  • GREAT MOWER SUPER WELL PACKED AND SHIPPED
Size: 48''
MOWER WAS SUPER WELL PACKED IN A STEEL FRAME AND ALL PARTS SECURED WITH WIRE-BEST HEAVY SHIPPING PALLET I HAVE EVER SEEN. YOU DO NOT NEED TO CUT FRAME, JUST UNDO SOME BOLTS AND LIFT OFF UPPER FRAME- GETTING MOWER OUT OF LOWER FRAME NEEDED HELP WITH OUR TRACTOR BUCKET TO LIFT. NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS BUT ALL BOLTS ARE ALREADY IN PLACE SO FAIRLY EASY ASSEMBLY FROM PARTS SCHEMATIC- THIS IS NOT AN IKEA ASSEMBLY WITH A BAG OF PARTS. OVERALL A QUALITY ITEM WITH GREAT SHIPPING- IF YOU ARE AT ALL MECHANICAL AND HAVE A WAY TO JACK/LIFT THE HEAVY MOWER DECK GO FOR IT. ... show more

  • Excellent value and functions very well for my intended use.
Size: 48''
The price point was great, it is constructed very well and it is doing admirably well at the job I bought it for. Now you also have to consider that I bought it to use like a shredder (bush hog) and it is designed to be a finish mower. We live in the country on 5 rocky, rolling, oak brush covered acres. This mower, due to its substantial wheels follows along behind my tractor like a billy goat cutting everything up to 3/4” or so in diameter. The 4 wheels keep the blades above the rocks, pocket gopher mounds and unlevel ground and, on the bit of lawn we have, mows quite well. I have seriously abused it mowing oak brush and it keeps on ticking. I would buy again! ... show more

  • Good Value, good customer support, few small details manufacturer/seller needs to pay attention to.
Size: 72''
The media could not be loaded. I'm very happy with this mower, it's a good value for the money, and it seems well made. I got the FM180 and have been running it with my 36 HP gear drive Mahindra model 3616 Shuttle (Cat 1). It cuts beautifully, is smooth, and negotiates terrain very well front to back and side to side on hilly surfaces. Delivery and assembly provided some challenges though which is why 4 stars. For performance alone and I would rate this mower 5 stars. A few things to note: 1. Mine arrived with minor damage in shipping (not fault of the seller). The steel shipping frame was set on a wood pallet and it shifted partway off the pallet allowing one blade to rest on the pallet and bear the weight of the mower on that side. This bent that blade. Also, one tire was nicked and a small chunk taken out, again, I think fault of the shipper. 2. The assembly instructions are a little vague and pictures of key components are tiny. Each sub-section of the assembly had pretty detailed drawings but the actual assembly sections just basically said “put it together”. The assy instructions are a little different from my model. My unit has nuts for wheel arms welded to the underside of the deck, however the instructions show the bolts go through the underside of the deck up through the wheel arms with nuts screwing down from top. Torque values don't seem correct for the wheel arm to deck bolts. 165 ft lbs is specified but the wheel arms just started deforming at about 120 ft lbs, so I didn't go any further. This is not because the wheel arms are cheap or thin, they are substantial at least 3/16 or more-inch square tubing, so the stated torque values are way high here. Also, the assy instructions show several places where there should be a washer on both the head and nut side of the bolts for the lift attachment arms. Mine was missing the second washer on all four of these connections, fortunately I had spares on hand. 3. The lift pins provided for the lower lift arms are not Cat 1 or Cat 0 (no idea what's going on here). Again, like the missing washers, I had spare lift pins so not a big deal for me. 4. My top-link was too short to connect to the top lift point on the mower (where the four deck lift arms come together) so I had to buy a 36-inch Cat 2 top-link and use Cat 2 to Cat 1 bushings on both ends. This is not the fault of the seller, it’s just that the way the lower lift arms connect to the extended hitch pins sets the mower about 6 inches further away from the tractor, so a longer top-link was needed (your mileage may vary depending on your particular tractor set-up). 5. Customer support is responsive and excellent and they promptly shipped a replacement tire and blade, I just sent them pics of damage. I straightened the bent blade but I'll replace it when the new one arrives. None of these were show stoppers for me since I'm handy at fixing practically everything around the farm as most farmers are. If your one of those people that can't function without technology or don't know one end of a wrench from the other then I'd pass on this or get someone to do the hard thinking and assemble it for you. ... show more

  • Solid Product, and good vendor.
Size: 60''
beyond a slight glitch with a damaged PTO shaft that was quickly resolved to my complete satisfaction, the product is sturdy, easy to assemble and setup for use, and tackled my admittedly overgrown field. I used to use a basic brush hog, but after many years of eliminating weeds and other growth, I wanted the grass to have a more uniform look after cutting. Not always easy with a brush hog if your terrain is uneven, but pretty easy with the four wheels keeping the deck at a uniform height. I am pleased with this mower. But because I don't always keep on top of the grass height, I may investigate the possibility of swapping the stock blades with mulching blades. ... show more
