Hitched up behind a tractor, the lawn sweeper brushes up leaves, grass, and even fine straw into a spacious hopper in 42-inch wide swathes. Easy to use and requiring minimal maintenance, the lawn sweeper eliminates most debris with one pass.The lawn sweeper picks up remnants of yard work with the adjustable and replaceable brushes no more than a 1/2-inch into the grass. This sweeper has a sweep of 42”. The adjustable hopper provides up to 12 cubic feet for waste and collapses flat for compact storage. A windscreen prevents wind gusts from blowing swept debris and leaves back onto the ground. A rope handle on the sweeper allows users to dump contents from the tractor seat. The sweeper rides on two 11” x 2.5” semi-pneumatic tires. A hitch pin is included for quick tractor hook-up. The lawn sweeper only activates brushes while in forward movement and will not sweep while reversing. Manufactured in the USA, it comes with a limited three-year warranty. This product is working really well. We have a large property and this is making leaf management so much easier. We have several oak trees, and this product also picks up several of the acorns. Once the leaves are gone it is SO MUCH easier to pick up the acorns. Putting it together was a little more challenging than I thought it would be, but got it done. One small part was missing. Watch the assembly video! Watch the assembly video! Watch the assembly video! Did I happen to mention that you should WATCH THE ASSEMBLY VIDEO! I was impressed with the build quality of the unit coming out of the box. I ignored the assembly instructions, at least to begin with, since many of the reviews, which were mostly positive, complained about the assembly instructions. So, I went directly to the assembly video. It was quite helpful, although not 100% clear about everything. I do recommend watching it though. At one point, the video talked about inserting 'plastic plugs' into the bag frame to hold some of the tubes together. We simply could not find them, so in desperation I referenced the assembly instructions. They actually looked pretty good to me, although I was viewing them in the light of already watching the video and having the unit mostly assembled. It turns out that they upgraded these plastic plugs to steel clevis pins. I suspect that they plastic plugs weren't durable enough. By the time we were done assembling the unit, it was too late to test it, so my son and I raised the brushes to their highest setting to, avoid filling the bag with grass clippings, and he drove it to our storage location. Despite that, this thing was picking up clippings like crazy, so it really did seem to work. I'll update this review if it doesn't perform when we use it for real! ... show more

On a positive note, it arrived within 3 days. I am the type of person who doesn't need to read directions a lot. When I have to, its' a bad sign. The assembly of this unit is not the easiest. Since I don't put them together every day, it all looked Greek to me. First, the red and black marks on the brushes. They are marked clearly. What isn't is where they go. Right side, left side. Wouldn't it be just as easy, since they are marking things, to mark the drive shaft as well to match the colors? When the unit is upside down, which is the right or left side? What side to look at it from, the front or back? After several attempts of assembling and un-assembling this part, I can only hope I have it right. If marking this part means so much, make sure one can assemble it correctly. This assembly took about 2.5 hours. The directions, all in pictures as one can say a picture says a thousand words (not in this case), could be better. The assembly of the basket went well. Though if one can put something together upside down, it's me I guess. The top tube I of course put in upside down making the holes not match the top and bottom frame. Also the greasing and oiling of this unit. I can not see most home owners do this task. Though I have done it, and will continue to do it several times a year, I see this an issue. Couldn't one have a grease fitting put in there some where instead to tearing the wheels off to do it? So, as far as it working or not. Too much snow at this time to try it. Maybe in a week or so I will get it out and do the final adjusting and get it going. I really can't wait. Update: I used this for the first time yesterday. Sweet! One has to adjust the height of the brushed to the height of the drawbar you attach it to, but then it works like a dream. It didn't skip around at all. I used my 4 wheeler and drove all around in every pattern, criss-cross, straight, circles. When emptying it out, it wasn't one handed for me. No big deal. It is still easy. Then I just kicked the dead grass into the manure pile and kept coming back with more. It will decompose and make good compost. I would buy this again. ... show more

It saves hours of raking. This is the third season and it has held up well. No rips or holes in the fabric. It will pick up small sticks, pine cones, gravel & dog toys. On uneven ground it doesn’t pick up as well. Get the biggest one you can.
