This is a GREAT addition to my deck, I've bought Gazebo's over the years that did not make it a season. So i been looking at this for almost a year, reading all the reviews, and bit the bullet. Before I even opened it when it came, I saw that a lot of the reviews said the directions were not the best so I looked up Videos and planned my attact. With the help of a Friend ( You do need a extra Person )we were able to put it up, with some slight issues. One thing to remember to open ALL Packages FIRST and lay everything out. Make sure you put the Roller on the main bar before putting it all together. Unlike I did ! So far so good, i just roll it back when we are finished with it so the wind does not take it.     • This is a fantastic awning but assembly can be difficult.

The awning is really well made. This is our second 12x10ft MCombo awning and assembly can be confusing but with patience not too difficult. I used fiberglass wire pull rods to pull the cables through the canopy which makes that chore much easier, still not fun but easier. Other than assembley this is a great awning for the price and I would highly recommend it. Without decent tools and patience assembly can be difficult. ... show more

I was really excited about ordering this item. I was quickly disappointed. Once it arrived, I went to work quickly to get this installed. I didn’t realize that when I opened up the box, I was opening a box of holy hell. The reviews did state that the instructions were very vague and really not helpful. They were not lying. It was suggested to pull up the YouTube video. I did and it was somewhat helpful but didn’t get me to the “ready to install” point. So … here I am. Start putting all the parts together then I realize that the slider bracket( photo reference) they sent absolutely would not slide into the slot for the arms. If you see this bracket, if you decide to order this after my review, do yourself a favor and send it back immediately. I quickly called the customer service number in order to see if they could send me the correct brackets. SURPRISE. That number is no longer a working number. I made a trip to Lowes to see if they had a similar item that would work. They didn’t. I actually had to grind the bracket down to make it thinner and remove the lip before it would even go in. On the large piece of the fabric, note that one small cord and one of the larger cords go in. I wasted time by putting both of the large ones on. Once we finally got this installed (8 hours later) the moment of truth was here. We rolled it out and one of the arms was drooping down, which cause the canopy to droop on one side. So Yet another trip to Lowes was in store to buy 4x4 post to help brace the canopy up. At this point and after all the time invested and the holes we drilled into our brick, there was absolutely no way we were not going to utilize this thing somehow. Got the post cut to size to brace both sides (photo attached) and was pretty excited that after all the hell that was brought with purchasing this item, it was now to where we could use it. Then, THEN…. We noticed that whoever stitched this canopy must have done it at 4:55 PM on a Friday and this canopy slipped through the Quality control. There is a section that is not double stitched (see photo). This won’t cause an immediate problem but it does mess with the quality of the product and will most likely end up with a split canopy before too long. The easiest things about this item was ordering and opening the box. As my title says….Save Yourself. ... show more

Get an extra set of hands to put together and install. i did put it together by myself but had no help to mount it under eve of house above back patio so i rigged a winch and pulley combo to raise it up to height of 7-1/2'. It says at least 8' but 7-1/2 will work. I wanted it under eve so its completely protected when rolled in. i also mounted an extra header board 3/4" x 8"x12' to house then installed mounting brackets through it using wood lag bolts and the side of house. My house has slanted wood siding so had to work around and solve that issue. You can adjust the pitch up or down from factory setting but doesnt go up as much as it will downward, Fully adjusted upward i have about 7' clearance fully extended. Doesnt do well with high winds so made two support poles out of pvc tubing that i lock in the front from ground that can be removed or installed in about 5 mins if needed. If youre willing to tweek it here and there and take the time to solve problems its a great finished product for the price. ... show more

Easy to install. Worst part was running the tubes through the fabric. Over all pretty easy project. My daughter and I put it up in 5 hours with one mistake we made.

Purchased this because of the color and size. Very poor instructions is putting it mildly! We unpackaged all parts to lay out to assemble, only to find out they sent us either 2 part # A-1s or 2 A-2s! Could not even assemble the biggest parts to the connector. Had to contact company via email. They did send correct parts. Delay in assembly was very inconvenient. Plus, there are parts included that are not even mentioned in the instructions. Highly advise to look up installation videos on internet. Hubby was ready to trash this awning. Prepare to be frustrated and better have lots of patience. ... show more
