This awning has met my expectation with the exception that I read the measurements wrong. I thought it extended 118”…it does not; however, I’m keeping it. Easy to install, does take patience. Arrived later than expected. This is very challenging to assemble. There were no instructions on how to attach the shade to the roller. I finally figured out you have to remove one of the ends and threading it though. Would be nice if that step waa included in the instructions m Also, bolts to secure the top clamps holding the shade are hidden but included on the screw. Funny place to find it. I was almost going to the hardware store when I saw it threaded on. I have requested help from the manufacturer via email as one of the tightening bolts head came off whike setting it up. Thats why my shade is a bit low over the door. Hopefully they will send me a replacement bolt. Also, the top rubber pads don't swivel. So I had to improvise as my overhang is slightly sloped. The tension rod arrangement is not contacting the underside of the overhang complely. On the plus side it does seem to work as advertised. It was nearly impossible to set up alone, i spent 2 full days in 100 plus degrees trying to figure it out. Finally managed by using a tall ladder to hold the other end of the shade and somehow got it set up. Whew! Hopefully it will hold up, as I really don't want to try setting this up again. Customer service is so so. Got on a flash sale.

Go to the hardware store and buy wall brackets to attach poles to wall. This is a good buy, but think closet or curtain rods. That's how these 'attach' to your window. The first storm that came up, it was hanging off one side. The tension on the poles can only go so far. And now with the wall brackets in place, all is good so far.
