DELIVERY: The first impression of any ordered product is the packaging. This sweeper box weighed 90 pounds and all the items were packed loosely so that when it was lifted and moved everything rattled. Fortunately, everything arrived undamaged but if the heavy box had been dropped it could have been a big problem. ASSEMBLY: The instructions were easy to understand and the tool list was adequate but I'd recommend similar size sockets in addition to the wrenches. The illustrations in the instructions did not always match the words so use the written instructions as they were correct. I completed it by myself in about 2 hours but a helper would certainly be beneficial with the bagger frame. I also attached the de-thatcher rail which was easy but time consuming attaching all the tines. If you use the de-thatcher there is a step to place the transport hook on the existing sweeper hitch brackets AFTER you've already assembled the 4 bolts and hitch together. I would recommend when you get to Figure 3 assembling the sweeper hitch brackets that you leave ALL the bolts loose if you plan to add the de-thatcher. USE: The sweeper works very well as I was able to get grass clippings off the driveway which was great. I have a 52" zero turn mower that works well to drag this sweeper around almost 1/2 acre of yard. Going around the house and trees with lots of obstacles it was still easy to maneuver. The sweeper works great but with a full bag of grass I could not use the rope to dump the bag as it was too heavy. I had to unload part by hand prior to dumping. So maybe it works too well! With only leaves I'm sure it will be easy enough to lift. The frame seems well constructed but the bag material seems like it will not last. The unit folds up and it stores easily in a small shed. Both products advertise a 3 year warranty. SERVICE: I did have one rather unexpected problem. After only the second use the Hitch Pin (Cotter pin) either worked its way loose or got snagged and removed from the hitch pin. This caused the hitch pin to come out of the hitch and the entire unit to tumble end over end. The hardware was lost and the upper hopper frame bar was bent. I had everything assembled properly (confirmed by tech support) and was going the proper speed. When I called customer support I was immediately connected to a person (Sandy) who was very polite, professional and knowledgeable about the products. She quickly handled my problem by recording the missing/damaged part numbers and initiated the order for the parts. You never expect problems with brand new items but when you do it’s nice to know the company stands by its product and honors the warranty. ... show more

This lawn sweeper does a great job. I am over seeding my lawn. The first step is to dethatch and scarify. This sweeper picked up the debris perfectly. I mounted a length of PVC pipe on the frame of my mower into which I place the home-made "handle" that I attached to the end of the dump rope. This fixes two issues that other reviewers mentioned. That the rope is hard to pull to empty sweeper and that it's a mess if the rope gets wound up in the spinning sweeper part. Problems solved! I haven't had any issues with it at all. ... show more

I ordered this sweeper to clean out under pecan trees to make it easier to pick up pecans. I have 16 pecan trees and have cleaned up under all of them. The sweeper adjusts high for leaves and low for debris on the ground. It picked up almost all of last years bad pecans as well as small sticks and other debris. It does such a good job that I had to dump the bag frequently but that's a good thing. Assembly was a bit tedious as the instructions were somewhat difficult to follow but I had all the parts and got it together correctly the first time. One design that could be better is that there is a seam along the bottom back edge of the bag. When the bag is empty it stays up, but when full the back edge slides along the ground. There is a protector over the seam but mine pulled off after several loads. It won't be long before it pulls the seam out. I'm considering putting some slides underneath it to stop the wear. Other than these couple of little things, I am very happy with the sweeper and impressed with how much it picks up. ... show more

Product does work OK but very disappointed when they advertise made in USA and then the product comes with maide in China stickers on it. It does say with global materials, but to me if you’re sourcing metal or something like that and then actually manufacturing the product here that would be made in USA, but when there are stickers right on it made in China it makes me believe that it is not made in the USA, but rather made in China. I typically rake 3 acres of yard and pasture each mowing season. Primarily use the grass as garden mulch, tossing additional onto a large compost pile each year. This unit arrived at 9am one morning and was assembled in roughly 4 hours after I meticulously followed the directions in the assembly manual. All parts were included. I re-used the hitch mechanism which I removed from the 20 yr old Craftsmen yard rake, which this unit is replacing. The two simple plates included with this unit - makes for an extremely wobbly or too tight fitting cluster****. That is poorly engineered. Some of the bolts included in this assembly look to be too small diameter to last very long, but we'll see. Several of them were either barely long enough or much too long (like the two bolts used to affix the hand adjustable height lever on the front/right side of the machine. Both of those bolts would have scraped the front left inside tire at a few settings. I ground about 3/8th's of an inche of thread off each bolt and the clearance is much better now. Another nit-picky engineering nuisance. Their hitch solution is really poorly thought out, if I had not had a better solution readily available, I would have been quite upset. However, when it is properly leveled behind a powerful garden tractor, it will pick up 80 of wet cut grass clippings as noted in the photo above. That grass had been cut 3 days prior to this machine arriving and had been rained on for 2 of those days. I'm confident this machine will shine, picking up drier grass and leaves. Will it last 20 years like the unit it is replacing? Check with me in 2030 for an update. ... show more
