We bought this leaf sweeper 5 years ago when we moved into a property with acreage and many, many large trees. Every leaf season, the lawn, driveway, and every other flat area gets covered in almost a foot of leaves. At first, we weren't sure how well this leaf sweeper would handle the massive amount of leaves or how well it would last over all the use it gets. DELIVERY: The first impression of any ordered product is the packaging. This sweeper box weighed 90 pounds and all the items were packed loosely so that when it was lifted and moved everything rattled. Fortunately, everything arrived undamaged but if the heavy box had been dropped it could have been a big problem. ASSEMBLY: The instructions were easy to understand and the tool list was adequate but I'd recommend similar size sockets in addition to the wrenches. The illustrations in the instructions did not always match the words so use the written instructions as they were correct. I completed it by myself in about 2 hours but a helper would certainly be beneficial with the bagger frame. I also attached the de-thatcher rail which was easy but time consuming attaching all the tines. If you use the de-thatcher there is a step to place the transport hook on the existing sweeper hitch brackets AFTER you've already assembled the 4 bolts and hitch together. I would recommend when you get to Figure 3 assembling the sweeper hitch brackets that you leave ALL the bolts loose if you plan to add the de-thatcher. USE: The sweeper works very well as I was able to get grass clippings off the driveway which was great. I have a 52" zero turn mower that works well to drag this sweeper around almost 1/2 acre of yard. Going around the house and trees with lots of obstacles it was still easy to maneuver. The sweeper works great but with a full bag of grass I could not use the rope to dump the bag as it was too heavy. I had to unload part by hand prior to dumping. So maybe it works too well! With only leaves I'm sure it will be easy enough to lift. The frame seems well constructed but the bag material seems like it will not last. The unit folds up and it stores easily in a small shed. Both products advertise a 3 year warranty. SERVICE: I did have one rather unexpected problem. After only the second use the Hitch Pin (Cotter pin) either worked its way loose or got snagged and removed from the hitch pin. This caused the hitch pin to come out of the hitch and the entire unit to tumble end over end. The hardware was lost and the upper hopper frame bar was bent. I had everything assembled properly (confirmed by tech support) and was going the proper speed. When I called customer support I was immediately connected to a person (Sandy) who was very polite, professional and knowledgeable about the products. She quickly handled my problem by recording the missing/damaged part numbers and initiated the order for the parts. You never expect problems with brand new items but when you do it’s nice to know the company stands by its product and honors the warranty. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The first time we used it we could not believe how much extra clippings were picked up from our yard! It is very efficient, easy to clean by simply blowing it out with the leaf blower and it is worth the money! On our yard we run it in the 1/2 inch setting. Our yard has gotten healthier. Can’t wait to see how our yard transforms in the spring! Putting it together was labor intensive. The directions that came with it was hard to follow. I recommend just YouTubing how to put this together and save yourself A LOT of time. Storage capacity could be better is a little difficult for us because we have it laid up against our shelving in the garage and it definitely takes up room. In the video it shows how you unload it. If it gets too full it may be a little heavy but if you put a little muscle into it, it will get the job done! We love it! We have had so much fun with this and we will continue to use it on our yard! The functionality of this lawn sweeper is great! ... show more

I order the Agri-Fab Lawn Sweeper because it has high ratings for picking up grass and leaves. However, I returned it the same day I assembled it because the hopper (the grass collecting bag) ripped within 30 minutes of using it! When I first opened the parts box, I was surprised that the hopper is made from very thin plastic, with no reinforcement on the edges or seams. The assembly directions are minimal, and if I hadn't assembled a lawn sweeper in the past, I would have had a difficult time figuring out the parts and the steps. I had to purchase a 1/4" metal drill bit to open the holes in the upper and lower hopper frame parts because they didn't align for the clevis pin to go through. The metal frame of the Agri-Fab Lawn Sweeper seems very sturdy, but the hopper bag is a piece of junk. I called the Agri-Fab company to see if they made a more durable hopper bag, and they don't! Don't waste your time with this lawn sweeper. I am returning it to Amazon and have to take the whole thing apart to get the pieces back in the box! ... show more

Works really well! Assembly is not hard but takes some time. Arrange all parts on flat surface with like parts grouped together. Go slow follow instructions and don't tighten until the end. You need sockets and ratchet in addition to wrenches. Ours came with all the parts with not even one left over. The snap ends don't reach but maybe will in time and with warmer weather. Get the hitch height and hook up to mower/tractor correct and make wheel adjustments erring on side of brushes too high and then adjust lower. On first use be sure the bag is not dragging. The hitch works fine as outlined in instructions but there are some tweaks that may work depending on the height of your tractor/mower receiver. Don't pull it too fast ..3MPHish. This is a consumer grade product. If you need extra heavy duty commercial grade you will need more money and a different product. Don't expect the bag to last forever. If you get a few seasons out of the bag you may need a replacement. The parts availability network looks positive. Very happy to have found this. I have had the Agri-fab dump cart for several years and it is a great product as well. UPDATE: Has worked flawlessly for over two years. Removed removed wheels to lubricate and very little wear was noticed. Great product! Super time saver!! ... show more
