Description

Wildfire Wildfire is a hot, reddish-orange dye that glows under black light. For best results, we recommend lightening hair to a very light level 9 blonde or lighter before use. 1. Wash hair with a deep cleansing/clarifying shampoo. Do not condition. 2. Dry hair with a blow dryer to make sure the hair is extremely porous. 3. Put on gloves and apply Manic Panic Hair Color using a tint brush making sure hair is thoroughly saturated. 4. Comb through the hair color to make sure it is evenly applied. The cream may become slightly frothy. 5. Cover hair with a plastic cap and leave on for 30-45 minutes. For more intensity, add heat. 6. Rinse with cool water away from your face and body until water runs clear. Do not shampoo. 7. Style as desired. To prevent color transfer or bleeding, always make sure your hair is completely dry. Pro Tip: Use a hair dryer to evenly apply heat for 5-10 minutes of your processing time. This will help to open up the cuticle and allow the Manic Panic hair color to better penetrate the hair strand. Make sure to allow the hair to cool completely before rinsing out color.

So I need to preface that I’ve been doing my own hair at home for a while. I went from a faded purple that I then stripped, then applied this color and oh my goodness it’s so vibrant. I dyed my hair July 26th, and today is October 16th for an idea (and I’ve only dyed it once which was in July. It still is SO vibrant. It faded to a magenta color but I still get so many compliments on my hair. Some things to keep in mind: - it will stain. If you get it in your tub, let some spray bleach sit on it, it will take it out. If you stain your skin, it can wash out after a few attempts or you can use rubbing alcohol. - even now my hair still bleeds when washing it after dying it 3 months ago, so just keep that in mind. - you’ll have a more vibrant effect if you have a lighter base and it will stick a million times better on pre-lightened hair. It won’t stick to virgin hair well. Your hair doesn’t have to be blonde in order to get a vibrant result but the lighter it is, the better the result will be. (Don’t melt your hair trying to achieve my color, I’ve done a number on it within the last year and I’ve been using bonding treatments to get my hair to where it is) Overall, I absolutely am wowed by how long this color has lasted. It truly is a beautiful color and prior to this, I had arctic fox dye on my hair and it washed out after 5-6 washes. I also don’t wash my hair every day. I’ll wash it twice a week so that will help with the life of your hair color but even so, I’ve never had a dye last this long especially a semi permanent. If you’re looking for a fun color, I highly recommend manic panic. Just PLEASE prepare for staining. Any fashion color is bound to stain. Make sure you’re able to either a. Deal with it until it fades off your skin or b. Take precautions before and/or after applying the dye. ... show more

one of the best hair dyes out there! it stays in my hair for so long and it’s still vibrant! for me the ends and the top of my head fades out the fastest, the middle of my hair usually stays pretty vibrant. even with my hair faded, i still get compliments! However these are pretty small, i have average hair length, and curly hair and i need two jars. my hair only bleeds in the shower the first couple times after i dye it. its a pretty great semi permanent hair dye! ... show more

so red and it glows if you have red/pink/orange led's!! the tiniest almost imperceptible touch orangey if you're super super picky but it is firetruck red even after shampooing and high heat (490f cause i have very thick hair) highly recommend!! i used a jar and a half for 4b/3c shoulder length hair and put the rest in a bottle of conditioner to keep my color vibrant after washes. it will stain EVERYTHING so use vaseline before hand because alcohol wipes can only do so much, and if you're fair skinned i can imagine you will look like a lobster if you dont protect your skin lol I pre lightened with level 30 developer and i started at around a level 4-6 (darkish brown with red understones) and went straight in with the manic panic on towel dried hair ... show more

The results were better than I expected. The Dye took to my dark hair very well. I left it in for about 40 minutes. The only drawback is the color will turn to a dark pink after several washes and this is with me only washing my hair every other day.

    • Most brilliant purple, easy to apply
Color: Ultra Violet Size: 4 fluid ounces (Pack of 1)
This is the richest shade of semi-permanent purple that I have used. (Truth: I like to mix 1/3 Arctic Fox Purple AF and 2/3 Manic Panic Ultra Violet in a small bowl. But Manic Panic alone is just fine.) The process takes me all of 15 minutes including moving things around in the bathroom and putting on rubber gloves. I re-apply every two weeks or so because I prefer a brilliant color. (I've gone weeks longer and the shade fades nicely.) I stick my gloved fingers in the dye, transfer some from right hand to left, and using finger tips I apply it somewhat haphazardly on top, sides, and back. I don't try to cover up all my natural white (I'm almost 83). I wait 15 or 20 minutes, then rinse in lukewarm/coolish water for 5 minutes before applying a couple tablespoons of Olaplex #3. After another 10-15 minutes I shampoo. Every day I hear "I love your hair!" from women and men, young and old. It's fun to give people something to smile about. ... show more

The first time I got this hair color from Amazon it was amazing!! Super creamy and went on thorough and easy. It lasted a long time and gave me vibrant color. I told everyone that complimented my hair what the brand was and recommended it. The second time I got the same color, but it was the consistency of the slime that kids play with and it was dull and didn't last hardly at all. I don't know if it was an old batch or what. I was very disappointed. If this was the way it was the first time I would have gotten something else the second time. Because it was so good the first time, I am willing to give it another chance... Let me start off by saying I have been dying my hair at home for 12 years. I always heard of Manic Panic but never tried it. Well I have been a redhead 1.5 years now so I decided to try it. I've watched plenty of Brad Mondo videos. But nothing could prepare me for this experience. This was by far, one of the most horrifying experiences of my life. I would have to honestly say that in my entire adult lifetime I only made one more mistake more drastic - my ex boyfriend of 8 years. I applied the dye, everything was fine. Used lotion around the hair line. I had gloves on. I was actually impressed that 1/2 the container covered my shoulder length hair pretty well. I went to go shower; to rinse it out after 30 minutes. I used cool water. That was when everything turned pink. Highlighter pink. My hands, the shower stalls, my legs, my feet, my face. I thought "ok I'll quickly spray off the shower using the shower head".... Then to my horror- I saw that it was not rinsing off. I started scrubbing my skin. Nothing is coming off. It was as bright pink as Willy Wonka going through all those psychedelic colors. I jumped out of the shower. Put my hair in my black towel. Grabbed the scrubbing bubbles under the sink and frantically sprayed the shower stall. Then I applied lotion by the handfuls all over my body. Then I started scrubbing the shower. I looked at myself naked, covered in lotion, pink as a flamingo, and called for my husband to witness my mess so someone else could verify what was happening and to ensure me this was not a dream. He brought me a magic eraser. I scrubbed and scrubbed the shower and myself repeatedly for the next hour. I did get rid of the pink hue except faintly on the shower pan which is currently soaking in bleach as I write this review. My skin is still pink. I need to figure out how I will shower in the future - because hygiene is important- but the thought of my hair leaking more dye terrifies me. I have no idea how Manic Panic is still in business - surely people need to be suing them for damages to their bathrooms by the thousands. This product should not be legal. Do not buy it. It is evil. It is the devil incarnate. Please learn from my mistake. The only way this product may work is with a friend's help and a garden hose outside. But then again I don't know why you would want to go through that since there is far superior products on the market. ... show more

My best friend and I dyed my hair a darker red (I’m a natural redhead. I’d describe my natural color as a lighter red with some natural blonde streaks I guess, but I love dyeing my hair every now and then. I’ve pretty much always stuck with different shades of red, usually with a peekaboo black underneath, because as a natural redhead, apparently you can only pull off certain things. 😂) Anyway, I wanted something a little brighter, so I decided to try this color over the dye we had did, and I LOVE it! I get compliments on my hair all the time. The only downside is apparently my hair grows incredibly fast at the roots but refuses to actually get longer at the same speed 😂 So the roots start showing way sooner than I’d like. But anyway, point is that I love the vibrant color, its exactly what I was looking for and it was definitely worth the price. ... show more
