Hitched up behind a tractor, the lawn sweeper brushes up leaves, grass, and even fine straw into a spacious hopper in 42-inch wide swathes. Easy to use and requiring minimal maintenance, the lawn sweeper eliminates most debris with one pass.The lawn sweeper picks up remnants of yard work with the adjustable and replaceable brushes no more than a 1/2-inch into the grass. This sweeper has a sweep of 42”. The adjustable hopper provides up to 12 cubic feet for waste and collapses flat for compact storage. A windscreen prevents wind gusts from blowing swept debris and leaves back onto the ground. A rope handle on the sweeper allows users to dump contents from the tractor seat. The sweeper rides on two 11” x 2.5” semi-pneumatic tires. A hitch pin is included for quick tractor hook-up. The lawn sweeper only activates brushes while in forward movement and will not sweep while reversing. Manufactured in the USA, it comes with a limited three-year warranty. This product is working really well. We have a large property and this is making leaf management so much easier. We have several oak trees, and this product also picks up several of the acorns. Once the leaves are gone it is SO MUCH easier to pick up the acorns. Putting it together was a little more challenging than I thought it would be, but got it done. One small part was missing. This is a great product and a huge timesaver. Putting it together is however a daunting task. The company has done everything they can do with detailed instructions and a video. I have every tool imaginable and mechanically inclined family members and it took 3 hours to complete it. If you are a who needs instructions person, don't even think about it, you will need therapy afterwards. One thing the company did was include every fastener you will need, and not one single more. If you have even a washer left over, you messed up. We have now used it to sweep about 5 acres of lawns and it works exactly as advertised. One thing to remember about lawn sweepers, they only go forwards, backing it up is a no-no. ... show more

Purchased this in July of 2018, this is now March of 2025. This thing worked excellently this whole time, until I thrashed it (yes my fault). It still works despite the fact that I backed this thing up and jack-knifed it. I would highly recommend this for yard work especially leaves (I do mow the leaves down to compact them first and this thing gets the bulk of them up. The Agri-Fab 45-0320 Tow-Behind Lawn Sweeper initially impressed with its 42-inch clearing width and large 12 cu. ft. hopper capacity, suggesting it could handle substantial yard work efficiently. The build quality felt reasonably sturdy for the price, and the concept of minimizing rake time was appealing. However, the performance proved to be heavily dependent on the ground conditions. To be perfectly clear, this sweeper would be absolutely perfect for a completely flat, golf-course-style lawn or paved area. On such surfaces, it picks up debris, leaves, and clippings reliably. The issues arose almost immediately when using it on my property, which has typical residential lawn variations and subtle bumps. This unit did not do well across varied terrain. Even slight undulations caused the brushes to lift, meaning the sweeper frequently missed entire swaths of leaves and debris because of these bumps. I often had to go over the same area multiple times, or adjust the hitch height manually on the fly, which defeated the purpose of a tow-behind tool. Given that the primary task of sweeping was not being executed consistently on my lawn type, I ultimately ended up returning the item because of this lack of adaptability to varied terrain. While I believe the product is well-made for its intended use—a smooth, level yard—it simply wasn't the right fit for the ground conditions I needed it to handle. Style: 42" Tow-Behind Lawn Sweeper
I generally don't write poor reviews, however, based on this product I need to warn others. I received this item to add to my lawn and landscape business. The problem started with the instructions. No instructions printed, just diagrams and poor one's at that. Difficult to identify what and where the nuts and bolts went and no narrative to help. The diagrams attempted 3D diagrams to little help. The box had a couple of key pins and bolts missing, but I was able to go ahead with my own from pieces I had on hand. I could not figure out why the "hopper" kept hitting the wheels when pushed forward. After 4 calls and 3 calls received from tech support it was determined a support bar needed to be slid into a pocket across the bottom of the hopper. This remedy fixed the problem but looking at the instructions it was nowhere to be found. Next, getting the fabric hopper attached to the rest of the sweeper. Clearances' were so tight I needed to ask assistance from a neighbor to get the fabric of the hopper onto the aluminum frame. The next step was unbelievable so I checked and checked and it was found to be a need. The instructions directed that a hole be cut into the fabric on the lower side of each end. The hole was to be about 1/4 to 1/2 inches into the edge of the fabric. A pin with slip went through the hole and was held in place by the cotter pin. The area where the hole was terribly thin and the nearby edge was not re in forced so I am sure it would unravel in no time, that and there was such a tight stress, it was immanent for both sides. After piecing this sweeper together it felt very flimsy but I went with it. I arrived at the site and performed my de thatching. After approximately 20 minutes of sweeping, the inevitable happened. Not at the sites I earlier predicted, but at the border where the hopper seam held the channel of the aluminum frame began to unravel. That was it for me. Now I have been at retailer's such as Sears and Ace Hardware and Agri Fab is the predominant brand of this kind of tool. But I say the hopper was made of very cheap material (very similar to a cheap tarp which would disintegrate if left in the sun). The one star I gave this item was for the courtesy of the tech support person "Mike". He was patient, polite and professional. No go for my money. I will pay double for a good quality machine, however I have no lawn sweeper at this time. ... show more
