We absolutely love these! I had paid someone to install these, so I was a bit disappointed when the delivery date for one, I ordered two, was going to be delayed. However, the customer service responded to me immediately and adequately solved my issue, excellent customer service. We ordered these based on reviews and the affordable pricing alone. The quality of these shades exceeded our expectations. They are very well made, and quite sturdy. My yard gets extremely windy, so I was hesitant to open it on a particularly windy day, but it handled it no problem. It provides cover from the wind, while also providing shade and privacy. Plus, they look great! Like I said, we love them and would highly recommend. Oh and I mentioned having someone to install, he said it was so easy to install, it only took a very short time.

My brick exterior home faces north, with my back porch on the south west corner of the house. In Texas in the summer, the back patio is a literal brick oven. I got the porch expanded and the patio covered, and that helped a lot. Then, in early March, we were sitting outside as the sun started to go down. I have a high fence and a fairly low patio cover (comparatively), but still, there was a gap between the eave of the patio cover and the fence. In MARCH, the porch was uninhabitable for the hour and a half that the sun was creeping down toward the fenceline. My patio cover is slanted (like the roof of the home), and the patio is 14'x14'. Several of my neighbors have retractable roller shades made of solar screen material but their patio eave is parallel to the ground and mine is not. Also, 14' wide solar shades are available, but exorbitantly expensive and have a very long manufacturing lead time. I was pretty close to just getting bamboo roller blinds when I encountered this. This is deceptively easy to put up. There are two brackets to hold the side of the mount, and the shade slides in to that and is secured with set screws. We took like an hour going over the instructions and the parts, and about 15 minutes with the drill and screws. We did not mount the post for a couple of reasons. One is that we mounted it toward the top of the eave (because that's where we needed the barrier) and also we mounted it (intentionally) upside down, because the people who need access to the shade can't reach it if it's the other way around, although I don't think that impedes the operation of it in any way. We might mount the post later, but for now when we open it we just secure it to the catio with bungee cords and it works fine. The only thing we've had to give as a heads-up to anyone is that when you are retracting it you have to be VERY careful to do so evenly, otherwise it won't close entirely. Beyond that, it's been perfect, and that adjustment took about 5 minutes. One thing to note, when the sun is pounding on the shade, you can feel some heat about a foot "inside" the shade, but that isn't a problem with the shade, that's physics and thermodynamics. Our table is a couple of feet inside the shade anyway, so it's not an issue. We will see how the rest of the summer plays out; if I end up needing an additional one, I'm definitely getting one by this manufacturer.

Failed to include installation hardware or instructions. Response from the manufacturer was unsatisfactory. They wanted me to send a photo of the missing parts. Pretty hard to do when they never sent any installation parts.
