I am a 76 year old widow, cost was my determining factor. The price is right? The instructions were non-existent except for the on-line video that runs in double time. None of the parts were marked with matching numbers to the video. The measurement for the posts said 138". I took that measurement and marked the underside of the 2x4 eve above the patio. I screwed a small screw into the eve to help with placement of the posts and to add a little bracing so the pole would stay put if bumped. When I tried to attach the roller bar with the posts in place, the posts were 1-1/2" too far apart! I tried cheating by swapping the crank mechanism around, it wasn't enough closer. I still had to move one of the posts. The long pole near the outer edge of the fabric when it is unrolled, is a three piece pole that if you hold it near one end it droops like a wet noodle. The fabric looks beautiful and nicely sewn. The pieces are very clever and easy to put together. I think clear instructions with correct measurements would greatly improve the product and poles and posts should have better structure so they do not droop. Totally worth the price. I am very happy with the finished product and would buy it again.

Parts List - 100% All Necessary Parts - 100% Instructions - 0 % (not included in the package) I had to find & use a competitor's assembly video to complete the assembly process. Now that it is installed it works great, but not having the instructions definitely added about an extra hour to the whole start-to-finish process.

The awning installed easily, looks good, and held up to a Texas thunderstorm. I strongly suggest securing top of each mounting leg- the legs can loosen and this action will keep them in place. If you don’t you will need to periodically check them because the mechanism to apply tension loosens.

It blocks the sun just enough. Wish it was the kind that blocks the sun from the side as well. But you get what you pay for. 1 good wind blew it down. So now I’m stuck with a awning

Ok, this awning can be tricky. You may need to keep adjusting it until you get it right! In addition, I ordered big water weights to keep the bottom from moving due to heavy wind. Always keep the awning up if not in use. Time consuming to put together but not too bad. It all came together though!
