaking out of both the gearbox and the transmission shaft. OK now we got a problem. Put the machine back down that I miss tightening bolts? Now comes the fun part Customer Service for Mech Max. Contact Amazon, which I may add as always or 10 stars to put you in touch with the company. So I sent an email through Amazon site to the company and sit back and wait for a reply. For all of you out there,Mech Max Customer Service through email is based in China. There is a 12 hour time difference to get a reply which I did get so when you go to bed at night that may be the time you get an answer if you sent it that morning. Their Customer Service wanted me to provide them photographs of the machine, where the gear oil was leaking from, the picture of the nameplate and model number, etc. I did all of that as requested. I’ve included some of the photos for you to see as well. As I mentioned the machine is a good looking piece of equipment, but the companies Customer Service requested me to transport a 600 pound machine to a qualified technician to have the gearbox gasket and transmission O-ring replaced and they would reimburse me after the fact. Think about that for a second everybody, I am mechanically challenged, and we all know, taking apart a gearbox and transmission shaft can be problematic. I know this seems long-winded, so were the emails between myself and the company for Customer Service totaling about 16. After about the eighth email I had requested just to return the product because it was not going to be cost effective for all the time in labor to try and get a brand new product fixed that was never used. Mech Max refused to originally accept the equipment back, they wanted me to repair it. Finally, and after multiple requests, they allowed me to return the product to their warehouse located in United States. Once again for the record,Mech Max Customer Service offered me new belts, hammers, a partial discount refund, and or a discount once they finally agreed to accept the machine back on a future purchase if I thought I would like to take the chance again. Well, as you all know, and could probably guess, once they receive the machine back all of those wonderful offers, they were mentioning throughout the emails - they never happened So again, it looks like a great piece of equipment, but looks can be deceiving. So if you want to take a chance, and hope the product you received isn’t defective for manufacturing take a stab at it. If for any reason you need to contact their customer service department be prepared for that 12 hour time difference getting a reply probably somewhere in China. And when they start promising you the world, we all know how that normally turns out Good luck to all. I know it’s a tough decision on a major investment and I may be just the one that had a problem with a defective piece of equipment. Are you willing to take that chance yourself? ... show more

  • What an attachment!
Color: Orange Size: 48''
This thing has been wonderful! My tractor has a 18hp pto so I was worried if that would be enough. It works perfectly. I’ve mowed some pretty gnarly stuff with it and have had no problems so far. I’ve run it all summer. It’s easy to use and to setup. It’s the best thing I’ve bought for my tractor.
