  • Perfect for a home gym
Color: White
Great bench. Very sturdy, very mobile, very easy to use and assemble. The leg attachment actually work extremely well and hold up to heavy weight very well.

  • very good bench, especially for the money
Color: White
I bought the “Fitness Gear Pro Squat Rack” from Dicks and “Marcy Impex Powder Coated Steel Home Gym Adjustable Weight Bench ” from amazon (that bench appeared to be the same as the “Marcy Deluxe Utility Weight Bench ” from Dicks but for half the price). The reviews seemed to be the same between the 2 benches with the most common complaints being the bench wobbled/was loose and some said that assembly was not easy. For reference, I have lifted free weights since before I played football at Iowa State, am 51 years old, 185 pounds and bench about 235. I found the assembly of the bench was straight forward since the parts were labeled and wrapped in segregated areas on a piece of cardboard for easy identification. After assembly, the bench (inclining back) did seem loose, however when in use I had zero stability issues (it is possible that someone whom is just starting to use free weights may have some issues until they learn the balance needed to use free weights). The leg apparatus is much better on this bench than my old bench. The ability to adjust height and the distance from the pivot to the pad allows for full extension during extensions. There is not full range for leg curls, but it is also better than my old bench. In addition, the bench has a set of wheels under the front to allow for easy moving around in support of the different needs in different locations (I did not realize it had the wheels, it is a great plus). The Fitness gear squat rack & Marcy impex adjustable weight bench are great combination for squats, bench and inclined bench (I use the safety catch for bench press also which makes It much safer since I do not have a spotter). ... show more

  • Solid bench and can work with cable machine
Color: White
The paint chips easily. But the bench is solid and works great. I can even connect it with a rope and a pulley to my cable machine for leg work. No weights needed.

  • Finally a detailed tall guy review
Color: White
Assembling the bench was pretty easy. It helps having a second set of hands. It took me less than 20 minutes to assemble. I tightened everything I could & the bench does have a wobble. It doesn’t feel unsafe but it is annoying. Also, I can’t get the sleeve that goes over the part that holds the weight to stay on. I’m not exactly sure how to either. Instructions weren’t very clear. The bench appears to be versatile & lightweight which makes moving it easy. The color appeared to look more light gray to me than white. Not a big deal to me. I’m 6’4 230lbs & consider myself to have long legs. I can’t do the leg extensions in a seated position. I have to lay the back down & sit further back on the bench. Even with that my feet are close to dragging the floor but I am able to get a good workout on my quads. My wife who’s 5’9 & long legged also felt she got a better workout doing the same thing. I use bumper plates & you could probably get 3 45lb plates on it. I have considered putting the bench on something so my legs won’t drag in the seated position. I will update this once I do. Overall I’m happy with my purchase. It is a great value. I did a lot of research before purchasing & if you’re over 6ft tall, there are a lot of mixed reviews on benches with leg extensions. **update: I contacted the seller who referred me to the manufacturer (Marcy). Apparently I was missing a screw to hold the sleeve in place. Marcy sent me a new sleeve with the screw. It tightened up without any issue & stays on. Marcy was very prompt on e-mailing me back (as was the seller) & shipped the item very quickly after contacting them. Also, I placed the front end of the bench on a piece of scrap wood. My legs didn’t come close to scraping the ground. So between that & using a cushion to sit on, I believe I can perfect the leg extension for my height. ... show more

  • I am happy to have this. I find it well made and sturdy.
Color: White
I found this to be exactly what I was looking for. It was easy to put together. Takes a little time. It took me about 2 hours. It is a good size for me to use. I found it sturdy and solid and well made. The box was a little damaged when delivered, but I think that was the delivery people. Nothing was damaged and it was all good to go. It looks just as it was advertised to be. I am happy to have it. ... show more

  • It Works For Its Intended Use
Color: White
This is a budget home piece of workout equipment, not commercial quality, that being said, this equipment works good for my short frame. I’ve not experienced any wobble or instability like others have mentioned but then again I’m not putting 500 lbs of weight on it either I’ve had 150 on it and it’s been fine, the one I got is very solid, smooth and I can get a really good leg workout with it. The foam leg cushions are not as soft as previous Marcy benches I’ve had but they look like they will not break down quickly as they have a protective cover over the foam. The only complaint I have is if you have wider thighs the screw that attaches the leg extension pushes into the side of my knee and has caused bruising on initial use so I will have to put a cap on it, I have not seen any other complaints about that happening to anyone else though. I also like that I can fold this up and wheel it into my closet and store it. Nice feature if you are limited on space. In summary, 5 on solid 5 on stable 4 on cushion comfort I’m not going to rate it by the screw sticking out, like I said I have wide thighs. Does the job, may not be suited for taller folks. As for scratches, I had one scratch on it when I got it but I put two on it putting it together…it’s workout equipment. I don’t need it to look pretty just need it to do its job. ... show more
